43. Emma

I knockon the heavy oak door with a trembling hand. A few seconds later, it swings open to reveal Slade's handsome face, his lips turned up in that sexy half-smile I adore.

"Hey gorgeous," he greets me, giving me a quick kiss. "Come on in."

He takes my hand and leads me into a stunning foyer, with gleaming hardwood floors and a crystal chandelier. I glance around, in awe at the elegant surroundings. There's an incredible smell wafting from the kitchen, wherever that is.

Lukas, Alex, and Ryan come out of the room to the left of the foyer, which appears to be a living room.

Lukas leans casually against the doorframe, his emerald eyes sparking with desire as they rake over my body. "Well, well, look what the cat dragged in," he teases with a wink.

Alex rolls his eyes at Lukas and steps forward to envelop me in a warm hug. "Ignore him. We're so glad you're here, Emma."

Ryan hangs back a little, hands shoved in the pockets of his jeans as he gives me a small smile. "Hey, you," he says softly, and my heart does a little flip at the gentle affection in his tone.

My gaze flicks between the four of them, my pulse quickening. "What's going on, guys? What is this place?"

Slade squeezes my hand, his thumb rubbing circles on my skin. "It's a house we're borrowing. We wanted to make you a special dinner. Come on," he says,

Slade leads me further into the house, down a hallway and into a gorgeous gourmet kitchen. The countertops are gleaming white marble, and stainless steel appliances shine under the recessed lighting. In the center of the room stands a large dining table, and my mouth falls open when I see what's on it.

An elaborate dinner is laid out, complete with fine china, crystal glasses, and an elegant floral centerpiece. The aroma I smelled earlier is even stronger in here, an enticing blend of savory and spicy scents.

"You guys did all this for me?" I ask, my voice choked with emotion.

"Of course we did, princess," Lukas says, coming up behind me to wrap his arms around my waist. "We thought we might have something to celebrate."

"You did, huh?" I ask, leaning back against his strong chest.

Alex smiles at me from across the table as he pulls out a chair. "We had a feeling Vincent might offer you that video coach position after I talked to him. And judging from the grin on your face when you walked in, I'm guessing he did just that?"

I slide into the chair, practically bouncing with excitement. "He did! I can't believe it. I'm going to be an assistant video coach for the Blizzards!"

Ryan takes the seat beside me, reaching over to squeeze my hand. "We're so proud of you, Em. You deserve this."

Slade starts uncovering the various dishes on the table, revealing a mouth-watering spread. There's a sizzling cast iron skillet of garlic butter steak bites, a giant bowl of creamy mushroom risotto, roasted asparagus with parmesan, and a basket of warm sourdough rolls. My stomach rumbles at the sight and smells of the delicious food.

"This looks incredible," I marvel as the guys take their seats. "I can't believe you cooked all this."

"Well, I may have helped a little," Lukas says with a grin. "But it was mostly Slade and Alex. They're the real chefs here."

Alex shrugs modestly. "We wanted to do something special for you, Emma. To show you how much we believe in you and support your dreams."

Emotion wells up in my chest, and I blink back tears. "I don't know what to say. This means so much to me, having you all here, celebrating with me."

"You never have to doubt that we'll always be here for you, Em," Ryan says, his brown eyes full of sincerity. "No matter what."

I squeeze Ryan's hand, full to bursting with love for these incredible men. "I know. And I'll always be here for all of you, too. I love you guys so much."

"We love you too, Em," Slade says, his voice gruff with emotion. "Now, let's eat before this amazing food gets cold!"

We all laugh and dig in, piling our plates high. The meal is absolutely delicious—the steak is perfectly cooked, the risotto rich and creamy, the asparagus crisp and flavorful. We chat and joke as we eat, the conversation flowing easily.

Lukas regales us with a hilarious story about a prank he and some of the other players pulled on their coach back in juniors. Ryan shares an update on the youth hockey team in Detroit, pride shining in his eyes as he describes their progress.

Alex and I get into a deep discussion about advanced hockey analytics, debating the merits of different metrics for evaluating player performance. His deep knowledge never fails to impress me.

Slade watches us all with a content smile, his role as captain extending even to this dinner table as he ensures everyone is included and enjoying themselves.

As the meal winds down, a comfortable silence settles over the table. I lean back in my chair, savoring the feeling of pure bliss. I'm here, celebrating a huge career milestone, surrounded by the four men I love most in this world. Men who support me, challenge me, and cherish me. Men who each hold a piece of my heart.

"Thank you for doing this," I say, glancing around the table at each of them. I wish we could have dinner together every night like this, like the family that we are. "But seriously…whose house is this?"

Slade lets out a chuckle, giving the other guys a knowing look that I can't quite read. "It belongs to my buddy Travis and his family. Do you want a tour?"

I nod eagerly, curiosity piqued. "Definitely! Lead the way."

We all rise from the table, leaving the dirty dishes for later. Slade takes my hand again as he guides me out of the kitchen and into the main part of the house.

"This place is gorgeous," I marvel as we enter the spacious living room with vaulted ceilings and huge windows overlooking a lush backyard. Velvet couches and armchairs are arranged around a stone fireplace, and built-in bookshelves line one wall.

"Just wait until you see upstairs," Lukas says with a mischievous grin, waggling his eyebrows suggestively.

I elbow him playfully in the ribs. "Is that all you ever think about?"

"With you around, can you blame me?" he quips, dodging another jab.

Slade leads the way up the winding staircase, the rest of us following close behind. As we make our way through all the beautiful rooms of the house, I can't help picturing myself living somewhere like here, surrounded by my gorgeous guys.

Eventually, Slade pauses dramatically in front of a set of heavy wooden double doors before throwing them open with a flourish. "Behold, the master suite!"

I step into the room, and my jaw drops in awe. It's massive, easily twice the size of my entire apartment. A plush California king-sized bed dominates the space, piled high with silky sheets and pillows. Gauzy curtains billow in front of a wall of windows, and flickering candles cast a soft glow. Rose petals are strewn across the floor and bed.

"What is all this?" I breathe, turning to face the guys. They stand together just inside the doorway, matching expressions of love and desire on their handsome faces. Slade steps forward and takes both of my hands in his larger ones.

"Emma, my friend owns this house, but he's selling it. He's moved out of town already, actually—this is all staged furniture. The house is going on the market later this week. The guys and I brought you here tonight because we have something important to ask you," he says, his deep voice sending shivers down my spine.

"These past few months with you have been the most incredible time of our lives," Ryan adds, moving to stand at my side. "You've brought so much joy, passion, and love into our world."

Lukas takes my other side, one strong arm wrapping around my waist. "You're our missing piece, princess. The one who makes us whole."

Alex steps in front of me. My pulse pounds wildly as his intense gaze meets mine. "Emma, what we're trying to say is…will you move in with us? Into this house?"

I stare at them in shock, my mind reeling. Move in with them? Into this stunning house? Tears spring to my eyes as the magnitude of what they're offering hits me.

"You want me to live here with you? All of you?" I whisper, hardly daring to believe it.

"More than anything," Alex confirms, cupping my face tenderly. "We want to build a life with you, Emma. A home. A family."

"It's a big step, we know," Ryan adds gently. "But we're ready, if you are. We love you so damn much."

"So what do you say, princess?" Lukas prompts.

Tears are streaming down my face now as I look at each of my guys, seeing the sincerity and love shining in their eyes. My heart feels like it's about to burst out of my chest.

This is everything I've ever wanted—a home, a family, a future with the men I love more than life itself.

"Yes," I gasp out through my tears. "Yes, yes, a thousand times yes!"

Slade whoops with joy, scooping me up and spinning me around. The others are on us in an instant, arms wrapping around me from all sides, peppering my face with kisses.

"We love you, angel," Alex murmurs against my lips before claiming them in a searing kiss. "So fucking much."

"You've just made us the happiest men in the world," Lukas declares, nuzzling into my neck. "I can't wait to wake up next to you every morning."

"And fall asleep with you in our arms every night," Ryan adds softly, brushing a stray tear from my cheek.

I'm completely overwhelmed, my heart so full it feels like it might explode. I cling to them, savoring the solid warmth of their bodies pressed against mine.

My family. My home. My everything.

"I love you," I tell them, my voice trembling with emotion. "I love you all so much. I can't believe this is really happening."

"Believe it, baby," Slade says, his large hands rubbing soothingly up and down my back. "This is just the beginning for us."

Lukas pulls back slightly, a wicked gleam in his eyes as he pulls back, and my pulse quickens.

I know that look.

It promises pleasure and passion, the kind that will have me screaming their names.

"You know, we should probably christen our new bedroom…" Lukas suggests with a devilish smirk. "Break in that big beautiful bed."

"I like the way you think," I purr, desire already coursing hot through me. Living with these insatiable men, I have a feeling I'll be christening every room in the house.

Multiple times.

"Then let's get you out of this dress, angel," Alex growls, his hands already reaching for the zipper. "As stunning as you look in it, I'd much rather see you wearing nothing but us."

"So impatient," I tease, even as I move to help him. My new blue dress pools at my feet, and I step out of it, now clad only in a lacy white bra and panties.

Four pairs of hungry eyes sweep over my body, desire burning in their depths.

"Perfection," Ryan breathes reverently, drinking me in. "You're so damn beautiful, Emma."

Large hands are on me in an instant, caressing every inch of exposed skin. I moan as Slade's mouth finds my neck, his teeth grazing the sensitive spot just below my ear.

I'm going out of my mind with love for these four men. I can't believe I've finally found a family, a home. A literal home, where we can be as free in our love as we want.

"I want to show you how much I love you all," I say, writhing against Slade. "How much I appreciate you." My hand slides down the front of his pants, making him groan into my neck. My other hand finds Lukas and I stroke him too as he presses up behind me, his own hands cupping and kneading my breasts.

"Let us take care of you first, baby," Alex rasps, sinking to his knees in front of me. He hooks his fingers in my panties and slowly drags them down my legs, helping me step out of them. "Guys, let's worship our angel."

I take a heated breath, dying to know what's in store for me tonight.
