Chapter 19

Chapter Nineteen

ZURA

There are Orcs going in every direction as the last of the shuttles are being loaded with the machinery that had been brought to help with the pods. MeK , DaR , and XuL are all standing together talking when we walk up.

XuL reaches over, pulling me to him, hugging me close, and I can't help but laugh when I hear OrO growl lightly behind me. XuL grins down at me before glancing over at OrO . " Calm yourself, brother, you need to learn how to share. Zura , we will miss you on Darverius , and remember if this big lug doesn't treat you properly. I am always available to give him a tune up."

" I think I can handle him, but I am glad you have my back, XuL . Give Keida and Danny a hug for me. Keida wasn't happy to hear I wasn't coming back when I commed her earlier, but I assured her I did not plan on being a stranger and that we would visit soon. I also promised to sponsor her in the Warrior trials and she was all smiles when we disconnected."

" Zura , she will miss your guidance and instructions. I will pass on that hug." He turns towards OrO and I miss what they are talking about when MeK walks up. He isn't quite as tall as the others, but he is so broad across the chest that he appears larger.

" Queen Zura , we have had a very productive experience together, and I am pleased with its outcome. I will monitor the pods from our main research center and will send drones to fix any anomalies that occur throughout the next rotations. If you have need of me, I am a simple comm away. It's been a pleasure to work with you and your people."

" MeK , thank you for all you have done for us. My people would still be homeless without you. If you ever need us, please don't think twice about asking. We owe you a huge debt." He nods his head and moves away, stopping to talk to OrO for a moment before XuL and he both move towards the last two shuttles.

When DaR steps up next to me, I have to fight the tears that form in my eyes as I owe all my happiness to this male. " I haven't had the chance to say this, but I am sorry you had to cut your vacation short because of all this madness."

" No apologies necessary, Zura . We only had a few risings left at that location. And I will say the rotation before I left was quite enlightening, you will have to ask Kira about our camping trip the next time you see her. The females enjoyed themselves a little too much at all the males' expense."

Whispering , I force the words out, " I would have lost him if you had not shown up, DaR ."

" But you didn't, Zura , and even though things have changed drastically. Change is a constant in life. You are never really prepared for it, but you have to adapt and learn from the differences forced upon you. You will rule with a wise and caring hand Zura . Your people are lucky to have you. Unfortunately , there is still no sign of your mother on any of the planet's scans. Right now, SCOUT believes she escaped on the small shuttle that left the planet unauthorized right after she was put into custody. With so many missing after the eruption, we can't even figure out if anyone assisted her in the escape."

" As long as she leaves me and mine alone, DaR , it doesn't matter to me where she went. I didn't want this responsibility of being Queen , Commander . I worry that every decision I make will be wrong in some way."

" It is a huge weight to carry when others depend on you, but you are not alone, Zura . I am a simple comm away if you ever need advice or a kind ear to vent to." His comm unit goes off and I see him glance down. " SAGE wants me to tell you that she is leaving several of the Maintenance bots here to help out with the remaining projects that need to be completed. Also , the new comm units for the younglings will arrive on the next shuttle. She is working on a project with Kira directly and will contact you later this rising herself."

" Thank you for staying as long as you have, DaR . I know you don't like to be away from Kira ."

" You are correct about that, and even though it was necessary for me to be here, I am ready to spend several rotations alone with my mate. When she is not near, I feel like a piece of me is missing. I understand better than most how the world demands much of you Zura , but never forget to take time for each other."

" Hopefully , OrO and I will now have the opportunity to spend more time together now that our people are rebuilding their lives and moving back into their own dwellings."

" Don't wait for the world to allow that, take it." DaR doesn't get a chance to say anything else when SCOUT appears in front of us.

" Forgive me for the intrusion, but Commander , I need you on that shuttle immediately. The Destroyer has just emerged from the nebula and EvO is hailing you. Your comm unit is not strong enough to receive the weak signal he is transmitting. From what I have received, he is in need of your council."

DaR looks at me. " Go , we're fine, give Kira a hug for me and we will talk soon." He walks off, running towards the open ramp on his shuttle. XuL is only steps behind him as the ramp closes.

MeK waves before hitting the button to seal his own shuttle and both ships break through the atmosphere within seconds. OrO and I stand here together, watching as they leave. " Your poor father never gets a break."

" I only heard pieces of what was happening, but I know that EvO has been out of range for several Orbital rotations now. If it had not been for the random messages father was receiving, I believe he would have gone after them."

" How many brothers of yours are on the Destroyer ?"

" EvO , LeX , ViN , and his mate, Ember , if I recall correctly."

Running my fingers down his chest, I tug on one of his long white braids, making him look down at me. " You do know this is the first time we have been alone since all this started."

" What a keen eye you have my queen, do you have anything in mind that just the two of us could engage in?"

" Possibly , but I believe you are overdressed."

OrO growls right before he throws me over his shoulder even though I'm squirming like crazy. I can't stop laughing even when his large hand swats my ass.

" Behave yourself."

" Maybe I should scream and play the damsel in distress. Simply to see who comes to my rescue."

" Let any male try to take you out of my arms and you will watch him face an early death."

" Frack , I love it when you get all possessive. All the blood is running to my head. Where are you taking me?"

" Someplace where your screams will not be heard."

I hear the sound of a door sliding open just seconds before OrO sits me back on my feet. Looking around, I can tell we are in a pod. " Ok , whose dwelling are we invading?"

" This is an extra one and right now I am the only one coded to enter it, so you are at my mercy."

OrO starts walking me backward until my knees hit a bed. The whole time he is walking, he is stripping my clothes off, until I'm sitting completely naked before him. His magical fingers have distracted me to the point that all I have managed to do is unbutton his vest.

" OrO , you have way too many clothes on and I think you look extremely uncomfortable."

Reaching out, my hands eagerly explore the male I have craved for so long as he bares himself to me. His body is sculpted like granite. He does not have an ounce of fat anywhere, and I enjoy watching his muscles bulge and flex as he moves. Running my hands down his chest, my fingers caressing the evidence of his obvious desire for me. Barely being able to get my hand around his arousal. He growls before slamming his lips upon mine, a small hiss leaves his lips when I gently stroke him.

Tracing the dips and valleys of his chest with my tongue, my head lowers down to taste him when he pulls my face back up for a kiss. " I've been made to wait too long to enjoy you, without any interruptions or threats of immediate death hanging over our heads. This time I will finish inside you, marking your very soul with my seed and scent. Then we will take the time to explore our other options."

OrO reaches under me, lifting us both further up into the bed. His weight settles on top of me and I spread my legs, welcoming the feeling of us finally skin to skin. He kisses me like a man starved. His hands run up and down my body, caressing one breast, then the other. I arch into him as his mouth leaves mine, as he takes one nipple into his mouth, swirling his tongue around its sensitive peak. I'm so wrapped up in the wickedness of what his tongue is doing to me that I don't feel his other hand moving down my body until his fingers spread my feminine folds.

Pulling his head closer, I squirm under his teasing fingers. He kisses his way back up towards my mouth, his fingers teasing my most intimate place relentlessly. As my climax builds, my legs wrap around him tighter, trying anything to bring him inside of me, but he pulls his hips back just out of reach. " Let go, Zura . I need to watch you fall apart in my arms."

His words push me over the edge and my fingernails grip his back as I scream his name out. Before I can catch my breath, he enters into me with one hard thrust. Immediately sending me into another climax. My mind is so dazed that I don't know where he ends or I begin. His power consumes me as he thrusts into me. His mouth moves to mine again and I pull his hair hard, kissing and biting at his lips. I hear a growl leave his throat and a roar comes from our fused mouths as I feel him reaching his own crest. Between the pain and pleasure his body is demanding of mine, I peak again. He collapses on top of me and I wrap my legs around him so that he can't move away.

" I don't want this to end ever," I think to myself. Only for me to hear his thoughts in my mind.

" I don't either, but you may need to give me a moment to recover ."

Caressing his face, I smile up at him as I feel our link get stronger. " I heard your thoughts as clearly as if you had spoken them."

OrO rolls off me, pulling me into his side. " You know this means you're stuck with me for eternity from this life to the next one. You're mine, Zura . This is just the beginning of the things we will be able to share together. We are as one, my move, as it should be. You will never experience loneliness again, as I will always strive to be the light in the darkness of your mind. I love you, Zura , you must know that."

Tears flow from my eyes as I don't only hear, but can feel the emotions behind his words. I don't know what lies ahead of us, but if we have each other, we will make it through. Straddling him, I crawl up onto his stomach. Loving the feeling of his large hands settling on my hips. " In all the rotations I dreamed of you and how things could be between us. My imagination never pictured us as we are now. I know we have been blessed beyond measure and even though I am angry that we lost rotations together because of the actions of others. As long as we ended up right here, I wouldn't change a thing. I love you too OrO . In this life and the next, you are all I will ever need."

His rare smile makes my heart hit my chest.

" Come here, my mate, and let me show you what else I need."
