13. Ashby
Chapter 13
Ashby
THREE MONTHS LATER
" A ll the scans and x-rays look good," the doctor says, laying out the tools to remove my sunny yellow cast. Storm picked the color for me since I was unconscious when we got to the hospital. He said it reminded him of me. "It will only take a minute for us to remove this, then you can head home."
"Good. We have big plans tonight," Storm says, waggling his brows at the doctor like a perv. The doctor flushes and coughs but remains silent. Storm has come with me to every appointment, and this doctor has helped the family since before we were born, so he is used to Storm's personality.
I elbow Storm with my good arm, and he chuckles, holding my hand tightly. The pain hasn't been an issue for about a week now, but a twinge of anxiety sparks through me when the doctor starts up the small saw and moves it toward me. I grip Storm's hand tighter and squeeze my eyes tightly shut, burying my face against Storm's chest. Instead of pain, I feel slight vibrations and a release of pressure. The second the air hits my skin, it starts to tingle and itch, the muscle feeling tight as I move it back and forth.
"You'll have some minor symptoms for a few days. Dry skin that can be helped with lotion and sore muscles that a warm bath can help as well," the doctor says as he lifts my arm and tests my mobility. "But everything looks good. If you have any issues or pain, just give me a call."
"Will do, doc," Storm says and scoops me off the exam table, leaving the room without a backward glance. I tuck my face into his neck, appreciating his scent and the feeling of being held in his arms.
After escaping my father, it took over a month for me to feel comfortable out of Storm's sight, and even then, I didn't like being away from him for more than an hour at most. I still have nightmares of Drexel, who unfortunately escaped during the chaos. Storm swears they won't stop hunting for him, but I can't help the fear that he will come back for me.
After hearing the news, Atlas broke down so badly that I feared he would do something drastic. He seemed so broken. I asked Vince if it would be okay for Elio to stick close to Atlas for the time being to give him some added protection and to keep an eye out if Drexel reappeared. It helped that Elio seemed to be the only person Atlas allowed close to him. The doctors had to sedate him when he was brought in because he was fighting them. He bit one, punched another and scratched another's arms all up. For nearly two weeks, he was kept under heavy sedation as the worst of his injuries healed. They had a therapist visit him daily, but I'm not sure how much help that actually was.
"Ready to go home, Sunshine?" Storm asks, pulling me from my thoughts.
"Yes please."
STORM
Ashby gasps when I open the door to our apartment and step inside, his body cradled in my arms.
"What's all this?" he asks, taking it all in.
A trail of black rose petals is strewn from the door into the living room. The lights are turned down low, and a fire is burning. I laid snacks and drinks on the coffee table, dragged one of the spare mattresses into the room, and placed it in front of the fire.
"I wanted to celebrate the good news," I say, laying him on the mattress and standing over him.
"But it wasn't a sure thing that the cast would be coming off today. What if it had to stay on for a few more weeks?" he asks, big eyes staring up at me. His tongue flicks out, wetting his lower lip, and his pupils blow when I pull my shirt over my head.
"Then this would have just been a fun date night for us," I reassure him, reaching for my pants.
His chest rises and falls with ragged breaths, eyes tracking my every move. He pulls himself up onto his elbows and reaches for his own shirt. He tugs it off, and with a little help from me, he manages to wiggle out of his shoes, socks and pants. I toss our clothes to the side, instantly forgetting about them, and crawl onto the mattress. I hover him, allowing the tip of my cock to just barely brush along his thigh, and I swallow the whine he lets out. He grips my shoulders, and I shudder when he runs both hands down my chest, tweaking my nipples.
"Fuck I missed having two hands," he pants into my mouth, and I laugh.
"I missed both of your hands, baby," I rasp. "They feel so fucking good on my body."
I settle my weight on top of him, pinning him beneath me. Our cocks slot together, and he bucks wildly, precome slicking us both.
"Please, Storm, I need you." Ashby gasps, and I pull back enough to look into his eyes. "Remind me who I belong to, who owns me and protects me."
My blood roars through my veins, and I growl, biting his neck hard enough to break the skin. I reach blindly to the side, knocking over snacks and bottles of water as I search for the lube. A triumphant shout breaks free when I finally grab it, and Ashby chuckles. The sound has my heart clenching with so much love and need for the perfect man beneath me. Unable to wait any longer, I coat my cock and force two fingers inside him, wetting his hole with the extra lube.
Ashby cries out, his back arching and cock kicking against his belly. He looks so beautiful like this, spread out, flushed, and desperate for something only I can give him. I pump my fingers inside him for only a moment before pulling out and lining myself up.
"Eyes on me, Sunshine. I want to see your face as I take you," I rumble, a sound close to a purr escaping when his eyes meet mine. "That's it, baby. Watch me as I claim you. As I take what's mine. You are mine, aren't you, Sunshine?" He nods, and I bite the other side of his neck, making him cry. "Say it! I want to hear you screaming out who you belong to."
"You!" he shouts. "You, you, you! I'm yours. Only yours. Always yours!"
I slam inside him, giving neither of us a moment to breathe before letting my need take over. My hips slap against his as I take him, my thrusts rough and demanding. I shift slightly and smile when Ashby moans loudly, letting me know I hit his special spot.
"That's right, baby, scream for me. Let the neighbors hear how good I make you feel!"
He moans louder, his nails clawing down my back, marking me. I nip along his neck and down his chest, adding new love bites to the old ones and darkening the ones that have started to fade. Wrapping my fist around Ashby's thick length, I pull back and stare down at him, transfixed. His hips buck as he struggles, unable to decide if he wants to push back on my cock or up into my fist. Frustrated whines bubble past his lips.
"I'm… I'm so close, Storm," he gasps, the flush spreading down his neck and over his chest. His cock leaks a steady stream of precome, and I give him a rough squeeze.
I can see his orgasm building, and just as it's about to crest, I ask, "Will you marry me, Sunshine?"
Ashby screams, cock pulsing as he covers us both in thick strings of come. His body trembles as I continue to pound into him, forcing his orgasm to go on even longer.
"Yes," he says once his body stops shaking, his eyes meeting mine, and I can see the surety there. "Yes, I will marry you, Storm. You're everything to me. I love you so fucking much."
With a roar, I come, flooding his ass. I collapse on top of him, breathing ragged as I come down from the extreme pleasure.
"Good," I pant after a moment, licking over the bites marking his skin. "Because I booked a venue for next weekend, and your mom has been planning for over a month."
"What?" Ashby shrieks, struggling to get out from under me, but I tighten my hold on him. "You planned our wedding without me? What if I said no? What if I wanted to be part of the planning? What if I didn't want a big wedding?"
"I knew you would say yes because you are mine," I say, brushing sweaty strands of hair off his forehead. "And I knew you wouldn't want to be responsible for planning an entire wedding. I told your mom what foods you would like and a color scheme I knew you loved. I also knew you wouldn't want anything big, so she promised to keep it small and only invite close family and friends. It will be a small ceremony with dinner and dancing afterward."
Ashby remains silent, staring up at the ceiling, and I feel nerves start to bubble in my gut.
"We're getting married," he finally says and turns to me, tears in his eyes. "I never thought this day would come."
"Oh, Sunshine, I'm so sorry. I promise to spend the rest of our long, long lives making it up to you," I say, sealing the promise with a kiss to his swollen lips.
