I can’t shake the nervous excitement as I lead Bria towards the Winchester cabin once more. This time in the early spring when there’s nothing but wildflowers blooming. What was once our sanctuary nestled in the heart of Storm Canyon has now become our favorite place to go and just spend a day. With the Winchesters’ blessing of course. The blend of warm sunlight filtering through the canopy of trees above and the chirping of birds create a serene backdrop to my racing thoughts.

As we reach the cabin, I take a deep breath, steadying myself before turning to Bria. I drop down on one knee, my heart pounding with emotion.

“Bria, from the moment I met you, my life has been brighter, fuller… unexpected,” she giggles, “and so much better. You have been my rock, my light in the darkness. And now, as we stand here in this place that holds so much meaning for us, I can't imagine spending my life with anyone else but you."

Bria’s eyes widen with realization as I reach into my pocket, producing a small velvet box.

Opening it to reveal a shimmering ring, I continue, “Will you do me the honor of marrying me, Bria?”

Bria's hands fly to her mouth in shock, tears welling up in her eyes as she nods vigorously down at me. “Yes, yes, a thousand times yes, Donte!” she exclaims, her voice trembling with joy.

A smile as wide as the Storm Canyon itself crosses my face, I slip the ring onto her finger, sealing our promise of forever. I rise and hold her in a tight embrace, feeling the weight of our love and commitment in that moment.

As we stand together in front of the Winchester cabin, surrounded by the beauty of Storm Canyon and the endless possibilities of our future, I sense a surge of happiness unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.

With a mixture of excitement and nervousness, Bria whispers into my ear, “I have something else to tell you.”

I pull back slightly to look at her, filled with curiosity.

Bria takes a deep breath before dropping a bombshell. “I'm pregnant.”

Two simple words that change my life, like she has.

In pure shock at Bria's words, a wave of emotions crashes over me all at once. The realization that we are starting a family together, that our love is now expanding to include a precious new life, fills me with overwhelming joy.

Unable to contain my happiness, I lift Bria off her feet, twirling her around as laughter bubbles up from deep within me. Bria’s laughter mingled with my own, creates a symphony of pure bliss that echoes through the trees surrounding us.

As I set her down gently, I cup Bria's face in my hands, my eyes brimming with tears of joy. “I can't believe it,” I whisper, my voice filled with wonder. “We're going to be parents?”

Bria nods, her eyes shining with unshed tears. “I couldn't imagine going on this journey with anyone else but you,” she says softly, her hand resting on her still-flat stomach where our future child is growing.

In that moment, surrounded by the love of the Winchester cabin and the promise of a new life blooming within me, I feel more complete than I had ever thought possible.

With our hands intertwined and our hearts full of hope and love, we stand together, ready to go on a new chapter of our lives in Storm Canyon. I’ve moved back permanently and only have to go to Omaha once more to testify.

As the sun dips below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow over the landscape, it’s easy to see that no matter what challenges lay ahead, we will face them together, united in a love that is as enduring as the mountains that cradle our new home. And as we gaze out at the beauty of the canyon spread out before us, there’s a profound sense of gratitude for all that had brought them to this moment.

The hardships.

The struggles.

And most importantly, the unwavering love that has carried us through it all. Surrounded by the beauty of Storm Canyon and the promise of a new beginning, I know that no matter what trials we face, as long as we have each other, we can weather any storm.

Our love is a force to be reckoned with, an unbreakable bond that would carry them through all the joys and any heartaches.
