Chapter 11

Eleven

SHAWN

" T hey've been in that shower awhile now," I said, trying to hear what was going on with my keen alpha hearing as I put together spaghetti sauce for our pasta dinner tonight.

"J is clearly working his magic in the shower. Hope he gets some pussy," laughed Silus, leaning against the island table in the kitchen. "What do you think, Darius?"

Darius was flipping through the channels on the TV.

"He's unpredictable. Who knows what's happening," grumbled Darius.

"Damn, I wish it was me in that shower with her," I said, shaking my head. She smelled so amazing. Like oranges.

Having dinner with an omega was going to be refreshing, and I couldn't wait. Watching her eat would turn me on like crazy. I loved watching females eat.

Jatix had taken a hiatus from dating, and we all had to suffer along with him. He didn't care about relationships in the past, and we were allowed to screw whoever showed up at the door. But ever since he saw the Frostcrown Pack happy with their omega, he wanted the same, even though he never admitted it outright.

"I don't think the omega gives a shit about us," said Silus.

"Why so negative?" I asked, stirring the huge pot. My twin brother could be such a pessimist.

"She was bought at an auction. The worst place," he drawled, leaning his head against his hand. "I need to test her somehow. Figure out her true intentions."

"You should be a little trusting," I advised. "You're going to make her hate us."

Silus rolled his eyes like I was being naive.

"Jatix had a proposal from King Saku at the ball," said Darius.

"The king wanted to marry J?" asked Silus, smirking.

"No, you fucker. He wanted Princess Lyra to marry Jatix," growled Darius.

"What the hell did J say?"

"He refused. We would have been tied to the Royal Pack if he accepted," said Darius.

"Fuck, we would have been royalty," said Silus. "But Keera is hotter, so it doesn't matter. I just have to figure out if she's for real."

"Just get to know this omega. Even though she comes from an auction, it doesn't mean she's any less than a normal omega," I stressed. "You watch. She may be the greatest thing that ever happens to us."
