Chapter Six
Kouvr
My eyes opened, and cold air blasted around me. My heart beat loudly in my ear, mainly because of a machine making the “beep, beep” noise. I let out a shaky breath, seeing my own breath.
Where am I?
Shoosh!
I flinched at the noise filling my ear, and a door opened outwards in front of me. I couldn’t tell if it was a door or a window as the whole glass was frosted white from the cold.
The warm air hit my body, sending a shiver down my spine. I stepped forward, but my legs gave out, sending me to the ground.
Clank!
I hit the metal floor, barely catching myself on my hands. My curls spawned out over my face, and all I could see was the metal floor. This wasn’t the carpet of the lobby…
My hand reached up, grabbing a table in front of me. I lifted myself up from the floor, my body feeling a bit weak and my head spinning. A whirling noise caught my attention, and I saw one of my drones with some frost on it.
What was going on?
The table before me had a huge tablet with small rectangles on it. One of them was red and labeled 0094. I reached forward but stopped when I noticed my clothes had been changed. I was in a tight spacesuit marked 0094. Was the rectangle something I just came out of?
Turning around, I saw huge pods lined up against the wall. Mine was open, but the others were not.
I moved to the one next to it, wiping away the frost, and saw Cyrus’s beautiful face. A word popped up on his window that said, “Release?”
“Sure,” I muttered, pressing it.
A similar shooshing noise came, and I stepped back, letting the door open.
His eyes opened, and his body shivered. He stepped out and almost went crashing down.
I reached out, grabbing under his arm and using my weight to ground him.
He grabbed the table behind me, taking some weight off me. “Fuck, sorry. I should have told you it’s a bit disorientating leaving the cryosleep pods.”
Shaking my head, I embraced his warmth. He was in a suit similar to mine; his black while mine was grey. He shivered against me, and I couldn’t help but rub his back a bit. “Makes it more realistic.”
He pulled his head back a bit, looking down at me. His hand reached up, pushing hair behind my ear. Warm flushed throughout my entire body as we locked eyes. “Hi, beautiful,” he whispered.
Apparently, I loved hearing that from their mouths, by the way my body heated up. They didn’t seem scared to say it, even in front of my cameras.
A small smile curled on my lips. “Hello, handsome. Thank you for warming me up.”
“Me? You’re warming me up.” He stood up straight, pulling away from me.
My body instantly missed his warmth. The whirling of my drone brought me back to reality. I barely knew these men, and here I was, cuddling up against one of them. And we were both clearly liking it.
“Let me get the others out,” he said, reaching around me and pressing something on the table.
All at once, the next three pods beeped, and I watched them open. Zelos and Kyree didn’t move, but Theon fell to his knees before I could catch him. He shivered, teeth chattering. “H-Holy fuck.”
I moved him, holding out my hand. “Are you okay?”
He took my hand but didn’t use it to stand. He just held my hand. “Fucking freezing. Couldn’t have given us coats in these machines, Cyrus? Instead of these little ass thin suits?”
“You know that the pods wouldn’t work through thick coats,” Cyrus said back, very matter of fact.
“I like the suits,” I said, turning for the drone that was on us. The suit felt like a second skin, hugging each and every curve on my body. My breasts were pushed up tightly against it, and I knew my butt was just perfectly round. I look down at the tablet still on my arm, seeing my beautiful body in the camera. “Oh yeah. I like this suit on me.”
“Me too,” Kyree said, finally stepping from the pod. He was in a suit too, skintight to his massive, muscular body. Were all these men built and strong? He reached down, and my eyes followed as he fixed the suit on his crotch. Although he had just got out of the icy machine, his hard member was on display.
Facing heating up, I advert my eyes, feeling a smile on my lips. “They’d be better in pink, though.”
“There’s pink ones,” Cyrus said. “You got to find them.”
I gasped, wanting it on my body.
Zelos stepped out of the machine, shivering off the cold he had.
My eyes dropped, unable to stop myself again. The suit clung to his abs and his toned hips. His ass was round and very grabbable while his soft bulge was not small.
His head turned, and I quickly looked away.
Dear God, I need to stop looking down.
My eyes moved around the room. There were a few other pods across from ours with people in them. “Question, are these AIs?” I asked, rounding the table.
“Yes,” Cyrus said. “We could wake them and have them help, but it’s up to you.”
“No. They look peaceful. I doubt they want to deal with what’s coming.” I didn’t even know what was coming, and I honestly just wanted to spend time with the guys alone.
Was that selfish of me? Oops. I returned to the table, seeing my pod was the only red. I had been the only one that woke up on their own. Did this mean something?
Clicking on the pod, it brought up an internal map of the pod and said, “Pod 0094 was disrupted. Damage was made in the bridge.”
I blinked at the map, seeing one of my internal maps was severed. I clicked on it, but it did nothing to show me what happened to the pod or the bridge. “Shall we check out the bridge? See what kind of damage was caused?”
Cyrus nodded, not objecting. I hoped I was playing their game right, but it felt like I had many options. I had the option to have a whole A. I. team or not. If I were playing alone, I’d probably wake up a few to help.
I moved to the only door in the room and reached for the handle.
But another hand grabbed it, opening it for me. It was Theon, a smile on his face. “Ladies, don’t open doors.”
“Thank you.” I smiled, stepping out. The hall was made of metal, but there was nothing in there to show any type of damage. So, this probably wasn’t the “bridge.” I squinted and found a map on the wall further down the hall, making me move to it and examine it.
There were several pod rooms next to the one we just came out of, some bigger than the one we came from. How many people were there, and how many could I wake up? Why were they here? Questions squirmed in my head, fighting to find the answer. Past the rooms on the map, there was an elevator at the end of the hall, and we had to get in it and go up to the bridge.
“Follow me, boys,” I said, moving the way the map told me.
Kyree chuckled.
It sent a shiver down my spine. I turned to look at his handsome face. He is so hot. His smile and even his chuckle made my pussy pulse.
Passing a pod room, I glanced into the small circle window. This room was massive and not a single pod was open. There had to be at least a thousand pods in this room, with rows and rows of them.
Pods holding thousands of humans.
I moved on, peeking into the next. This room had all open pods, though there were only ten of them in there.
“Someone’s awake,” I muttered. I wondered who we would bump into and what their story would be.
“It’s honestly so fascinating to see you play in real life, well, as real as this could be,” Cyrus said.
“You really watch my gaming vlogs?” I smiled as I glanced back.
“We all do. We’ve watched a lot of your streams and vlogs.”
“Well, thank you for your support. I appreciate it.” I half expected them to mention why I hadn’t posted in almost a year, but I was glad they didn’t.
We got to the end of the hall where the elevator was located. Stepping inside, the men surrounded me like bodyguards. A wave of heat rushed through me as the door closed us in.
Silence fell as I pressed the button labeled B. I assumed it was “b” for bridge and not for basement as it was the top of the buttons. If it was for the basement, it would be at the bottom, right?
My eyes moved to the men surrounding me in the reflective elevator doors. Cyrus’s eyes weren’t in front of him. Instead, they had fallen, running over my body. My spine stiffened a bit. His eyes bounced up and met mine in the reflection, but he did nothing to hide that he was staring.
Heat rushed through me, and I could almost see the lust raking over his bright blue eyes.
Looking at the others, I saw their looks in the mirror, most of them quick glances at my body, but they all had a good look.
The elevator shifted and bounced to a stop, making a loud cracking noise.
I reached out, grabbing someone’s arm to keep from falling to my ass.
Once settled, I glanced over to see I had grabbed Zelos’s forearm. “Sorry,” I straightened.
“It’s okay,” he answered with a small smile.
The elevator made the noise again, but it didn’t move.
“Can you guys open the door?” I asked, pressing my hand along the seam.
“Like, is it possible in the game or can we physically do it?” Kyree asked, moving to the elevator door.
“Both,” I asked. I didn’t know if they needed a lot of strength to open the door, and I wasn’t going to look like an idiot when four very strong men stood around me.
Kyree put his fingers between the seams and pulled his hands apart.
My eyes raked over his back as the second skin suit showed off the muscles he had rippling. I imagined my fingers running over them. My eyes dropped to his hips. I’d grip them as he’d thrust in me. The thought brought heat over my body.
He stepped to the side, making my eyes move quickly up to his face. Beside him, the elevator doors had been completely opened by just him. He smiled with pride.
Prying my eyes from the hot man, I saw that we were stuck between floors and just facing a concrete wall. I stepped close, trying to peep up to the floor above us.
But I couldn’t see anything.
My eyes wandered all around the elevator shaft, landing on a piece of the roof that could be moved. “Can I have a boost?” I asked, pointing up to the roof.
“Say please,” Cyrus teased, moving to get under the tile.
“Pretty please,” I said, batting my eyelids at him.
His eyes dropped over me as he and Theon were across from each other, about to lift me up.
“Let me go first,” Zelos said and reached up. His fingertips pushed the roof in and then over. He jumped a bit to grab the edge of the hole.
The elevator jumped a bit.
We all paused, waiting to see if the elevator would fall.
And when it didn’t and settled, he lifted himself up, biceps bulging.
Heat coated my thighs as my eyes ran over his disappearing body. Just watching him made me wet. Why were these men so strong and hot?
Zelos laid on his stomach, letting his hand fall towards me.
I stepped into Cyrus’s cupped hands. With his boost, I reached up and grabbed Zelos’s hand. Then he wrapped his arm around my hips, pulling me up against him. I grabbed his broad shoulders, steadying myself on the metal platform.
“Thank you,” I smiled, my hand running down his solid chest.
“Of course,” Zelos said in a deep voice that made his chest rumble under my hand.
My heart swelled and warmed up, almost as if his warmth was seeping into my skin.
When I heard the whirling of my drone following me, I let go of him, clearing my throat. My eyes looked around as he let my hips go. A ladder was pressed to the side of the wall, and looking up, we weren’t far from the top. The lights at the top flickered.
“Let’s go up,” I suggested, moving to the ladder.
“I’ll go first and open the elevator doors,” Zelos said, and I stepped aside. Less work for me.
