Chapter Thirteen

Kouvr

The echo of our sex bounced in my head as Theon and I did our best to clean up in a bathroom. Heat rushed through me as I glanced at him, and I suddenly wanted more.

I used to think I was broken, wanting round after round. I don’t think it had anything wrong to do with Theon or even Cyrus. Both men were equally very good in giving me multiple orgasms that were actually good.

But I always felt insatiable.

Exes could not keep up; most guys may last a round, if that.

Theon was quick, but I could tell it was on purpose. We could have been caught, though it didn’t seem like any of them would have minded… just watching.

“So, uh,” I started, almost saying ‘question’ out of habit. “Have you watched Cyrus with someone before?”

Theon cocked a brow. “We’ve shared.”

My chest shuddered. They’ve shared. They who? Cyrus and him? At the same time? Or all the time? “Questions.”

“I can see that,” Theon let out a chuckle, buckling his pants. “You just went through so many emotions on your face.”

My mom told me I was never good at hiding my emotions. For me, it was too much work to hide my feelings.

“You can ask whatever you’d like,” he said, washing his hands under the sink.

I bit my lip. Where do I start? “You’ve guy shared? At the same time?”

“Yes and no. Share as in… we don’t care for a woman to just date one or indulge in one. You could have us all.” He said it so casually, as if I was thinking about it.

I sucked on my lip. “Uh… Good to know it’s an option. I wasn’t going to…”

Theon’s corner of his lips curled. “Right.”

“I feel nothing towards…” I wanted to lie and tell him I didn’t look at Zelos like that. Not his ass or his shoulders and muscles. Or Kyree. His glances and his heavy, deep voice. He looked like a sin that I wanted to be sinning. I was just as exhausted, showing that I didn’t want to hump these men. I would be hiding my feelings. “Whatever. You all are coming onto me.”

“Right,” Theon lifted my chin to look up at him. “Let’s go before the guys come looking for you. You have a vlog to shoot.”

“Fuck. How long has it been?” Anxiety rushed through me, and I moved to catch up to an already moving Theon, but as if he could sense my nerves, he stopped.

“It hasn’t been long,” he assured. “No one will notice.”

I nodded. But I wasn’t thinking about the guys noticing I was thinking about my fans and the work I had to do for the vlogs. I'd been so invested in these men that I almost forgot that this was for work.

Anxiety rushed through me. Yesterday's video was good, and I planned on releasing it as soon as the editing was done tonight. Today would be a separate video.

I worried about what people would say to me coming back. Even when people were fans, they could still be a bit rude. Though I knew my fans really had my back. I knew those comments shouldn’t get to me and though they didn’t anymore, I still felt the rush of anxiety.

Theon bumped my side and said, “I’ll beat you there.” Then, in a flash, he took off running. “Loser pays for dinner.”

“What?” I took off after him, realizing he was serious. I ran, catching up with him quite quickly.

“Runner?” he asked.

“Lifter.” I pushed myself, focusing and running. With my curls bouncing the wind passing us and Theon on my tail, I felt… no anxiety. Just a rush of adrenaline. In that moment, it didn’t matter. It didn’t matter how long I took on projects or how many “when are you coming back” I got.

But only until we had to slow down.

A giggle escaped me as I reached the guys a second before Theon. I could tell he really tried, bending over and out of breath.

“You just have to be better, Theon,” I dusted off the fake dust on my shoulder.

Kyree’s brows pulled. “Where were you guys?”

I looked at Theon. “What game were we playing? It was a band game.”

“Rockstars.” Theon breathed out, standing up straight and fixing his hair.

“Oh, playing a game, huh?” Kyree asked, glancing between us. Of course, he’d put two and two together, or maybe he didn’t have to and heard it.

I rolled my eyes. “Yes, playing a game.” I didn’t kiss and tell, but if Theon wanted to do that, he could. I looked down at my tablet on my arm, letting the drones fly into the air from the table they were resting on.

“What game is next?” I asked, glancing at Cyrus and the guys. I wasn’t sure what to expect from him, anger or maybe betrayal.

Instead, he moved to my side and said, “City of the Dead.”

“Oh…” I got a feeling about what this game could be about. “Everyone ready for the vlog to start?”

They nodded.

“But you might have to change for the next game.” Cyrus pointed out.

I looked down, realizing I was still wearing yesterday’s skin-tight space uniform. It looked just as amazing as it did yesterday, hugging each and every curve on my body. “How?”

“Go to inventory. You can open the closet and choose a different outfit,” Theon explained.

I listened to Theon, clinking on the inventory icon at the bottom of the screen and opening the closet. A full wooden-walled closet surrounded me, making the purple ParaDise lobby disappear. I quickly grabbed a drone and turned it on, though I didn’t plan on getting naked in front of them.

This wasn’t one of those videos.

“Whoa,” I muttered, wondering if the guys were on the other side of the walls. I was now alone, despite being around the guys a moment ago.

The closet was like a fancy walk-in closet, and the moment my fingers ran over the jeans, my outfit changed without a breeze against my bare ass. The jeans looked great on me but didn’t look good over the suit.

“Isn’t this cool?” I asked the drone. I didn’t even start my video like usual, but I wanted to show this experience.

Clothes were abundant, but I didn’t know if it was because they were the developers and they set it up like this or if all these clothes had to be earned along the way.

“I’ll make sure to ask more questions about the game today… How will I know what to wear?” I asked myself more in particular. I wanted to match the outfit to what we were doing. I remembered what the guys were wearing and moved to the black jeans. Touching the first pair, my jeans changed into the ripped skinny jeans.

Checking out my ass in the mirror, I approved. It was cut well, like any pants I would typically wear.

Moving to the next section, which had endless shirts. “My god.” I would love to have a wardrobe like this, though I guess I do now, just not in real life.

I leaned against a black body suit and my outfit changed into it. I glanced in the mirror, not hating what I accidentally chose.

On the bottom layers of the shelves, there were various heels and boots. They were all sparkly and pretty, making me want to model each and every one. But to stay on theme, I selected the cutest combat boots that came up past my ankles. My shoes switched, and I stretched in them.

Comfortable and broken in.

Looking down at the inventory button, I thought I was done until I saw all the sparkling jewelry on one of the shelves.

“They sure know how to wow a girl,” I muttered, moving to it.

A wave of gratitude plunged in my chest almost as if this was what my wardrobe looked like. Yes, I had many clothes and jewelry, but nothing this fancy and pretty.

I had been too scared and exhausted to even think about it. Making money was at an all-time low, though mentally, I didn’t feel like that. I just got used to living abundantly with so little.

I moved to the island in the middle of the closet and leaned in to look at a beautiful gold lock necklace. My fingers ran over the chain. The gold was cold under my finger until I felt it against my chest. I hissed at the cold jewelry but let out a chuckle.

It was insane how much detail was put into this game. I wanted to pay a bit more attention to the details this time around. Less about the men… if I could.

I picked out matched stud earrings and a few rings. One glance at the mirror, and I knew I was done. I fluffed my blonde curls, scanning over my face. I had done a lot of maintenance like I normally do every weekend to make sure I looked great for the week.

“Good?” I asked, giving the camera a thumbs up. But my eyes landed on a black leather jacket.

Grabbing it and pulling it on, I checked out myself in the mirror, looking at my butt and everything. I decided it was a perfect outfit for the next game and pressed the exit button of my menu tab. In a flash, I was back in the lobby, standing before the four men.

“Ready?” Cyrus’s eyes wandered over my body, eyes locking on the necklace. “You look great.”

“Perfect for the next game?” I asked, doing a spin.

“Perfect.” He nodded.

Smirking, I moved towards the catwalk of games, glancing over my shoulder to see the guys following.

Cyrus was the first to get around me and open the door to the catwalk.

“Thank you,” I said.

He let me through, letting the door swing close behind him.

“Didn’t hold the door for us,” Kyree muttered, obviously a bit hurt.

I chuckled, glancing back. I saw his dark eyes glancing at my ass. Then our eyes met. The words that Theon said floated around my head. “ We’ve shared.”

Heat rushed between my thighs as flashes of Kyree’s mouth against my neck, veiny hands running up my thighs, while Cyrus was at my other side, cupping my breasts.

Would they share me like that?

I turned around, trying to blink away the nasty thoughts.

But quickly Zelos and Theon were added, one at my front and the other at my back.

Would that even work? A fivesome? Would that finally satisfy me, or would I have to go through these games with flashes of the bodies against mine?

I looked down at my tablet, seeing the drones recording all of us. I just slept with Theon in front of a million A.I.s. Cyrus and I were in No Way Out, having sex before the planet.

I barely knew these men and barely talked to Zelos or Kyree, both seemed quiet guys. Cyrus was very handsome and his passion for explaining ParaDise made me interested in him. And Theon. My heart swelled thinking about how he was banging away on the drums like his life depended on it.

Was I falling that quickly?

“Ready?” Cyrus asked me, breaking my train of thought.

I nodded, flashing a smile at him as he opened the door to the next game and let me and my drones in first.

The world around us changed as my combat boots hit concrete pavement. The air thickened, harsh with the smell of fire, ash, and decay. Ahead of us was a very large city, and we were on a hill, hovering above it. Smoke was rising from it, distressed sounds filling the air. The sun was high in the air, and whatever was going on with the city was raging on.

Turning, I looked at the guys following me. The door from the catwalk was gone now, and a forest surrounded the city, and our car facing it was on fire.

My head spun, making me reach up. My fingers were wet when I pulled away. Bright red blood stained my skin. Blood from the car accident.

Glancing at Cyrus, he had a cut cheek to show for it too. But he winked and smiled at me, moving forward.

“So… burning city, crashed car. What is this?” I asked Cyrus, following him.

“Do you like surprises, Kouvr?” he asked, glancing over.

I didn’t even need to think about it. My brain was always way too curious for anything for there to be surprises. “No.”

He chuckled. “Noted.”

He said noted… but still didn’t tell me where we were or what we were doing. I looked down at the tablet, trying to see if the drones could get more detail.

I rolled my eyes, moving along as a phone went off. It vibrated in my pocket. Mine. Good more story to the line. I pulled it out and saw the name “Sergeant.” I picked it up and put it on speaker.

“Kouvr, you better be in Clover City,” he said, instantly.

“Two cities over sir,” the words flow from my mouth as if they were my own. Story mode control me? “We… have a problem here.”

“What kind?”

My lips closed until I finally said, “I don’t know.”

“Sounds like what is going on here. People, creatures , have been reanimated.”

My lips curled into a smile when he said those words. Excitement rushed through me. “Reanimated?”

“A brain infection, making people return to life and kill others. White eyes, grey skin, and the thirst for blood.” Screams sounded off in the call’s background, and a few gunshots rained out. “I have to go, get to the center of Clover City by tomorrow morning. Helicopters are going out for those in priority and that’s you guys.”

“Okay, sir. What are our orders with these… things?”

A door burst open in the background of the call and loud shots rained out. “Shoot for the head.”

The call ended, and I looked at the guys, becoming aware of our guns holstered. We didn’t look like any type of officer or soldier, more like ordinary people in regular clothes.

“We get to shoot some zombies! We get to shoot some zombies!” I did a jig, making them laugh. “Let’s go!”

“This isn’t the only zombie storyline in ParaDise,” Cyrus explained, mainly as we got closer to the city. “We have one that starts mid-apocalypse and another that starts at the end of the apocalypse, which is a bit crazy. But we also have developers working on a cyberpunk apocalypse.”

“So as ParaDise goes on, more and more games will be added?” I asked.

He nodded. “We plan on hiring more and more developers and having a steady release of worlds to explore about five times a year.”

My brows bounced, and I was instantly curious about his work and what he could tell me about that process. But I wanted to get into the game. The closer we got to the city, the louder the screams grew.

“I’m guessing you can’t just hop into a random vehicle and drive a city over.”

Theon nodded. “You could. I’ve done it.”

I let out a laugh. “Why?”

“Horror games…” he then shuttered.

“He’s a scaredy cat,” Kyree said, laughing with a busted lip.

“I am not. I just don’t appreciate any aspects of running for my life as a thing behind me wants to eat my face off. No thanks.”

I laughed, having to agree.

“I swear I could feel their breath on me!”

Kyree was laughing his ass off beside him, probably remembering playing with him. His laugh… was heavy but also almost high-pitched. It was really fucking cute. “He almost pissed himself in his simulation machine.”

I snorted, almost really imagining it. It had been done before, a gamer pissing himself in his machine as the fear trickled out into real life.

“If you want to run to the next town over, we can,” Cyrus said. “but you will be missing out on different types of leveling up skills. There are quests and side quests to do, or just looting for money or things to trade. You meet quite a few different people in the story, and you never know when something will be important.”

“That would make me pick up everything,” I snorted.

He smirked, rolling his eyes. “You know what I mean, looting will help with our inventory. Right now, the goal is to make it a town over by tomorrow.”

“I do like looting,” I said with a skip in my step. “It’s my favorite part of games!”
