15. Tommy

TOMMY

The moment I landed on Spike's open window, he shot up from his bed, growling, and displayed his sharp, partially shifted fangs.

I nearly took flight again, but Spike paused in front of me, confusion written all over his face.

"Tommy? Is that you?" he asked, his teeth returning to normal.

I relaxed a bit, and when he tried to pet my feathered head, I snapped at his fingers with my sharp beak.

Surprisingly, it got a laugh from him. Well, at least I managed to amuse someone today.

It hadn't been long since I left the Grizzly Reapers MC clubhouse, and yet here I was, back again.

My initial destination had been Dylan's room.

I landed on his and Whizz's bedroom window first, only to find them cuddled up in bed.

Not wanting to intrude, I decided to pay Spike a visit. In all honesty, I didn't know where else to go.

The woods seemed tempting, but the vast expanse without Nitro's guidance left me wary of getting lost.

Besides, I wanted to annoy my mate a little, not piss him off. Nitro and Marc were probably worried sick by now.

"Well then, come inside. You probably need clothes," Spike said, motioning for me to enter.

He went to his closet and pulled out jogging pants and a shirt for me.

While I would have preferred wearing Nitro's clothes, I wasn't about to ask an injured shifter to go to Nitro's room just for my comfort.

Spike turned around as I finished changing forms, and then I put my clothes on.

I could hear him tapping away on his phone, presumably informing Nitro of my whereabouts.

Spike wasn't exactly being subtle, and he probably felt honor-bound to his best friend or something.

"You told him I was here?" I asked.

"Don't be mad," Spike quickly replied.

“I’m not, or I’m not angry at you at the very least,” I said.

"What happened between you two anyway? Didn't you two leave the MC clubhouse all lovey-dovey?" Spike asked.

Spike took a seat on the chair next to the bed, looking like he wanted a change from lying down.

Since there was no other furniture in the room that wasn't draped with used clothing or other things, I opted to sit on his bed.

Normally, I would confide in Dylan about anything and everything, but for now, Spike had to do.

So I told him about Marc's unexpected visit, the threatening note left on my doorstep, and having enough of Marc and Nitro ignoring me completely.

"Someone threatened you?" Spike asked, furrowing his brows.

"That's the only thing you got from everything I've told you?" I demanded.

"I mean, sure, your brother and Nitro were jerks," Spike automatically said. "I don't know what to do about your brother, but I could punch Nitro in the face for you."

That made me smile. "Not too hard, okay? I kind of like his face," I pointed out.

Spike chuckled. "Yeah, that I know,” Spike replied.

I turned serious again.

"Spike, was I...childish for running away? I knew I was," I said with a bitter laugh. "Why did I even ask that question?"

"Hey, Tommy? You're being too hard on yourself," Spike said. "If things get too tough, I might do the same. You've been through a lot in the past."

"Yeah, but I can't always use that excuse," I muttered, feeling guilty all of a sudden. "Marc and Nitro must be worried sick about me by now."

"Nah, they'll get over it," Spike assured me.

"I should offer you a drink. Forgot," Spike said, bending over a mini fridge next to him I hadn't noticed before.

He continued, "I don't get many visitors; usually, it's just Nitro."

"I'm sure you've been visited by your MC brothers since you got injured," I offered.

Spike scoffed. "Nah, only Nitro hangs out with me. The rest just tolerates me. Anyway, back to that note. Do you have any idea who it is?" Spike asked.

I pondered his question, but my mind came up blank.

"After Whizz, Nitro, and Marc got rid of Hicks and his core team, the remaining members fled, but I don't see any of them risking the MC or Nitro's wrath for revenge," I said.

"No?" Spike asked.

I shook my head. "Those guys were cowards, hired guns," I explained. “None of them were really loyal to Hicks.”

"Could be someone who was close to Hicks, maybe a close friend or family member?" Spike suggested.

I was about to dismiss that thought, but I didn't. Spike might have a point there.

Hicks avoided talking about anything personal with his men or with me, but even monsters had people who cared if they were gone, right?

Spike and I discussed more theories. At one point, Spike even sweetly brought up dinner for us—sandwiches and fries.

A knock came on the door while we were in the middle of eating. Nitro poked his head in the room.

I didn't know why but I was more than glad to see him.

This was silly. Just moments ago all I wanted to do was get away from Marc and him.

I awkwardly rose to my feet and hastily rubbed the grease from my mouth.

I could also see my brother over Nitro's shoulder, shuffling in the corridor.

"Hey," Nitro said, but his gaze was solely focused on me.

"Get out, me and my new bestie are talking," Spike joked.

Nitro narrowed his eyes all of a sudden as he stomped into the room and walked right towards me.

"Whose clothes are you wearing?" Nitro demanded, tugging at my shirt and sniffing at it.

I batted his fingers away. "Calm down, you over-possessive bear. Spike loaned me some clothes. That's all," I said.

"He could've gone to my room and grabbed some of mine instead," Nitro muttered.

"What? Nitro, he's still recovering. You can't expect him to do that," I argued, although I guiltily had the same thought earlier.

"Tommy, glad you're fine," Marc said, entering the room as well.

"Party poopers," Spike pointed out. "I see you two have figured things out?" I asked.

"Sorry for earlier," Nitro told me. "I let my anger get the better of me. So did Marc."

"What he said," Marc told me. "Tommy, I'm sorry for going off at you like that without listening to your side of the story. Won't happen again."

"It better or Big Brother Spike's going to knock some heads," Spike said.

Marc looked at Spike with distaste. "Who the heck are you?" Marc asked.

"Someone who officially elected himself as Tommy's adopted big brother," Spike said with a grin.

I looked at Spike. "Thank you for listening and letting me hang out with you," I said.

"Anytime, Tommy," he said with a wink.

Nitro, Marc, and I finally left Spike to his rest.

"You should stay with me for a little while, until we sort this matter out," Nitro said, pulling out the folded note from his jacket pocket.

He looked at me, gauging my response. I let out a deep breath.

The selfish part of me wanted to tell Nitro I'd be fine on my own, but then my gaze lingered on my bite mark on his neck.

It wasn't just my life at risk now, but also his.

"Yes, that would be a good decision," I said.

Nitro let out a sigh of relief. Annoyingly, so did Marc.

"I think I'll stick around Moon Burrow for a few days as well," Marc said, his words catching me off guard. "I'll be in your apartment."

"Wait, what?" I asked, my brows furrowing in confusion.

"Bear with it," Nitro whispered in my ear. "He was really worried about you, and honestly, he's kind of needy."

"I can hear you two perfectly," Marc grumbled, clearly not pleased with being discussed like he wasn't present.

I let out a breath, realizing there was no getting rid of my brother easily.

Despite the initial surprise and a touch of annoyance, I began to see the silver lining in Marc's unexpected stay.

It presented a unique opportunity for us to catch up and work out the lingering issues from before.

Perhaps this could be a chance for us to strengthen our bond as brothers.

Besides, in the midst of the recent threats and uncertainties, having family close by felt like a comforting reassurance.

So, I eventually handed Marc the key to my apartment.

"Okay, here's my key," I told my brother. "Now go away, and we'll talk tomorrow."

“I hear you,” Marc said, his gruff exterior momentarily softening. "Thanks, Tommy."

"That was considerate of you," Nitro told me once Marc left and we headed to his room.

Our room, I silently corrected. I wagged a warning finger at him.

"Don't start, I'm not completely happy with you either, mate."

"Then I'll just have to make it up to you...in bed," Nitro said, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.

I couldn't help but laugh. Nitro's warm fingers enveloped mine, and he gently tugged me, leading the way back to his bedroom.

We made it past his door and then we were all over each other. I let out an impatient growl as I fumbled for my clothes.

Nitro let out an amused chuckle, which didn’t help one bit.

The moment Nitro placed his strong, callused hands on my body, I was a goner.

He yanked me close, slanting his hungry mouth over mine.

The familiar hate and taste of him washed down my mouth. I couldn’t get enough of him.

He edged me towards the bed, kissing me relentlessly. Nitro deepened the kiss and I sucked down on his tongue.

“I’m crazy about you, Tommy,” he murmured after releasing my lips. “Not get on the bed.”

Hearing the firm authority in his voice sent a shiver of anticipation down my spine. I crawled into his sheets.

I didn’t need to ask how he wanted me, I simply knew.

Positioning myself at the edge of the bed, I got on all fours. Nitro stood behind me but he didn’t enter me right away.

Instead, he ran his hand down my spine, making me shudder. Nitro touched me like he owned me, and in a way, he did.

I had willingly surrendered my body and heart to him and had absolutely no regrets.

“Take me, Nitro,” I murmured. “Help me forget about today.”

“Your wish is my command, mate,” he answered and that made me laugh.

I parted my legs wider as Nitro pushed one, then two digits inside me. He didn’t need to prep me for long, because I was so ready for him.

Once Nitro deemed me ready, he nudged his thick cock inside me. I gasped, clawing at the sheets as Nitro entered me in one swift thrust.

My mate felt so big, so perfect inside me.

Nitro soon banished the initial ache of his entry, as he pumped in and out of me with steady and slow strokes.

Soon enough, we lost ourselves in each other.

I forgot all about the creature that attacked Dylan and was targeting me. My past no longer seemed to matter.

I silently marvelled at our bodies were a perfect fit. Each time Nitro entered me, pressure built inside me.

My balls tightened against my body.

Nitro sheathed himself inside me one more time. I cried out softly as I came, emptying my balls.

After several thrusts, Nitro climaxed, filling me with his seed.

I collapsed on the sheets as he drew out of me. Nitro kissed me quickly on the mouth before excusing himself.

He didn’t disappear for long. Nitro returned with a towel in hand.

After cleaning us both, he slipped into bed with me, bringing me close to his warm chest. I closed my eyes momentarily.

Sex between us was mind-blowing but I also thoroughly enjoyed what came after.

“Feel better?” Nitro asked me, stroking my hair.

“Much better,” I said, feeling completely satisfied.

“Do you forgive me for earlier?” Nitro asked.

It seemed my answer was important to him so I opened my eyes again and looked at Nitro’s gold flecked eyes.

“I do,” I said.

“Good,” he said with a smile, then kissed the top of my head. “Go to sleep, Tommy. Tomorrow’s a brand new day.”
