20. Lars

Lars

The smell of sex invades my senses as I open my eyes to see Cain’s smug face.

He places a cup of coffee on the bedside table and smirks. “Good morning, Sunshine. Figured you needed this after last night.” He shakes his phone in the air. “You slept like a bear, but I got the party on video for you.”

I turn my head to see a very naked Billie gazing at me with a giant smile on her beautiful face. Ignoring Cain, I roll over, supporting my weight on my forearms, and stare at her. “You’re here.”

She brushes back the hair that’s flopped onto my forehead. “I am.”

“You’re staying?”

“I am.”

“I love you.” I turn to Cain. “And you.” I stop as I take in his bare chest, something I haven’t seen in years. “Is that why you always wear a shirt?” I nod to the tattoo, a broken heart, one half a portrait of Billie and the other of me. The date Trevor died sits in the middle.

“Yes,” Cain says, rubbing his chest. “I wasn’t sure how you’d feel about it. You were spiraling, and it was another thing that could’ve set you off. We were doing okay. You were better. It was easier to wear the shirts and keep this for myself.”

My eyes meet Cain’s, my one constant. The person who stuck by me when I didn’t deserve it. He brought me back from my pain time and again, refusing to let it take me under. “I love you, Cain.”

Cain smiles as he places one knee on the bed. He reaches down to massage my balls with one hand and grabs Billie’s tit with the other. “How about we watch that video while fuckin’ our girl?”

“You fucked the reporter?”

Kaye’s scream makes Billie jump. She hops out of bed, pulling the sheets behind her. Her eyes narrow as she steps toward Kaye. “What the fuck? Do you make it a habit to walk in on them?”

Kaye gestures toward my rock-hard cock, pointing at the ceiling. “No. I’ve never seen their dicks until now.”

Billie is so mortified that she rips the sheet off herself and throws it over my midsection.

I look down and smirk. “Now I’ve got a ghost dick.”

Cain bursts out laughing.

Billie throws a pillow at his face. “This isn’t funny. Random women barging into your hotel room don’t give me the warm and fuzzies. You said I was the only one.”

“You are. Kaye’s never been on the radar,” Cain says.

“Keep your eyes to yourself, Kaye,” I warn when I catch her eyes roaming over Billie’s body.

“Sweetheart, they don’t have the right anatomy,” Kaye says with a smirk. “You, on the other hand…”

“Oh.” Billie pulls the sheet off me and covers herself.

Kaye chuckles and turns her attention to Cain and me. “What the hell are you two doing fucking the reporter?”

I shake my head. “She’s not a reporter. Well, she is, but she’s also ours. Now, unless you have anything of real importance to say, see yourself out.”

“What do you mean, ours?” Kaye asks suspiciously.

“Their girlfriend, Kaye. I’m their fuckin’ girlfriend,” Billie interjects.

“Girlfriend? These two don’t have girlfriends.”

“Kaye, if you don’t stop harassing our wife and get the fuck out of our room, I’ll fire your ass,” Cain snaps.

“Your wife?” Kaye and Billie ask in unison.

Cain nods. “Yes, our wife. Girlfriend isn’t important enough for what you are, Tinkerbell.”

“Oh, for fuck’s sake,” Kaye curses, throwing her hands in the air as she walks away. “Just don’t create extra work for me.”

As soon as the hotel room door slams behind her, Cain turns to Billie and me. “Now where were we?”
