"And Jesse Edison secures another win for the New York Giants!" screams the announcer with glee. My teammates run to hug me and almost tackle me down to the waxed court. I look at the scoreboard, satisfied that another season has successfully come to an end.

I struggle to my feet as my teammates shake each other. I turn towards the spectators and see Olivia in the front row looking as radiant as ever. I smile and blink back tears. As I drive my beautiful family home, I can"t help but marvel at how different my life has become in the space of five years. As I arrive home, I say my goodbyes to Hal. I ease into our spacious garage and dash into the house.

As I turn to check the pantry, I notice rose petals littered all over the maple wood floor leading to the staircase. I smile and follow the petals up the stairs to the bedroom where Olivia is sprawled out on the bed.
