Chapter 12

TYRONE

12

Coming home and finding our newest pet sitting in my bed had stirred something odd in me. She'd watched me the way a cat would watch a dog, uneasy, but ready to lash out if needed.

She certainly was a fascinating little thing, and I'd done some digging on her, finding she was nothing like the typical women Cristian found.

She had wit and fire, along with a slew of drama and trauma nipping at her heels. She'd seen a few therapists, and I'd contemplated getting my hands on those files, but decided against it. I still needed to see how she was, just how much spark burned in her.

I still couldn't get over the fact she'd whacked Julian with the hair dryer and bitten him. Thinking back on it had made me smirk while I'd been busy with some business dealings.

A quick call on the way home, and Julian had revealed to me how he'd had some fun with her, along with Cristian. He'd tested her, seeing just how obedient his new plaything was as he had his way with her.

Julian had stated she was strong, the only tears she'd shed had been because she'd been gagging and choking on cock.

My own dick had twinged at the thought of her pretty little mouth around mine, those plump red lips working down my shaft as those piercing blue eyes threatened to see right into my soul.

There was a haunted look to them when I'd arrived home and given her the food I'd picked up for us all. I'd even made sure to get her soup after seeing the damage Cristian had caused. Swallowing wouldn't be easy, so finding out she'd been forced to give them head had me fascinated.

Even as I'd stood by the desk, I'd seen her stick her chin out defiantly in the reflection as she'd asked where we were going.

She had a backbone, and she wasn't about to let my brothers break her.

Not yet.

"How's the kitten?" Cristian mused as he helped himself to the seafood mix I'd gotten us from one of the many high-end restaurants we owned.

"Seems fine." I glanced at my phone, glossing over the text from one of my men about yet another issue with a rival family.

They just couldn't stay in their lane, and I was getting sick and tired of reminding them of their place. It was time to start dropping bodies if I was to get my point across.

"Her head game is strong," Julian commented. "Should give her a whirl."

I grunted my reply, not entertaining the thought.

"We're going back to the apartment. I don't like that she's got her friends here," I stated as I took a swig of the whiskey I'd poured myself. Today had been a long one, and I'd had to cut a man's life short for doing me wrong. I usually let my men handle the messy stuff, but sometimes, you just had to do it yourself to drive the message home. Besides, it was one way to let off steam, especially after the mess Cristian had brought upon us with this little Scarlet woman.

"Works for me, Kenny will be missing me," Julian spoke up from where he was stuffing his face. "He hates when he's left alone with Imelda cleaning the place."

"How do you know how he feels about Imelda?" Cristian scoffed.

"Because I know him well," Julian retorted, and I sipped my whiskey, not bothering to get involved. I wanted away from Taboo Kisses and this mess with Cristian. I had my men keeping an eye on Naomi and Raymond, who was in recovery and would be released tomorrow after his surgery. I'd offered him a nice payment to continue working for us and to keep his mouth shut. Along with threats on his siblings. If money didn't talk, threats did.

"You chose an interesting one, Cristian," I noted, my mind still whirring over the files I'd gotten of Scarlet Zimmer.

A part of me wanted nothing to do with her, knowing she was bad news in more ways than one, especially if Cristian was interested in her.

But the other, the other wanted to do dark things to her, to bend her to my will, make her beg, to see just how hot that fire burned in her.

"I know. She's got fight. I like it." He smirked as he continued eating. "Did you do some checks?"

"Yes, she's got a history, petty stuff, definitely not a woman who will lie down and take shit," I noted, the corner of my mouth quirking. Was she scheming on how to get back at my brothers for their violations? Was she ready to take on that firepower?

"The bitch burned down a bar, I think that says enough about her craziness." Julian barked out a laugh.

"The crazy ones are the best fucks." Cristian raised his own glass of vodka before tossing it back.

Julian just shook his head, and I glanced back down the hall.

Maybe she would be a good lay. Perhaps I'd consider blowing off some steam in a different way when the time came.

Maybe.
