Chapter Twenty
Molly sat in the backseat of Greg's truck, whining the whole way. Brian was pretty sure he'd never get her to like her carrier, but it was necessary while they were driving.
Brian looked out of the window at the fields of corn and cows and tried to ignore Molly as best as he could. Last week it had been about reassuring her for the whole ride and this week he tried not saying anything at all. So far, neither approach worked.
Greg didn't seem bothered by the whining, and if anything, the sounds made him smile.
"You have the right food for her on the farm?"
"Yep. It's the stuff the vet recommended. Bought it right after the appointment."
"In the hopes that I'll let you have a weekend with her?"
"In the hopes that I could have a weekend with both of you." Greg smiled and darted a glance over to him.
It was only a matter of time before he dissolved into a puddle of goo at Greg's feet. He was already halfway there. The sweet way his smile lit up his eyes did it for Brian.
"I'll give you every weekend and all week long." Brian was in trouble. Big trouble. Because what he'd said was so fucking true, nothing he'd said so far was truer.
When Greg parked his truck next to the bunkhouse and shut off the engine, Brian hurried to free Molly, opening his door and getting out. He left the carrier in the back seat but took Molly out of it, rescuing her.
Greg ran around the side of the truck. Brian gave a little squeal when Greg scooped him off his feet. He held Molly to his chest so she wouldn't fall. "Put me down."
"Can't. There's a bug." Greg chuckled the whole time but set him on his feet.
"You are so evil." Brian put Molly down so she could explore the farmyard.
"Brian, honey." Greg grabbed him around the waist and reeled him in like he was a fish. Brian gave him a minor struggle for propriety's sake, but he gave it up quickly when he ran his hands across Greg's T-shirt covered chest. He rubbed around the nipple with the tip of his finger. "You are a menace," Greg said as he put a hand over Brian's.
Brian smiled.
Greg loosened his hold on Brian's hand enough that he could move his fingers.
He chuckled even before he pinched Greg's nipple. It wasn't hard enough to hurt by any stretch, but he knew Greg felt it.
Greg covered his pectoral muscles with both hands, releasing Brian in the process.
Brian laughed and backed away when Greg growled. "It's what you deserve."
Greg stalked him.
Brian ran in the direction of the barn, which was his first mistake. There wasn't a door that locked that Brian was aware of, plus he was practically leading the lion into its den.
Greg grabbed Brian around the waist, upending him. The ground came at him fast, and he thought he would land on his face, but Greg rolled them at the last minute, giving Brian a soft place to fall.
Brian braced himself with his hands on Greg's chest. He breathed hard from the exertion
Greg's smile reached his eyes. But it faded into something Brian recognized from last night. Greg had carried the want around with him. Brian hadn't noticed it before Greg's drunken confession. It had been there, though.
Brian closed the distance between them, pressing his lips to Greg's. He didn't want Greg to guess how Brian felt about him.
Greg deepened the kiss, licking his way into Brian's mouth. He cupped the back of his neck, holding him in place as he took. Each lick created a delicious fire, burning from the inside out.
Their cocks grew hard together, and Brian pressed his into Greg, wanting more. His length pressed against the zipper of his pants almost painfully. His fingers itched to free it and Greg's until they were skin to skin.
"Greg, Daddy says to stop giving everyone a show." Carter's voice was like a bucket of water poured over them.
Brian's heart stopped for a whole beat before it picked a pace that stole his breath. His body jerked, and he instinctively buried his face into the crook of Greg's neck.
"Sorry." Greg held him close.
"They're all staring, aren't they?"
Greg chuckled. "Carter went into the barn."
"Not helpful."
"Get up and take that inside, boy." Leonard's deep, raspy voice didn't help anything.
"Oh, my God. That makes it so much worse." Brian looked up to see Leonard holding Molly under one arm. He carried her into the barn without another word.
"You're telling me? I'm never gonna live this down." Greg moved underneath him, rolling Brian to his side before standing, and then he held out a hand. Brian took it, and Greg hauled him up, threading their fingers together as they made their way to the bunkhouse.
Brian had only been in the building one other time, and that had ended in disaster.
"Can I get you something to drink? Tea, coke, water, milk."
"Tea sounds great." The last time he had been there, Greg had upended the table. All of it had been cleaned up, of course.
Greg handed him a glass of tea and took one for himself.
They took it into the living room and picked out an action movie. Brian set his glass of tea on a coaster on the coffee table and settled against Greg, leaning on him.
Greg slung an arm around his chest and pulled him closer.
About ten minutes into the movie, Isaac walked through the front door. He didn't say a word as he carried his bag down the hall. When he came back into the room, he sat in the reclining chair and watched the movie.
Neil came in smelling like cow shit. Even with his shoes off and outside, he still smelled horrible. He stopped and tapped Greg on the shoulders. "Pause it."
Greg nodded and picked up the remote, hitting the right button. He set the remote down again and then smiled at Brian. "And now we wait for Neil to shower the stink off."
Brian leaned into him. "We could make out."
"Accept I'm in the room, so please don't." Isaac had his eyes closed and didn't bother opening them while he spoke.
Brian shrugged and sat back again. He rubbed his fingers up and down Greg's arm.
Greg chuckled and kissed Brian on his temple. "Leonard and Molly will be in soon." And he didn't want to make out in front of his foster father. Got it.
Brian didn't blame him. If it were his dad, he wouldn't want to either.
It didn't take Neil long to shower. He sat on the free couch cushion next to Brian. The movie started up again, and they were all lost in the action.
