Sarra

I was scared. I was supposed to have a pain shot. How was a baby going to squeeze out of me down there? I looked at Reaper; he didn't look scared, which calmed me a little.

"Reaper, I want you to leave the room. I don't want you to see me having a baby." Another pain hit me, and I cried out, grabbing his hand and squeezing. "I want a pain shot!" I cried.

"It's too late for a pain shot," the doctor said. "On your next contraction, I want you to bear down."

"Reaper, why are you still here? I want you to leave while I have the baby. I don't want you to see me like this."

"Sweetheart, I am not leaving. Squeeze my hand when you have pain, and stop telling me to leave. I love you and Glory and want to be here for both of you."

I didn't have a chance to answer as another pain ripped through my body. This time, I felt the baby pushing to get out.

"Push," the doctor said. I cried out, and Reaper leaned down and hugged me tight as I pushed. "Here she comes. Her hair is as black as her mommy's. Push again. Did you say her name was Glory?"

"Yes, her name is Glory," Reaper said.

"Glory, meet your parents."

Reaper slowly stood and looked at the baby. I saw his smile. When Glory was put on my chest, tears fell from my eyes. She wasn't happy. Her cries demanded she be put back where she was safe. "You're safe with us, baby. Daddy won't let anything happen to us." I laughed when she cried louder, and so did Reaper. I glanced at him, and he was wiping his eyes.

"Let me clean her up while the doctor takes care of you," the nurse said.

"Go with our baby, Reaper. Don't let Glory out of your sight," I whispered. Reaper leaned down and kissed me.

The doctor cleaned me up. But I needed a shower. The baby was calm when Reaper returned, holding her in his arms. He laid her in my arms. "She's beautiful," he said, kissing her head.

"She is so special; it scares me so much thinking of her with Amanda. There is still a brother out there somewhere. He left because he didn't want anything to do with killing me. But he was there when my family was killed."

"Don't worry about them anymore. Matthew and Beau are taking care of everything. We know about the other brother. None of them will ever hurt you again."

"I know I'm not worried about them anymore. Are we going home now?"

"You and Glory are going to the hospital to get checked out first. I'm going to tell Shane the baby's here. He leaned down and kissed me, and then he kissed our baby. "I love both of you so much. I don't care where we live as long as we are together."

"Do we have to go to the hospital?"

"Yes, sweetheart. We are making sure both of you are in perfect condition. The ambulance will take you and Glory."

"I want you to be with us. We have to make sure the last uncle is caught before he can hurt Glory," I said. I was scared as long as any of those horrible people were living.

I was sure she heard my growl when she mentioned him hurting Glory. "I will fucking kill anyone who lays a finger on Glory or you. No one will have a chance to get near you again. Matthew and some others have gone after him. They'll make sure he doesn't have a chance of getting anywhere around you," Reaper growled.

"Reaper, I love you and don't want you to get upset. You might put more pressure on your eyes." How are your eyes feeling?"

Reaper looked at me and smiled. "My eyes are doing great. I know you're trying to change the subject. But I will ride with you and Glory in the ambulance."

The door opened, and Bub charged inside. He spotted me and stopped when he saw the baby. He walked over, sniffed her, and then sat down like he was guarding us.
