Chapter 12

12

Ruby

L ater, around six p.m., Davy's knot released me, and guilt took over me. Even though the hotel bed was soft as a cloud beneath me, I slowly got up despite some cramping so I could look for Jasper.

I didn't like it when Jasper was mad, and I really needed to fix things between us. The room smelled like the alphas' various scents, and it was so intoxicating I wanted to crawl back under the covers to be snuggled by them.

Wayne watched me with concern, his pine forest scent filling the room. "Where are you going, Ruby?"

"Checking on Jasper," I replied, pulling myself away from Davy's warmth. I had a few minutes before the full onslaught from my heat would arrive. Plus, it was easier to think clearly when I wasn't in so much pain.

"Would you like us to come with you?" asked Rufus.

"No, that would make him madder," I said, struggling to put on the bathrobe. "I need to do this alone, please."

"Alright, if you're not back in ten minutes, we'll come look for you," warned Wayne, looking worried as I walked to the door with my slippers on .

"Okay," I said, then turned back. "Thank you for taking the time to help me through my heat."

"Of course, sweetheart," said Wayne. "As alphas, it's our duty."

I nodded, biting my lip.

As I walked down the long corridors, I felt self-conscious wearing just a bathrobe in such an expensive hotel. The lobby reeked of cologne as the human men and women lounged on the couches. The lobby gleamed with polished marble and gold accents.

Jasper was sitting by himself, drinking a soda. His scent reached me from afar, bringing back memories of being with him. I wanted to cry, but I needed to pull myself together.

He didn't look at me as I approached him. I really hoped he didn't hate me.

Taking a deep breath, I sat down next to him, trying to muster up the courage to talk. Jasper still didn't turn his head to look at me, and frustration started to rise within me.

"You don't have a right to be mad," I said in a low voice because the lobby was full of people. I was getting odd stares already for my state of clothes, but I didn't care. He didn't say anything in response and instead took a long sip of his drink. "An omega needs a pack."

He finally turned his head to look at me.

"Do you really believe that? I was taking care of you just fine."

"I do believe that," I snapped, having enough of his arrogance as I got up. Why wasn't he acknowledging that he left without telling me?

Rushing towards the elevator, I felt my bathrobe swishing around my legs from my fury. I had made an ass of myself walking down here half-naked, and Jasper didn't have the decency to talk to me like a normal person.

"Wait," he said, stepping into the elevator with me.

"No," I said, trying to side-step him and leave. But he had already pressed the button to make the elevator doors close .

"Ruby," he sighed, stopping me from pressing the number on the pad. "Listen, you ran away with me, and I never expected to see you wrapped up in other alphas' cocks."

"What the hell, Jasper?" I spat, the pain from my heat rising again. "You have no idea what it's like to be in heat, and I don't need an alpha to tell me what to do."

"But I'm your alpha."

"When did I ever agree to that?"

"Since the moment you agreed to run away with me," he countered, finally pressing the number seventeen on the elevator pad when he saw me clutching my stomach.

"Well, I'm not anyone's omega," I said. "You were the one who left me when I woke up after several hours of sleeping and being in heat. I expected you to be there."

"And I'm sorry about that," he said. "But that doesn't give you an excuse to let another alpha fuck you in the middle of the street."

"Save it, Jasper," I said, crossing my arms over my chest. The elevator hummed as it carried us upward, the tension between us palpable. My heart pounded in my chest, torn between the desire for him and the anger I felt.

The elevator's metallic walls seemed to close in on me. My fists clenched at my sides, my nails biting into my palms as I contemplated what to do. I didn't want Jasper to be in the room while the other alphas knotted me.

But my inner omega wanted him, too.

"Tell me, Jasper," I said, my voice trembling. "Why did you leave?"

He smirked bitterly. "It was just to get ice for you. But what does it matter now? You moved on pretty damn quickly."

My heart ached at his words, but I refused to let him see my pain.

"You have no idea what it's like to be an omega in heat, Jasper," I sighed. "I needed an alpha, and you weren't there."

His jaw clenched, and his blue eyes were icy cold .

"And whose fault is that?" he growled. "You could've waited for me, but instead, you chose to forget about me the moment I left."

"Jasper, you don't understand," I pleaded, desperation creeping into my voice. "I didn't plan any of this. You left, and I thought I was going to die. I was in a state of delirium."

"But are you in that state now?" he spat, his anger flaring up once more. "Because you're an omega, and you can't control yourself. Is that what you want me to believe?"

"Damn you," I shouted, my frustration finally boiling over. I couldn't keep my cool anymore. "An omega's heat is not something you can just turn off. You'll never understand."

The elevator chimed, signaling our arrival on the seventeenth floor. The doors slid open, revealing an elderly couple waiting outside. Their eyes widened as they took in my tear-streaked face and Jasper's tense posture. I forced a weak smile, trying to ignore their stares as we exited the elevator.

"Excuse us," I mumbled, walking around them. Jasper and I walked side by side down the hallway, the silence between us thick and heavy. My bare feet sunk into the plush carpeting, which felt both comforting and suffocating.

"Maybe you're right," he said through gritted teeth. "Maybe I'll never understand. But you need to know that I didn't abandon you, even if you make it sound that way."

The tears welled up in my eyes, spilling hot and fast down my cheeks.

I hated it when he was mad at me, especially during my heat. But I refused to let him see how much it affected me, so I wiped my tears away with the back of my hand, refusing to meet his gaze.

"Stop crying," he muttered, but there was a tenderness beneath the gruff words that I couldn't ignore. It only made the tears flow faster, my heart aching with the conflicting emotions swirling inside me. "I'll let it go for now, but don't throw your life away over some alphas who look good to you. You're smarter than this. "

"It's not because they look good," I whispered between sobs. "I'm scared of that pain. I don't want to feel that again."

"Fine," he said. "But I'm going to keep an eye on you."

"Why? If you're not going to participate and knot me, why are you going in with me?" I blurted out, wiping my tears roughly from my frustration. "I'm done arguing with you, Jasper. I just...I need some space."

Jasper scoffed, his tone cold and bitter. "Oh, is that what you want now? More space?"

" Moons, that's not what I meant!" I snapped, growing increasingly agitated. "You know damn well that I care about you. But maybe it's true - maybe you really don't understand what it's like for an omega in heat. Maybe you never will."

"Ruby, I didn't mean..." he began, but I cut him off, my voice rising in pitch.

"No! You don't get to decide what's best for me or who I choose to be with. That's up to me. And right now, I need to figure that out for myself."

I bit my lip, trying to hold back the fresh tears threatening to spill over. Jasper didn't say anything, standing silently as he watched me.

I stormed into the room, my face burning with a mix of anger and humiliation.

"Ruby, are you okay?" Davy asked, his calm voice breaking through my thoughts. He stood by the bed, concern etched across his face.

"I'm fine," I snapped, more harshly than I intended to. "Just...fine."

Wayne smirked from his spot on the chair, taking in the scene with a knowing glint in his eye.

"Well, darlin', if you're looking for a way to work off that frustration, we'd be more than happy to help," he drawled, his gaze lingering on my body.

"Good," I said, my voice trembling as I met Wayne's challenging stare. Slick seeped uncontrollably from my heated center, and the pain was throbbing between my legs. "I'm more than ready."

"Are you sure?" Davy asked gently, his hesitant tone betraying his uncertainty. But I couldn't afford doubt right now- not when I needed to prove a point. I knew Jasper was behind me at the door since he had closed it behind us.

"Absolutely," I replied impatiently.

I shed my bathrobe, leaving it in a heap on the floor, and moved towards the bed. The pack leader, tall and muscular with piercing eyes, pulled me over him until we were both lying on the bed. As I straddled him, feeling the heat of his body beneath mine, I reached out and grabbed Davy and Rufus's cocks ready on either side, both already hard and eager.

"Ruby, you're upset right now," Davy whispered, his eyes wide with concern.

"Shut up and fuck me," I cried out, my body aching with need. I stroked both Davy and Rufus's cocks as I slid over Wayne's dick.

"That's my girl," growled Wayne, his eyes burning onto mine. I didn't look back at Jasper as I felt Wayne's cock stretching my pussy deliciously.

I wanted to be fully absorbed in the moment and to forget everything. I gripped both alphas' cocks for balance while Wayne bounced me over his thick cock. The room was filled with the sounds of my moans and the alphas' grunts as we all worked ourselves to the edge.

I held onto Davy and Rufus's cocks tightly as I rode Wayne, sliding my hands up and down their shafts in rhythm with Wayne's powerful thrusts. Their precum made my palms slick and sticky as I pleasured them.

Wayne held my hips firmly, bouncing me on his massive length. The combined sensations were overwhelming, my slick dripping down my thighs.

"So close," Davy grunted through gritted teeth. Moments later, his cock pulsed in my hand as streams of warm seed spilled over my fingers and onto my breasts.

Rufus followed soon after with a deep groan,

"Fuck, Ruby!" Rufus groaned, his orgasm hitting him hard as he spilled his seed onto my trembling body. His release mixed with Davy's over my breasts and stomach. The alphas' musk enveloped me, the evidence of their desire for me heightening my arousal even more.

I heard a sharp intake of breath from Jasper, and I turned my head to see him glaring at the two alphas but also gripping himself.

Wayne increased his pace, his fingers digging into my flesh.

"Come for me, little omega," Wayne commanded.

His words pushed me over the edge, my pussy walls clamping down on his cock as euphoria crashed through me. With a few more powerful thrusts, Wayne found his release, filling me up with his hot seed as he roared.

Gasping for air, I collapsed onto his chest, our hearts pounding as one. My eyes met Jasper's, who watched us with a mix of longing and resentment.

"You're mine," Wayne growled, his voice gravelly with lust.

"I'm my own," I panted, still catching my breath and noticing Jasper's slight smile. "I'm not anyone's."
