Chapter 38

Ruby
" W ake up, babe," said Davy. I blinked, opening my eyes. I was disoriented at first since the steady whir of the helicopter blades had stopped.
I sat up with a gasp as I took in the view outside the window - a vast expanse of sparkling turquoise ocean stretched out before us, lapping against white sand shores. Palm trees swayed in the tropical breeze.
It was breathtaking, and it was someplace I'd never seen before.
"Where are we?" I asked in shock as Davy helped me unbuckle my seatbelt. His hands brushed my breasts twice, and I couldn't help the tingling that occurred in my center. My legs felt shaky as I stood, the aftereffects of the long flight.
Davy smiled, his eyes bright with excitement. "You'll see. Come on."
I followed him to the open helicopter door, my heart pounding. Wayne was waiting at the bottom of the steps, his black hair whipping in the wind from the slowing blades.
He reached up a hand to help me down. As my feet hit the ground, Wayne pulled me close, his woodsy alpha scent enveloping me. "Welcome to Howl's Edge Island, Ruby. The ancestral home of our people."
I gaped at him. "Howl's Edge? But I thought it was forbidden for anyone to come here."
"That's what you're told to believe by Henry."
My fathers had told me stories of the island where the first wolf shifters originated. But no one had set foot here for generations. It was off-limits, a place cloaked in secrets and mystery.
"What do you mean?" I asked, surprised.
Wayne opened his mouth to reply but suddenly stiffened, his gaze snapping to something behind me. I turned to see five imposing figures in black and purple uniforms marching towards us, their expressions stern.
"W-who are they?" I whispered, instinctively pressing closer to Wayne. I'd never seen wolves like them before. They towered over my muscular alphas, their shoulders impossibly broad.
"Delta wolves," Wayne murmured. "They're usually officers or guards here."
As they surrounded us, one barked out, "I am Captain Reese of the Howl's Edge Guard. Identify yourselves and your business here."
Wayne stepped forward, squaring his shoulders.
"I am Wayne, alpha of the Crawford Pack. This is my mate Ruby and packmate Davy. The rest of my men are still on the helicopter. We seek asylum to keep our omega safe."
"Asylum?" Reese narrowed his eyes. "Are you not former associates of the wanted criminal Henry Bloodthorne? By our laws, you share his guilt. And by the law, you should be punished."
I gasped. Henry, a criminal? Why haven't I known this fact about him?
"We were misled by Henry. His crimes are not ours," Wayne growled. "We've never taken an omega against her will."
Captain Reese turned his piercing gaze on me, and I cringed. "Is this true, omega? Have these alphas mistreated you? "
"N-no, never!" I stammered out. "We just got married. Please, I love them. Don't punish them."
To my surprise, the captain's stern face softened. He touched my arm gently. "Don't be alarmed. If your love is true, we will not ruin your union. Here, omegas are treasured, not degraded as Henry did."
"Thank you," I breathed out. He nodded and waved us forward.
As we stepped into the heart of the island, my senses were overwhelmed by the amount of scents and sights. Omegas and alphas walked side by side. Wolves of all kinds browsed the vibrant market stalls, some with scents I couldn't even identify.
The architecture was a stunning mix of sleek, modern buildings and crumbling ruins on the other side. Holographic billboards flickered next to moss-covered stone arches. It was like stepping into a futuristic fantasy world.
"This is crazy," I said out loud, admiring everything. "Why did you bring me here?"
"You'll be safe here one hundred percent," Wayne explained as we walked. "Henry and his family are forbidden to return, or they'll be executed."
"Executed?! Is that a thing here?"
He turned to me, his dark eyes intense. "Yes, darling. So how would you feel about making a life here, with us?"
"What?" I asked, totally confused. It was one thing to bring me here for the first time and another to ask me to live here.
"For the safety of Ella."
"But my family…" I said, hesitating.
"Your family will join us tomorrow. Ella too," said Wayne, taking my hands in his. "But once they're here, we can never go back. It's the only way to keep you safe from Marrok and his family. "
"Let me think about it," I said softly, and he kissed my hands with a smile.
"Alright then."
I swallowed hard, the weight of this decision hitting me. But suddenly, I was distracted by a snack Jasper had bought.
"I want a bite," I moaned, my stomach rumbling.
"Aw, our wife is hungry," said Jasper, handing me something that looked like a cake. I took a tentative bite and moaned as the flavors burst on my tongue like fireworks.
"Mmm, wow…"
The alphas chuckled at my reaction, but my mind was still reeling. Could I really leave the ranch, my whole life, behind forever? Then I remembered the hard, cold malice in Marrok's eyes and shuddered. If this was the price for my baby's safety, then so be it.
But I didn't want to tell him yet, just in case I changed my mind later.
"The beach is beautiful," I whispered as we strolled along the shore, the sun painting the waves in shades of gold and rose.
"Not as breathtaking as you," Jasper said, wrapping an arm around my waist. "I still can't believe we're married now, and I can't wait to knot you properly. Now that you're my wife."
Heat rushed to my cheeks as the others made low sounds of agreement, their gazes roving hungrily over my body. My core clenched in anticipation of our wedding night. I was ready to bond myself to my alphas in every way possible.
Suddenly, Wayne pointed to a magnificent beach house in the distance. "There. That's where we'll be staying for the honeymoon."
I gasped as we approached, taking in the modern lines and huge glass windows that reflected the fiery sunset. "It's huge!"
"Only the best for our omega," Rufus rumbled, carrying my luggage into the house. I stepped into the house, the cool air immediately hitting my skin. Compared to the heat outside, it was a relief in here .
Davy was rummaging in the kitchen. "Nice, this fridge is stocked."
As I admired the open, airy space, Wayne pulled me into his arms without warning, crashing his mouth against mine. I melted against him, feeling horny as hell, but I wanted tonight to be more romantic.
"I can't wait any longer," Wayne rasped, nipping at my bottom lip. "I need you now, Ruby. Right here."
"Then take me into the bedroom," I said shyly, and he didn't hesitate to pick me up in his arms. He sprinted up the stairs with alpha speed as my head bounced on his muscular chest.
"This is the bedroom, I believe," said Wayne, kicking open the door to a beautiful master suite. My jaw dropped at how gorgeous it looked inside.
The room's colors were white and silver, with a plush gray rug and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the ocean.
But what immediately drew my eye was the massive bed.
It was an intricately carved four-poster king, piled high with silk pillows and a fluffy white duvet that I yearned to sink into. I've never seen a bed this big. This bed was huge and could comfortably fit my entire pack.
Sheer curtains hung from the posts, giving it an ethereal, romantic air. I already pictured myself spread out on that soft bedspread, lost in ecstasy as my husbands claimed me one by one.
My core flooded with arousal at the intimate thought, my body aching for their possession. Glancing back at Wayne, seeing his eyes darken with lust, I knew our mating would be explosive.
The heavy door to the master bedroom closed behind us with a soft click, and I looked over my shoulder at Wayne. His eyes were dark as night, devouring me in a way that sent shivers down my spine. My heart raced with anticipation, and I knew this night would be unforgettable.
"Ruby," Wayne murmured, his voice low and husky as he stepped closer. He began unbuttoning my wedding dress, the buttons constantly slipping between his large fingers.
Before he could finish, Jasper barged into the room, a fierce possessiveness flashing in his eyes.
"She's my wife too," he growled. I smiled, enjoying how much they wanted me and how they fought for my attention. It made me feel powerful and desired in a way I'd never experienced before.
"Then come here and kiss your wife," said Wayne in reply. "I'm not stopping anyone, but I'll be knotting our bride first."
Jasper didn't hesitate, closing the distance between us and capturing my lips in a searing kiss. His taste was intoxicating, igniting a heat within me that threatened to consume me if I didn't get a knot soon.
I felt my pussy throb with need, slickness drenching my thighs.
Wayne finished unzipping my wedding dress, and it fell to the ground, leaving me exposed to the two alphas.
Davy and Rufus entered the room next, their eyes raking over my body with hunger. They knelt before me, carefully unstrapping my white heels, their big hands warm against my skin.
My thighs trembled with anticipation when Rufus kissed my legs.
"Is she ready for me?" growled Wayne, kissing my neck.
My pussy clenched when Davy spread my legs while I was standing between the four alphas. Rufus poked his head in between my legs to check.
"She's dripping, sir."
"Are you ready, Ruby?" Davy asked me with darkened eyes.
"More than ready," I whispered, my voice thick with arousal as slick drenched my thighs. "I want to be knotted by all of you."
