Hailey

The next morning, I squeezed my thighs, pressing them together as I recalled the pleasure from the night before. Christian woke me twice in the middle of the night to make love to me.

I thought I'd be more upset about not getting enough rest. I was a grump when I was tired. Instead, I grinned widely as I watched him sleep.

My feelings had snuck up on me. He'd always intrigued me and I respected how seriously he took his job—very much so, since his job was to protect me.

But these feelings bubbled inside of me, deep inside my belly, in my core, and in my heart. I never expected them. Especially not when I'd had a boyfriend and never felt anything like this before.

His symmetrical features were broad, and a slight beard formed along his jaw. His chest rose and fell, and I itched to lick one of his flat nipples. I groaned, thinking of how he made me come just from doing that to me. I'd heard of that before, but in the past, I'd had a hard time coming from manual stimulation. Never thought I would come without someone touching my clit at all.

A smile touched his lips as though he could read my thoughts and was proud of himself. I laid my head on his chest and closed my eyes.

Christian gathered me in his arms. A few minutes later, my phone rang.

It was Sam. "Hello?" My voice was a little groggy.

"Hailey, hey, it's me. Listen, I've got a plan."

I sat up in bed. "Okay. I'm listening."

"We give them a secret concert. It'll be private, exclusive, and everyone will want to be there."

I rubbed my eyes. "I'm not following."

"If we want people to talk about something other than your cheating on Trey, we have to give them something big. And an impromptu secret concert will do that as well as show off your vocals. It's a win-win."

I could hear Sam gloating over the phone. And I was willing to do whatever it took to get my music back on track.

"All right. I'll do it. Just tell me when and where."

"Tonight. At the Cobra Club. Ten o'clock."

"Tonight? What's the rush?"

"Hailey, if I could have booked it this afternoon, I would've. The sooner we put this fire out, the better. You just have to perform ten songs or so. Nothing more than an hour, and then you're off."

I nodded. "Okay. I'll be ready."

I hung up the phone and turned to see Christian with his arms crossed over his chest. "What was that about?"

I exhaled and pushed my hair off my forehead. "That was Sam. She's organizing a private concert tonight at the Cobra Club. I've got twelve hours to prepare."

He chewed on his bottom lip, and I wanted to run my tongue over it. "Twelve hours. That's not a lot of time."

I slouched down into the bed. "I know. And I hate doing intimate shows like this. I mean, I love singing my songs and sharing them with an audience, but I get so nervous when the audience is that close to me."

He nodded. "Yeah, me, too."

He looked pensive, rubbing his bottom lip. I furrowed my brow. "What do you mean by ‘me, too'?"

"Hailey, twelve hours isn't a lot of time for me to scope out the place, speak to the manager, run background checks on all the staff. Plus, I'd like to get my hands on a guest list sooner rather than later." He shot out of bed in all of his nakedness and pulled on his jeans commando style.

I held my breath when he zipped up his fly past his scrotum. He must have done that before not to have flinched.

I stretched in bed, bemoaning my loss of morning sex. "I thought we would have, you know…" I smiled.

He grinned back at me and kissed me on the lips. "We will. After your concert tonight." He sealed his promise with another kiss.

I smiled. That was something to look forward to.

We spent the rest of the day preparing for the show. I rehearsed, and he planned. Several times, I overheard Christian on the phone speaking to the owners of the club, the security staff, and even his partners back in New York.

At one point, while I was practicing one of my slow songs from my last album in the living room, he looked up from his laptop and smiled. "Damn. I love listening to your voice."

I smiled and felt a blush rush up my cheeks. "Thank you." I couldn't say why his compliment affected me so much.

He then placed a call, barking orders to some poor security guard on the other end of the line.

When the sun went down, I packed up my guitar and followed Christian to the garage. He loaded the car, and I sipped hot tea with honey.

We arrived at the venue at seven-thirty. There was no line-up outside. Christian had warned the manager that it would only stir up curiosity and ultimately give away our location.

He then turned to Ingrid, who had just arrived with Sam a few minutes ago. "And you," he said, pointing a finger at the jittery social media manager. "No live footage tonight. You got that? If anyone finds out where we are, I'm pulling Hailey off that stage."

Sam put a hand on Christian's arm. "We got it, tough guy. Now relax. Everything is going to be fine."

I smirked at Christian when he narrowed his eyes at Sam. I didn't think he appreciated the nickname, but he kept his cool, anyway. I kissed him on the cheek. "Thanks for having my back. I appreciate it." Even if Sam didn't.

Sam pulled me away. "None of that, now. Let's not forget we're all here because you couldn't keep your hands off of your bodyguard. I can't do damage control if you're going to keep inflicting more damage. Now, hands off."

My lips twitched. Without wanting to, Sam created this forbidden romance between us, which only made me want to throw myself at Christian more.

"Meet me in the dressing room in five minutes," I whispered in his ear. Sam snapped her eyes at me and I immediately lifted my hands off of Christian's arm. "I'm not touching him."

She pointed to her eyes and mouthed, "I'm watching you."

I held back a giggle.

Oh, I couldn't remember the last time I'd had this much fun before a show.

I made the mistake of peeking behind the black curtain as people flocked to their seats. There were several round tables and chairs, as well as room to stand at the back. I would estimate the space could hold around two hundred people.

My hands trembled, thinking back to the Harriet King Show. The last time I performed, it didn't go too well. But this was live, and I felt more comfortable with my voice rather than relying on some machine.

Christian sighed next to me. His face looked gloomier than mine. I smirked. "With that face, I'd think you were the one performing in twenty minutes instead of me."

He shook his head. "I'm just watching to make sure everything runs smoothly. Everything and everyone is in place. I'm just looking for any last-minute details. I'm pleased that the metal detector wands I ordered for the security guards came in on time."

"Metal detectors? How did you accomplish that so quickly?"

"With connections and lots of money."

I looked at his clothes more closely. His suit was perfectly tailored, and the buttons were embossed with a ‘V'. I wasn't sure which designer did that, but the stitching was impeccable. "I didn't realize I was paying you so well."

"You're not," he smirked while staring at the crowd with his arms crossed.

Five minutes had passed since I'd told Christian to meet me in my dressing room and I would only get more nervous staring at the crowd before I had to perform.

My stomach was in knots and my chest felt tight. I needed a release. I grinned at Christian and arched my brow when he looked down at me. He smiled, remembering my earlier suggestion.

Touching his arm, I stepped past him. He didn't follow me right away, but a few minutes after I shut the dressing room door, Christian walked in.

He loosened his black tie and unbuttoned the top button of his collar. I wet my lips, anticipating what was to come.

"Are you sure about this, right before your concert?" he asked.

"Yes. I need to focus on something other than that crowd. And after last night, I felt like I could conquer anything."

"Right now, Hailey, I want you to give me everything you've got. Don't hold back."

"I won't," I breathed when he pressed me up against the wall. He lifted me by the waist and I wrapped my legs around him. I wore a short sundress, and he easily moved my panties aside. Unzipping his pants, he left his belt on.

His lips pressed against my neck and he softly pressed his teeth against my artery. The pressure sent tingles all over my body and straight to my core. I never knew I had a pleasure point there, and he discovered it on our first night.

I closed my eyes as the sensation ran through my veins, heightening my sensitivity in all the right places. The excitement and nervous energy of the crowd waiting for me outside and knowing that anyone could walk in on us gave me a rush that had me moaning loudly in his ear.

"You drive me fucking crazy, Hailey. The sounds you make destroy all of my self-control."

With that, he pushed himself inside of me and I gasped as he filled me tightly. There was no wiggle room. His cock engulfed me completely.

He rocked inside of me, and each thrust hit my clit like a slap. "Yes," I breathed as sensations rippled through me. Wave after wave lapped over my pussy and my legs shook at his waist. "I'm almost there."

The door opened, and Sam's voice reached my ears. "Haily, do you—Oh my god."

"Don't stop," I whispered in Christian's ear and pulled him closer to me, afraid he would let go. "Please."

A door slammed behind him and he pumped harder and faster.

My pussy convulsed, and I screamed his name while a violent orgasm ripped through my body. Who knew that I liked getting caught?

I smiled.

Christian pressed up hard against me one last time and groaned into my neck. His body spasmed over and over again, and I knew he had liked Sam walking in on us just as much as I did.

This was getting better and better.

Sam slammed her fist against the door. "Five minutes to show time, Hailey. Don't make me come in there again."

Christian grinned. "If she only knew how much that just turned both of us on, she'd never have said it."

I giggled into his chest, and he squeezed me tightly. Exhaling, he kissed the top of my head. "I'll give you a few minutes to clean up and make sure everything is set before you get on stage."

"Thank you."

"Did it work? Do you feel better?"

I waggled my eyebrows. "Oh, yeah. I feel like a rock star."

He laughed and shook his head. "There's no question about it."

I walked over to the bathroom and cleaned myself up. Staring at the mirror, I smiled at my flushed cheeks and bright eyes. "You're a fucking rock star."

I pushed off the bathroom sink and opened the door. "All right. Let's do this."

"Okay," shouted Sam. "You heard the woman. Everyone, get ready. The show is about to start."

I walked past Frankie, who patted me on the back. I still hadn't scolded him about the Trey setup, but it would have to wait.

Adrenaline pumped in my veins and I bounced on my feet just as the MC announced my name. "Give it up for… Hailey!"
