Epilogue Cash

I can't stop smilingand it's a little scary. I've got every damn thing I want. Reid married our girl but she's all of ours.

And she's smiling at our three daughters. Three little girls that are the moon and stars for all of us. Court laughs at us when the girls twist us around their chubby little fingers. But they are the spitting image of their mother and there's no way that we'd ever tell her no unless it was something that could hurt her.

Or another man. If any man looks at her one of us make sure to put them in their place and we always will. Not even three children and our fourth on the way has settled any of us. We're still feral when it comes to her.

Little Dee runs into the room and catches her heel on the carpet, slipping and falling. She immediately starts wailing. She's the youngest at two and my heart breaks when I see tears rolling down her cheeks.

I catch her up and throw her up in the air, kissing her chubby little cheeks and trying to put a smile on her face.

"Hey, sweetheart! It's all good." I sit her down and check out the very tiny scratch on her knee. I lean down and kiss it, blowing a raspberry below it and making her giggle which makes my heart stall and then pound.

Fuck! I love my girls.

She giggles and holds up her arms. "Take me for a ride, Daddy!" And I pick her up and jog around the room like I'm a horse out for a gallop, whinnying and fighting my own giggles when Reid and Max come into the room and groan.

"Oh shit! He's got the little one and it's horsey time!" But they bow their heads and help the girls clamber on board and we gallop around like complete and utter idiots.

Because we'd do anything for our girls. All of them.

Court rubs her big, round belly and smiles at us, her eyes so soft and serene.

Evan is gone for a good long time and we've all basically forgotten him. All the shadows are gone from her eyes and she's looking forward to our first boy.

And then she's said we're done having babies. But I think we'll have to talk about that because she glows when she's knocked up with our babies and I can't get enough of her like that.

I move over by her and hold her waist, kissing her lightly. "I'm gonna get you later, baby girl."

She just smiles and laughs. "Bring on your worst. I can take it." And she can. She's made all of our lives better and I thank fuck every day that we won her over even after we tricked her. It could have gone so much worse but either way, she was bound to be ours. It was fate. Meant to be.

And you can't fight fate.
