Chapter 37

Tasha felt an electric thrill at Megan’s words. She felt her face light up with a smile fueled by that electric feeling. “Where should we go?” she asked.

“I don’t know, but we really need to get out of here. Do you need to get a coat?”

“That’s my girlfriend, practical as always.”

Megan smiled at that.

Tasha continued, “And you really care. That’s why you’re such an amazing mom.”

“Awww, thank you!”

“You’re welcome, and no coat. I left it at the office. I’ll get it on Monday.” Tasha took Megan’s hand and they walked toward the door. Once outside, Megan raised an arm and waved. Down the street, headlights turned on and a parked vehicle started to move.

“Maria got us a limo! I haven’t ridden in one of these since my wedding.”

“Prom for me, and bravo, Maria.”

When the limousine pulled up, the two quickly bundled themselves into the warm vehicle. The driver asked where they wanted to go next. Megan answered, “We’d like to go to a nice restaurant. Something classy but not overdone. I haven’t had a chance to look for one, though.”

“Leave that to me,” he responded before asking, “Any restrictions?”

“No, not that I can think of. You?”

Tasha answered, “No restrictions here. A cozy place with candles would be nice, though.”

“Got it! You two just relax and I’ll take care of it.” With that, the driver raised the divider, leaving them in private.

The two relaxed and shook off their brief foray into the cold evening. They huddled together and took one last selfie for Maria. As Tasha sent the selfie to Maria, she felt Megan’s fingers on her biceps, tracing the cat paw trail up her arm.

“Tasha…” Megan purred. “I think that it’s time to properly kiss my girlfriend.”

“Are you sure? Here in the limo?” Megan’s fingertips were leaving trails of fire on her arm.

“Tasha, please kiss me before I lose my nerve.”

Tasha leaned in and Megan met her. What started as a brief kiss quickly elongated into a very drawn-out and energetic kiss. Eventually, the two separated and fell backwards, each breathing heavily.

Tasha dreamily asked, “So, how was it?”

“Amazing! Was it good for you? I’ve never?—”

“Shhh, Megan. It was perfect.”

“Mmm, good. I think that might have been the best kiss of my life.” Megan giggled, then continued, “But I’m not sure. We might have to do that again. You know, for science.”

“Well, I guess so.” Tasha laughed. “How can I say ‘no’ to science?”

Tasha was about to sit up when Megan pounced. Suddenly Megan’s hands were on her face, in her hair. Megan’s lips were on hers, then her tongue invaded Tasha’s mouth. Megan straddled her hips, taking advantage of the roominess of the limousine to press Tasha backwards. Tasha wasn’t complaining. Not at all, well, at least until she started to have trouble breathing. She tapped out, and Megan sat up, still in Tasha’s lap as the limousine lurched into motion. Tasha grabbed her to keep her from falling, and Megan laughed as she held onto Tasha.

“Where did that come from?”

“I don’t know, I just felt it at the moment. Was it too much?”

“No, it was incredible. You are incredible.”

“Thank you. You are amazing, too!”

“So, Megan. What did science say? Better than the first one?”

“Mmm, definitely. You know, just to make the experiment fair, maybe I should get off your lap and have you pounce on me and kiss me to within an inch of my life? You know, for science.”

“I dunno, Megan. I guess I’ll have to do it, but only because that makes the experiment fair.” Tasha grinned and leapt on top of Megan. She felt Megan’s hands on her hips, steadying her as the car rocked and swayed on their way to wherever they were going. Tasha felt like they were crossing a bridge, both literally and figuratively, as Megan’s fingers started to trace downwards. They finished crossing the Willamette right about the same time as Megan’s fingertips found the tops of her stockings.

With a start, Megan pulled her hands off of Tasha’s legs and placed them on her shoulders, gently pushing her back. They were both breathing heavily, and Megan was definitely flushed.

“Tasha, I…”

“What is it, baby?”

“We need to dial this back a bit. I’m sorry.”

“Is it too much? I’m sorry, I didn’t?—”

“Tasha, you are good! Better than good, actually.” Megan leered at her. “I really love kissing you, and I want to do a lot more of that, but that’s as far as we can go right now.”

“Oh?”

“Yeah, I’m sorry. I’m still married to Brad and I swore a vow to be faithful. Sure, he’s a cheating shitweasel—” Tasha grinned at that “—but I am not.”

“No, you’re definitely not a cheating shitweasel.”

“Thank you, Tasha. I’m sorry if I’m disappointing you.”

“Megan, it’s okay. We both need to be comfortable. I’m gonna tell you, Brad better sign those damn papers soon or else I’m gonna rip his arms off and beat him to death with them!” Megan laughed at that. Tasha continued, “Even then, let’s promise to talk and be sure that we are comfortable. If we go beyond where either of us is comfortable, let’s promise to communicate that and be okay with it.”

“Oh, Goddess Tasha. You make consent sound so sexy!” They both laughed at that. “But yes, you are right and I promise to communicate with you.”

“Me too. Any idea where we’re going?”

“We definitely crossed a bridge.”

“Yeah, we did,” Tasha agreed with an over-the-top lasciviousness.

Megan answered in a very sultry tone, “So. Stockings?”

“Do you like them?”

“Definitely,” Megan’s voice dropped to a silky murmur. “You should wear them again some time.”

“What should I wear them with?”

“Who said that you would be wearing anything else?”

Tasha felt her spine tingle at that.

“Oh look, we’ve stopped!”

“I’m gonna get you back for that, Megan!”

“Mmm, I’m looking forward to it.”

Before Tasha could respond, the driver tapped on the divider. They quickly readjusted themselves and rolled down the divider. “We’re here,” he said. “I hope that this place works for you.”

“This Thai place? It looks perfect, thank you!”

“Parking is terrible around here. This is my card. Call me when you’re ready.”

“Thanks! Are you hungry? We can get you some take-out.”

“You ladies are really sweet. I always pack something. If you’re gonna be here for a while, I may hit a food cart for something hot.”

Tasha looked at Megan, then said, “Yes, I think that we’ll probably be here for an hour or so.”

They exchanged pleasantries as Megan and Tasha exited the car. They held hands as they walked into the restaurant, partially because they really enjoyed that and partially because they were both wearing stilettos and needed the help balancing. The driver had arranged a table for them, so they were seated immediately. The restaurant had a decent crowd, but not overwhelming. Once they ordered, they held hands across the table.

Tasha broke the silence between them. “I don’t want to pressure you, but, um, now that we are officially girlfriends—” they both smiled at that “—are you still thinking of moving out at some point, or do you want to make this permanent?”

“About that. I really want to stay with you, and I like your apartment and all, but… oh, wow. I know I’m blushing now. Tasha, I think that Sophia needs her own bedroom!”

Tasha’s eyebrows arched. “Megan, are you saying that you want to sleep with me?”

“Yes! Very much, yes. I mean, right now I want to sleep with you, at least until the divorce is finalized, and then I want to sleep with you and I definitely can’t do that with Sophia there.”

Tasha relished the emphasis that Megan added and the quiet urgency in her voice. “Agreed. When do you want to start looking for a new place?”

“Right now! I mean, not right now, right now, but you know…”

“Let’s start looking, then. I like my apartment, but I’m really motivated now to get Sophia her own room. We might need sound-proofing.”

“Tasha!”

“Just saying.” Tasha couldn’t help the feral grin on her face.

Their dumplings arrived right then, saving a wildly blushing Megan from more embarrassment. Dinner came along not long after that. They called the driver once they were finished and held hands again on their way to the limousine, which would take them back to Maria’s place.

Tasha kept holding Megan’s hand, even once inside. “I’m really having fun tonight, and not just the wildly passionate make-out session.”

“Me too. We should get dressed up and go out on date nights more often.”

“That’s a good thought! I’m really enjoying jumping into this relationship with you, but I think that it would be good for us to go on dates. I feel like it’s really different for us because we lived together for four years and then have known each other for ten more years.”

And the rest of our lives sounds really good right now. Hopefully Megan thinks that aswell.

“That makes sense to me. I’ve never had a girlfriend before and I’m really excited to go out with you. Oh, I get to show the world how beautiful and sexy my girlfriend is.” By the tone in her voice, it seemed like Megan was as giddy as Tasha felt.

“I bet that your girlfriend is just as beautiful and sexy as my girlfriend is.”

“I bet she is! Oh, but does your girlfriend kiss you as well as me?”

“Mmm, let’s find out.”

“For sci—mmpf.”
