" O h god," I moaned when Wayne's big hands lifted my weakened body up and down onto his cock. This all felt like a crazy dream that I was losing control of. Guilt and shame overwhelmed me, but the pain was too much to bear.

"You're safe now," he murmured into the side of my ear, caressing my lower back. He buried his fingers into my hair and kissed me tenderly, comforting me until I calmed down. "We should get moving. I'll carry you to the car."

At the sound of my voice, Ruby looked around, seeing me there, and a look of shock crossed her face.

"Jasper?" she said.

"Get him the fuck out of here," said the alpha, who my omega was straddling.

"She's mine," I said, trying to catch my breath from how fast I got here. "Ruby's mine!"

This was the last thing I wanted to happen. The guilt of mating with an alpha other than Jasper overtook me, mixed with the anger I felt towards Jasper, who left me alone in the hotel room.

"I'm going to take care of this," said Wayne, kissing my forehead as his knot released me.

"Don't hurt him," I said. "He means a lot to me, and he didn't do anything wrong."

"Except leaving you in your most vulnerable state? An alpha should never leave his omega alone during her heat," said Wayne in a stern voice. "But I will try my best not to eviscerate the guy."

"Thank you," I breathed as I scooted off his lap while adjusting the robes to cover myself. Wayne jumped out of the car, and I took a moment to figure out what to do. Jasper was here for me, and this pack saved my life. I was inches from death, and they showed up in time even though they were strangers.

I could hardly breathe as I watched the pack loudly arguing with Jasper, who was trying to get to me. I didn't know how to feel towards Jasper right now, and he seemed righteously angry. Why the hell was he angry when he was the one who left me?

"How dare you leave her all alone?" Wayne growled, his hackles rising in fury as he walked towards Jasper. "Why don't you grow some balls?"

"She's mine," Jasper growled again, fists balled at his sides. They stood face to face, their heights matching as they glared at each other.

I couldn't sit in the car any longer, and I quickly slipped out of the car to stop the unbridled war of testosterone and tension in the air. Even though I was in pain from the lack of a knot inside of me, I had to stop it before they killed each other.

"Stop, you guys!" I cried out, and they both turned to me- seconds from charging at each other. I continued pleading with them. "Please don't fight over me. I don't belong to either of you."

I could feel Jasper's shock rippling through the air at my words .

"How could you say that?" Jasper asked me, and right at that moment, Wayne lifted him and threw him to the ground.

I sagged against the car door, clutching my lower belly.

"Stop, she's still in heat," barked Rufus, and everything was turning blurry again for me. The only thing I wanted was a knot, regardless of their fighting.

"I'll take care of her," said Jasper.

"Like hell you are," said Wayne.

"How about we ask her ourselves?"

"Fine, go ahead. I'm pretty sure she'll refuse your sorry bitch ass. Especially for abandoning her in the middle of fucking nowhere," Wayne barked at him.

"Fine," he said, and I swallowed hard. He stood up over me. " Go with your pack then, but I'll be with you the entire time to make sure they don't take advantage of you."

"The fuck you're not," growled Wayne.

"It's okay," I said, my voice higher-pitched from the pain. Tears from my pain started to roll down again, and Rufus immediately scooped me up in his arms and carried me into the car.

"I'll book a hotel right now," said Wayne as he jumped into the passenger side while Davy drove. I was surprised to see that Jasper joined us in the backseat as well, but I didn't say anything.

I knew how hurt he was, even if he didn't say it. I wouldn't put myself in that situation again without a pack.

I never thought being in heat would be a life-or-death situation. It was serious, and I needed a pack to help me get through this, even though it was going to change things forever between me and Jasper forever.
