Epilogue One
"Teagen, what are your brothers doing here?" I duck behind Teagen's left shoulder.
"What's wrong with you, Britt? They are here like everyone else, celebrating our championship." Teagen tries to dislodge me from her back, but I cling on for dear life.
She looks over her shoulder, glowering at me. I feel guilty for not confiding in my best friend about why I'm hiding from her brothers.
Her stare starts to burn my skin, the stern look on her face giving me goosebumps. A trickle of sweat breaks out on the middle of my back, and my palms feel slick.
I finally give in, telling her the PG version of what happened that fateful night. "Remember your parent"s Halloween party two years ago?"
"Yeah, you sent me a text saying you were leaving early." She shrugs, unaware that night changed my life forever.
"Right, about that. I left early because I kind of made out with your brother."
"Oh my god, Britt. Which one did you make out with?" Teagan's eyes dart to her three gorgeous brothers making their way through the crowd. She looks back at me. "I bet it was Torin. No, wait, I bet it was Tarek. No, I'm sure it was Talen."
I duck down further until I'm almost sitting on the floor. "Actually, it was all three of them, but they didn't recognize me. I was dressed like Britney Spears in a schoolgirl costume with a mask and everything."
"What?" she screeches, causing heads to turn in our direction.
"Shh, or someone will hear you." I tug on her skirt, chancing a glance around her legs.
Her brothers are headed right for us. I need to get out of here. "I've got to go, Teagan. I'll talk to you later."
She grabs my arm, stopping my escape. "I don't understand. I mean, I get why they wouldn't recognize you. I almost didn't recognize you, and you're my best friend. But are you sure you made out with all three of them? Maybe it was just one. They're identical triplets. Our mother can't even tell them apart, and she gave birth to them."
"They look nothing alike."
Sure, they each have dark hair and dark beards with signature violet-colored eyes, but that's where the similarity ends. I've never understood why people make such a big deal about them being identical triplets. They look nothing alike.
I should come clean and tell her the truth, but how do you tell your best friend that you didn't just make out with all three of her triplet brothers? That you actually had sex with all three of them on the same night.
I take another quick glance around Teagan's legs, relief coursing through my body when I don't see her brothers. Now's my chance to escape. I stay in my crouched position, not wanting to tempt fate by standing and risking one of them spotting me.
With my plan in place, I drop to my hands and knees, not caring if I get my dress dirty or not. Freedom is the only thing I'm thinking about. Not their large cocks and how good it felt to be filled by each one. I wonder what it would feel like to be filled by all three of them at the same time.
Stop thinking about that! I need to escape.
I spin around, keeping my head down, and start to crawl to the door when I bump my head against something hard. "What the hell?" I rub the top of my head, lifting my eyes to the offending object I ran into.
Except it's not an object; it's a pair of legs. A pair of long, strong, muscular legs. My eyes continue up the offending legs to find I'm surrounded by three identical faces, all with the same expression.
Since the Halloween party, I"ve dreamed of being on my hands and knees in front of all of them at once.
"Going somewhere, Brittany?" Torin raises his eyebrow, waiting for my reply.
"There you are, Britt." My savior, Teagan, grabs my arm, helping me to stand up. "I've been looking all over for you. Uncle Colt has a proposition for you."
Three identical growls stop me in my tracks.
"Um, what kind of proposition?" I take a step back. I don't think I can handle too much more of these sexy, alpha Hayes men.
Picking up on my hesitation, Teagen laughs at my innuendo. "Not that kind of proposition, silly."
The guys relax their shoulders, obviously liking Teagen's answer.
"Eesh, you really are wound tight. You really need to get laid."
And just like that, Teagan's brothers are growling again. I feel my face flush in embarrassment, remembering the last time I got laid. Eighteen months, three days, two hours, and forty-three minutes ago, but who's counting? And I want to cry because I'm the only one who remembers the most amazing night of my life. Hell, they don't even know it was me they had sex with.
I hate to guess how many puck bunnies they have had since that night. My heart aches at the thought of being just one of many on their long list of conquests. I shake my head, trying to erase those thoughts.
It's foolish of me to think they were looking for me when they are obviously here to congratulate their sister on shooting the winning shot that won the team its National Championship.
Pasting a smile on my face, I loop my arm through Teagan's.
"Goodbye, Torin, Tarek, and Talen. I'll see you around." I lift my chin, letting Teagan lead me away from my fantasy lovers. I am thankful for the distraction, but I'm not sure my heart can handle watching them each pick up a woman for the night.
"Oh, you'll be seeing a lot more of us, Brittany." I freeze mid-step at Torin's words, causing Teagen to stumble a little before catching herself. Torin is the only one who calls me by my full name; everyone else shortens it to Britt. I was so caught off guard when I ran into his legs that it hardly registered when he used it the first time.
I turn around to look at Torin, Talen, and Tarek. My mind must be playing tricks on me because, by the gleam in their eyes, I'm afraid they might have figured out my secret identity.
I steel my heart against the fantasy I have of them finding out it was me they all had sex with that night, and instead of being disgusted that I would sleep with all of them on the same night, they would take me in their arms and bed and love me all night long. Letting me live out the fantasy of being owned by all three of them at the same time.
Maybe Kelsey is right. Maybe I am a freak in the sheets. But the only ones I want to get freaky with are my best friend"s brothers, and as far as I can tell, they still consider me a punky little kid who always tags along to all their hockey games.
If only I would have had the nerve to show them my face the night of their parent's Halloween party.
