Epilogue 1
Six months later
"IS IT DONE?" I ASKCalvin, phone pressed to my ear with one hand as I hold a gun in my other, pointing it to the two people who made my life a living hell.
"It's done," Calvin confirms, and I let out a sigh of relief. Calvin is at our father"s house, giving him a very similar fate to the one that I'm about to give these two fucking pieces of shit. "I'll meet you back at the house in an hour. I'll have my men make sure there"s no trace. Remember, do not touch anything."
"I won't."
"Good job, little brother. You didn't have to do this."
"I do," I tell him. "If it means keeping our omega safe, then I do."
"I agree."
He hangs up, and I slip the phone back in my pocket. "Are you done yet?" I ask in a bored tone as Karen and Charles cry like the pathetic wastes-of-space they are.
"Why are you doing this?" she sobs as she writes down her own suicide note.
"Because the world will be a better place without you in it. I'm giving you an easy out. I could make this slow and painful, but I'm giving you the courtesy to go quickly."
"I always knew you were fucked in the head," Charles snivels out as he writes his.
"Me?" I snort out a laugh. "I'm not someone who fucking takes in foster girls, touches them, and when they become omegas fucking sells them! I know what you were planning on doing with Jade. I know what that crazy bitch ex-manager of mine paid you to do, too. You kept Jade from us. You lied. You are just as much to blame as Gianna was, as my father is. Don't think I don't know about his involvement. I'm just glad in the end it was all for nothing."
"Not nothing." He laughs. "You lost six years with her."
"And now I have a fucking lifetime!" I snarl.
Calvin dug up a lot on these fuckers. Most of it was done before Jade was placed into their home. Jade wasn't the first girl they tried this with. But thankfully, she was the last. Calvin admitted that after Jade was no longer in their care, even though we didn't know where she was, he still put a call in andmade sure they lost their foster care license.
He has no idea how much that meant to the four of us. After all the shit we had to endure, I'm glad no one else had to suffer after Jade. Not that Jade should have had to deal with any of it. I'm just glad it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
Once they're done, I read over the notes. When I deem them good enough, I take a step back.
"You have nothing to live for. You have no money, no job, no house. Nothing. I could let you live and have you locked up. And to be honest, your fates would have been much, much worse than this in prison, because I know the people in there don"t take too kindly to child abusers, so really, I'm doing you a favor."
"Fuck you," Charles spits.
"Nah. You're not into little boys are you? We would have kicked your ass if you even tried. We're the reason why you never got the chance to put your hands on Jade. And she hated you far too much to get closer to you after we left." I wink.
"Please. Please, don't do this," Karen pleads. "I'll do anything."
"There's nothing you can offer me. You two chose to do this, and now you get to suffer the consequences."
Ten minutes later, both of them are dead, their eyes wide and foam gathering at their mouths, thanks to the enhanced cyanide pills Calvin got his hands on.
Making sure not to touch anything, I leave the house that holds so many bad memories. Although, the good outweighed the bad.
Getting into my car, I drive to the very secure house we bought just outside of Las Vegas.
After we found out Jade was pregnant, we talked and decided that making Las Vegas our home base was the best for everyone. So we settled here, and life has been pretty fucking amazing. We're taking a break from touring and slowly working on new music, but mostly we just want to spend time together, enjoying our lives as stress free as long as we can.
Calvin, true to his word, worked long and hard to get everything he needed on our father. It was a lot worse than he even expected.
We ended up finding out that the PI we hired worked for our father. He kept coming back with nothing because he didn't even look into her. We had been fed lies, there was a whole set up to keep us apart without any of us knowing.
It worked. Until it didn't. Eventually we found our way back to each other, like we were always meant to do.
"Hey," I whisper, finding Calvin standing at the bedroom door, watching Jade sleep. Everett on one side of her, Griffin on the other. My heart does funny shit when I see both of their hands laying on the swell of her pregnant belly.
"Hey," he responds, not looking at me. "It's done?"
"Exactly how you told me to."
"Good." He nods. "For her."
"For her."
Because that omega is our whole world. We would die for her, kill for her, and burn the world to the ground for her. If we can help it, she will never feel pain again, never know what it's like to feel lonely.
We live and breathe for our omega. And now we'll do the same for our daughter.
