Epilogue—Three Years Later

R oam gave his wife a kiss on the cheek, brushing her pink hair back from her face. Her cute medusa piercing had a diamond in it from their last anniversary. He hated leaving her because she hadn't been feeling good, but he wasn't disappointing Blake.

"Let's go, Daddy Roam. Places to go. Ice cream to eat and letters to write."

Blake leaned over and kissed Sprite's cheek and then rubbed her burgeoning belly. Sprite had sailed through the first trimester without any nausea. Second trimester had hit, and the nausea was dragging her down.

"Are you going to be okay with the other kids?"

Sprite made a shooing motion from her spot in the recliner. "Go. Remi and Regina are coming over with Amelia. They'll hang out. Regina said Baron would join us all for dinner and help with bath time. Go enjoy our girl."

Roam made sure Sprite had a bucket beside her and a small glass of ginger ale. Most of the times she had plenty of notice and could make it to the bathroom. A couple times, she heaved so violently and quickly that she'd thrown up on herself before she could get to the bathroom.

"If you're sure..."

"Daddy Roam, Remi's here. She's fine. You know she gets irritated when you hover."

Roam bit his lip at Sprite's eyes dancing with laughter. Their daughter was growing up and had her own opinions with zero problems letting Roam know how he could be a better husband. He couldn't wait to see what type of man could dance to Blake's tune. He dropped a quick kiss on his wife's head and walked out the door. Blake had her helmet on and was holding his.

After Cannon's wreck, very few of the guys rode without helmets if they'd be on the highway. Flick was positive Cannon would have never survived if he wouldn't have been wearing it.

Roam quickly got his helmet and sat on his bike, waiting for his daughter to get on behind him. After she wrapped her arms around him, he slowly took off, though his little daredevil would like for him to go faster. Blake might be only nine, but she loved all sports. She especially loved racing the other kids on the compound on the dirt bikes.

She and Phoebe were best friends and were adamant they are going to run the bail bonds together. He didn't doubt that they could do anything they put their minds to, and he'd be cheering them on.

He backed into the spot in front of the diner and waited for Blake to get off the bike before hanging their helmets and following her in. Bear had a table reserved for them. He'd done it the first time and had continued the tradition of helping Roam show Blake how special she was. He waved at Hennessy and his wife. Crazy how times had changed. Roam hadn't thought Hennessy would be one to settle down. He waved at Bootstrap and his woman too. They were in town for tattoos.

He sat down across from Blake and waited as she got her supplies out. She was the one to suggest that first time that they take care of business, then have fun. It was something he'd heard Liam say a couple times over the years. Liam had made good on his promise and been there for their wedding and had taken leave once a year, sometimes for only two days but it was something Blake counted on.

Seeing Blake before him and thinking about his pregnant wife at home and their tears, he marveled at what a lucky man he was. When he'd been in that horrible relationship with Shanna, he'd never imagined the beauty his life would be blessed with.

"What should I write to Daddy?"

"What's been fun lately?"

"Oh, I want to write how I even beat the boys on the dirt bike. He'll like that."

Roam looked at Blake, "I love you, Blake. Your daddy will love that."

"I love you too, Daddy Roam."
