24. Hunter

Ilooked across the hotel room to my roomie. His auburn hair was longer than when we first met, his stubble a little thicker on his face. My mind often wondered to what that new facial feature would feel against my stomach as he looked at me with those eyes, working his way lower… and lower.

As if he could sense my thoughts, Tyler turned his gaze on me, warming me inch by inch as he studied me from head to toe. I stood half-dressed, wanting nothing more than to get lost in his body. It had been too long since I felt his touch, and there was nothing I wanted more than to ask for one more time.

"You've been M.I.A lately, everything okay?" Tyler asked, concern melting together with the heat in his eyes. He was the only one that could read me like a book. Kinsley hadn't even noticed the cloud hanging over my had the last couple weeks. My fake smiles and extroverted bravado had kept her concerns at bay. But my Aussie? He'd been shooting me questioning glances for the last couple weeks.

"Just family shit, you know?"

Ty's lip quirked, an all-knowing look coming to his face. "Want to talk about it?"

I let my gaze flow over his torso, wishing he wasn't wearing a shirt, wishing I could drown in his dips and diverts of his muscles.

"I rather forget."

He huffed out a breath and cast his gaze down as he shook his head. Each back-and-forth shake was like his mind swinging between yes or no. I stood to one side of that swing, hoping he flew my way so I could catch him.

Just as I thought he was going to swing the other way, he picked up his phone and started to swipe across the screen. "I'm Into It" by Chase Atlantic began to play. He looked up, eyebrow quirked, and his lips splitting into a sexy smile that had me rushing across the room, tugging his shirt off, unbuttoning his jeans and sinking to my knees—for him.
