Chapter 8 - Elena

In her dreams, Elena's confrontation with Hanson didn't end with his punching the tree trunk just shy of her head. In fact, in her dreams, it couldn't have ended more differently.

The second she gripped hold of his cock, he groaned low in his throat. She answered the sound with a moan of her own, so desperate for him inside her that she thrust her pelvis forward, widening her legs further.

"Please… I need you," she whimpered, wrapping her free hand around the back of his neck to pull him closer. She kissed him hard. "I need you more than I have needed anything in my life."

Just as aggressive as he had been before, he gripped her by the throat, forcing her face up to his.

"Is this what you want?" he growled, biting her lip even as he took his cock from her grip and into his own free hand, stroking the tip over her wet pussy lips.

She quivered, her legs trembling. The only thing holding her up was his body pressed against her.

"Yes," she breathed out, closing her eyes when he kissed her again, hard and passionate. His grip loosened around her throat, but his hand remained there, holding her in place as he slid his rock-hard cock deep inside her.

Nothing had ever felt so good as it felt to take every solid inch of him deep inside her.

He moved deliciously slowly, his hips jerking as if he could barely control himself not to fuck her long and hard to within an inch of their lives. The need and desire that pulsed between them was like nothing she had ever felt before. It was mind blowing.

With every thrust of his hips, she grew closer and closer to orgasm. And just when she thought she might explode, he tightened his grip on her throat once more, kissing her hard until she could barely breathe.

The passion in his kiss, the fierceness in his grip, the pleasure in his groaning, it all sent her reeling over the edge.

Her insides tightened deliciously around his cock, and she screamed against his lips.

"That's a good girl," he growled in her ear before taking her earlobe into his mouth and biting gently. "That's my good girl."

His words caused her to cum over and over and over again until she was utterly spent.

"Please, Hanson, oh, please," she begged him, unsure of what exactly it was that she was pleading with him to do.

But he seemed to know.

"Don't worry, baby," he whispered, his tone guttural, as if he were speaking through gritted teeth. "Just cum for me one more time."

And like a good little she-wolf, she did just that, screaming with excited pleasure when she felt his cock pulsing inside her. Somehow, she knew then what was coming, what she had pleaded for.

"Oh, fuck, Elena!" he growled low in his throat as her body tightened almost painfully around his cock and his seed spilled deep inside her like a warm, wet fountain of ecstasy.

At almost the same instant, she sat bolt upright in bed. The guest room was just lighting with the first rays of dawn through the crack in the drapes. And Elena quivered with frustration, desire, need.

The dream had felt all too real. Her lips tingled as if he had really been kissing her. Hell, the aching, fluttering sensation between her thighs was enough to make her believe he had been right there with her. But glancing around the room, she realized she was alone.

And the second she did, the guilt took over. How could she be dreaming about Hanson like that? What did Jason ever do to deserve this shit? Why couldn't she just find a little peace?

Rolling onto her side, she grabbed her phone off the nightstand to check the time. It was just after six in the morning. The sun was late rising today. Sniffing, she smelled rain on the air.

Great, the day was going to be as miserable as she was.

Unlocking her phone, she did the very thing she knew she shouldn't do after a raunchy, head-spinning dream like that—she opened her gallery and looked for that favorite heartbreaking photo.

She and Jason smiled back at her, nothing more than a memory now, the last time she had truly been happy. And tears pricked the corners of her eyes.

"Fuck," she snarled, wiping the tears away quickly when the pounding of a fist on the door made her jump.

"Who is it?" she called.

The door opened just a crack. "It's me. Can I come in?"

A wave of disappointment washed over Elena. What had she been hoping for, really? Hanson wasn't about to come to her bedroom just like that after all that had happened in the woods.

Fighting guilt and disappointment, Elena said, "Sure," and Eddie slipped into the room, clicking the door closed again behind him.

Though he was her brother and a fellow werewolf, after all she had just dreamt, she felt too aware of how sheer her pajamas were, and so she pulled the bed covers right up to her chest as Eddie set himself down on the edge of the bed.

"I hope I didn't wake you," he said, looking at her almost suspiciously. "Are you alright?"

Elena shook her head. "You didn't wake me, and yes, I'm fine. What's up?"

For a second, he continued to look at her with suspicion in his gaze. His raised eyebrow was more than a little annoying. She would have loved to give it a tug just to stop him looking at her like that.

Instead, she gripped the bedsheets tighter.

"I…I was just curious how much longer you intend to stay," Eddie said, shrugging.

The hair on the back of Elena's neck rose. She barked defensively, "I can leave right now if you need me to."

"Whoa, hey, no!" Eddie protested, reaching out to grab her hand as if he thought she might actually get up and immediately leave. "Why are you being so uptight?"

"I'm not!" Elena protested.

"Defensive, then," Eddie said, watching her closely, clearly trying to read her. She hated it when he did that.

"Ed, I'm a lone she-wolf in a foreign pack's territory. I'm bound to be a little defensive and jumpy."

Eddie cocked his head and looked at her without blinking. "Why is that?"

"Why what?"

Elena gulped. She already knew what he was thinking, what he was about to say.

"Elena, as much as I love having you here, why are you here?" Eddie demanded, squeezing her hand gently. "Why are you alone?"

Elena's insides shriveled up. For only a second, she thought of what it might be like to finally admit the truth. Then she thought of how her brother might look at her. She couldn't stand the look of pity in his eyes. And so, she shook her head.

"I just needed a place to find a little peace for a while," she said, coughing a little when she struggled to clear her throat.

She eased her hand out from beneath his. Nothing could have prepared her for his next question.

"Elena, where is Jason?"

The lump in her throat reformed much harder than before, but it didn't stop her from snarling, "I told you, he's gone, and that's that."

Elena wasn't sure she had ever seen her brother so taken aback. He physically leaned away as if she had slapped him.

They stared at each other for several long, dragging moments, and Elena felt the tears growing behind her eyes again.

Please, don't ask me again, she thought, unable to look away from her brother. She wasn't sure she would be able to stop herself from admitting the truth if he asked again.

But he didn't. Instead, he sighed deeply and shook his head. "You know you are welcome here for as long as you need."

Guilt overwhelmed her again. Why did her brother have to be so easy going? Why couldn't he just force the damn truth out of her so they could get it over with? She had no idea how to put any of it into words.

"Thanks," Elena said, dropping down onto her back. She yawned hard. "Now, do you mind? Not all us wolves are morning people."

She could see the displeasure on her brother's face, but he didn't argue. Instead, he leaned forward and kissed her gently on the forehead. "I don't know why you're here, but I'm glad you are."

Elena's heart ached. She fought the urge to wrap her arms around his neck and squeeze him tight until he hugged the truth out of her. "Me too."

"Go back to sleep," he whispered, rising from his perch on the edge of the bed. "You look like shit."

"Thanks!" Elena scoffed, grabbing one of the extra pillows to throw at him. Then, as he walked over to the door, she rolled onto her other side, putting her back to him. The tears were stronger now, and she didn't want him to see them.

Her ears pricked when she heard silence fall as he stopped in the doorway. His sharp inhale was the only warning she had before he spoke.

"You know, Elena, sooner or later, you are going to have to tell me what the hell happened," Eddie said, and she sensed him lingering.

"I know," she whispered, fighting back the tears, "Just not today."

She grabbed her pillow and clutched it tight to her chest. Burying her face in it, she stifled a sob, not letting the tears fall until her brother was gone from the room. Then they fell like a torrent, untamable.
