Chapter 9

"Your highness?"

Michel's voice floated through the closed doors, and his knock made Dani jump. Since she was still sitting on my dick, I moaned at the sensation and hardened all over again.

"Céline just texted. You have ten minutes before the processional starts."

"Shit!" I muttered as I sat up straight, remembering where the hell I was, and why.

"Holy cow!" Dani squeaked as she scrambled off my lap. "You have…and we just…holy cow!"

I could help chuckling at how damn adorable she was rambling and hunting around for her dress.

"Relax, princesse. Nobody will know what we've been up to." I grinned at the accidental pun, but she didn't appear amused.

"Relax? You just made me scream your name in a freaking church! I mean, I didn't do it out loud, but still! We are going to hell. And Michel and Loni definitely knew what we were doing! You weren't even trying to be quiet! Holy crap…burning in hell."

I rose to my feet and tucked myself back in, then adjusted the sash I was wearing to cover my reaction to my woman running around naked. She found her bra and put it on, but I spied her dress under the table, so I bent over and picked it up. "Looking for this?"

Dani huffed and stomped over, making a grab for it, but I pulled it from her reach.

"A kiss first."

She let out a cute little growl, and I raised an eyebrow. "Or you can hang out here. I don't hate the idea of you naked and waiting for me."

"Hell, Tristan. We are going to hell. Now give me my dress!"

I waited until she finally gave in and kissed me swiftly, then let her snatch her dress from my fingers and put it on.

"How do I look?" she asked as she ran her hands through her hair and straightened her already perfectly straight dress.

"Freshly fucked and sexy as hell." I grinned when she gasped and ran to a window to try to see her reflection. "Princesse, you look gorgeous, now let's go before my sister becomes queen and sentences me to be drawn and quartered for missing it."

I held out my hand, and she placed hers on top so I could lace our fingers together.

"Where should I wait for you?" she asked softly as I led her from the room.

Michel smirked, and Dani blushed from the roots of her hair to the tips of her toes. I glared at him, and he swiftly dropped the smile.

"You'll sit with the rest of my family, princesse," I informed her as we hurried through the halls.

"What? I can't—"

"This isn"t up for debate, Dani," I scolded firmly. "You are my fiancée. You are my family. You will sit in the spot that those titles deserve."

She was quiet, which I took as a sign that she was gearing up for a big argument that we didn't have time for. But when I glanced down at her, she had a dreamy expression and a sweet smile on her face.

"I love you, princesse."

Dani met my gaze and beamed at me. "I love you, too."

When we reached the side entrance to the chapel, I asked Michel to show Dani where to sit, then gave her a quick kiss before ascending the dais to take my place by my brother.

I had no doubt the media had caught the kiss, but I didn't have a single fuck to give. Let them have their feeding frenzy, then move on to the next royal scandal.

Throughout the ceremony, my focus kept shifting to my woman, and I wondered if she wanted a big wedding. My parents had been married here, in the country's oldest and biggest cathedral. I would give Dani whatever she wanted, except waiting to marry her. We could have a wedding later, but I was going to give her my last name as soon as we got back to New York.

When the ceremony was over, I hugged my sister and congratulated her. Then I went to retrieve Dani.

"We have to make an appearance at the reception," I grumbled. "Or my mother will skin me alive. I'd rather take you back to my suite and fuck you until you pass out."

"Would you stop cursing in church?" she hissed. "It's bad enough I had to sit through that ceremony without any panties on!"

I grinned. "Yeah, I was extremely grateful for this sash because I kept thinking about your bare, wet pussy…such easy access, and it made me hard as fuck."

Dani tossed her hands in the air and muttered, "You're impossible."

"It must be hereditary," Isa sighed as she came to stand next to Dani. "I say the same thing about Philippe. Hi, I'm Isabella. Philippe's fiancée."

"Oh! Hi!" Dani grinned. "I'm happy to meet you!" Then she placed her hand on Isa's arm and leaned in to say something in her ear. Isa laughed, and Dani winked at her before Philippe appeared and whisked his fiancée away.

"What did you say to Isa?"

"Wouldn't you like to know?" Dani quipped with a smirk.

"Such sass," I murmured in her ear. "Are you trying to earn a spanking?"

She looked up at me through her lashes, but she didn't respond.

My girl was definitely in the mood to be punished. But I let the subject of her secret with Isa drop for now. She'd tell me before the night was through.

We exited the church, and when Dani saw the crowd, she retreated into herself. "You look gorgeous, princesse. Stop feeling self-conscious."

Her cheeks turned pink, and she smiled at me as we descended the steps and climbed into the waiting carriage. I pulled her into my side and settled back for the ride, not caring that I was supposed to be waving and whatever to the public.

When we reached the castle, the footman who opened the door helped Dani from the carriage, then murmured to me as I followed. "I was told to tell you to take your fiancée to your sister's suite before going to the reception."

It shouldn't have surprised me considering her antics with Isa. I was sure Céline was chomping at the bit to meet Dani.

When we arrived, I knocked on the door, and when it opened, I was nearly knocked over by a gaggle of the cutest kids in the world.

"Uncle Tristan!"

I laughed and swung them around a few times, making them scream excitedly. When I set them down, both girls and their brother started talking simultaneously, making my head spin.

"Kids! Give Uncle Tristan a break!" Timothée scolded as he walked out into the hall. He smiled at Dani and held out his hand. "Hello, I'm Céline's husband, Timothée. We've been very excited to meet you, Dani."

"Dani's out there?" Céline shouted from inside the suite. In seconds, she was shoving past her husband and throwing her arms around my princess. "Welcome!! I've been dying to meet you. Come with me, come with me," she said, ushering Dani inside.

I started to follow, but Céline pivoted and pointed a finger at me. "Not you."

If she hadn't given me that pouty face that had always made Phillipe and I suckers when we were younger, I would have forced my way in. I just got Dani back, I didn't like being away from her. Who was I kidding? I would never like being more than a few feet from her.

But since my sister had perfected the puppy dog eyes, I sighed and backed up to lean against the wall across from the door.

"So?" I asked Timothée. "How does it feel to be king?"

He blew out a breath and ran his hand through his hair. "Honestly? Surreal. It wasn't something I ever expected, so now, I'm just trying to get used to it. But Céline has some amazing ideas, and I look forward to helping her with those."

"Don't sell yourself short, Timothée," I said as I clapped him on the shoulder. "The best part about making our sister queen was that she came as a package deal. You both bring out the best in each other, and I know you will always have this country's best interest at heart."

"Thanks," he said, looking a little relieved.

Philippe and Isa walked up and looked at us curiously.

Timothée smiled at Isa. "Céline has requested that you join her and Dani in her suite." Then he looked at Philippe, who was about to follow his fiancée. "The Queen has ordered you to stay put."

Phillip's eyes went wide, and his jaw dropped. "She can't—"

I snorted and interrupted him. "Oh, yes, she can. You aren't the Crown Prince any longer."

"I…uh…forgot."

For the first time in my entire life, I saw a little tinge of pink on my brother's cheeks. "Putain de merde," I said with a chuckle. He was blushing!

Philip tossed a scathing glare my way, and I just smiled.

We chatted for a while, though it felt like fucking hours. Finally, when I was ready to bust in and see what the hell they were doing, the door opened.

"Gentlemen," Céline said haughtily. "Don't be assholes, because I will keep these awesome chicks and throw your asses to the curb."

I wasn't so sure she was joking.

But my mind emptied of everything except Dani when she stepped out into the hall.

"?a me laisse pantoise," I breathed. I was speechless.

Dani's blond locks were gathered into a low ponytail on one side of her head, and the soft waves flowing down to rest on one of her incredible breasts. Her makeup was light, just enough to accent all of her best features, and she was wearing a diamond necklace and earrings that had been in my family for centuries.

I almost swallowed my tongue when I scanned the gown she was wearing. It was silver and silky, clinging to her every curve. The front dipped into a low cowl neckline that showed just a hint of cleavage. I didn't like the thoughts it would inspire in other men, but the hopeful look on Dani's face meant I would man the fuck up and deal with it. Then she shifted, and I noticed the slit in the skirt. I'd missed it at first glance because it wasn't fitted from the waist down and the material swished, hiding the split at first.

It went all the way up to the top of her thigh. Any higher, and it would show the bottom of her panties. A red haze misted at the sides of my vision, and I turned to tell my sister that no way in hell was my woman going dressed like that, but she stared at me in a way that dared me to ruin Dani's happiness.

Merde.

"You look absolutely gorgeous, princesse." I told Dani as I closed the distance between us and cupped her face. "How did I get so damn lucky?"

Dani melted into me, and I put my arms around her, splaying my hands on her back…all I felt was skin. I pulled away and flipped her around.

Her naked fucking back. I was going to kill my sister. The dress had a cowl in the back as well, except it dipped so low that it barely hid the crack of her ass. The thick straps at the top curled under her arms to connect back with the front of the dress.

"No fucking way," I growled. "Find something else to wear."

Dani's face fell, and I could feel my sister's deadly gaze boring into the side of my head.

"The only person allowed to see that much of you is me, princesse."

"Not a chance in hell!" I heard my brother exclaim suddenly, and I figured Céline had pulled the same shit with Isa's dress.

"I told you he wouldn't go for it," Isa grumbled. I glanced over, and when I saw the sides of her dress, or lack thereof, I understood my brother's outburst.

Dani and Isa shared a look then each glared at their respective fiancée before marching back into the suite.

"What the hell, Céline?" I snapped.

"You're such Neanderthals!" Céline shouted, tossing her hands in the air and marching after the girls.
