-NORTH-

I'M FROZENon the spot, eyes wide as Becki leans in. What do I do? Do I let her kiss me? I don't think I want her to kiss me, it feels wrong, but I can't push her away can I? What would I say?

She lets out a sigh as her lips meet mine, and I'm staring cross eyed at her face barely an inch away.

But our lips barely brush when she turns away suddenly and looks back over her shoulder, something drawing her attention. I look up, following her gaze, to see all six-foot-five of Malcolm glaring down at us like a demon summoned straight from hell.

I jerk back. My arm shoots out, the glass next to me goes flying, and the gloopy remnants of the caramel shake splatter across the table, up my chest, and across my face.

For a split second Malcolm's glare cracks and he looks like he's going to laugh, but then his face hardens again. His dark eyes are wild, he looks manic.

Gloop drips off my chin and stains my already ruined top, and I just sit there staring at him with my mouth open like a damn idiot, my face heating to the temperature of the sun.

"Malcolm," I say.

"North, I need to talk to you," Malcolm says, his voice pitched low and dangerous.

The heat intensifies and moves downward as the rumble of his voice grounds straight into my cock.

I open my mouth, but Becki interrupts me, her voice almost as dangerous as his. "We're kind of in the middle of something here."

A muscle in Malcolm's jaw jumps, but he doesn't look at her, keeping his molten eyes pinned on me. "North. Now."

I shudder as my body reacts to his tone, all of my blood heading south. Without waiting for a response, he turns and walks away, heading for the door that leads to the restroom.

Becki turns on me. "What the hell is he doing here?"

"I don't know," I say, pushing myself to my feet.

"Hey where are you going?"

"I have to go. I'll be right back," I say, getting up to go after him as his wide back retreats. I squeeze out of the booth past her.

"What? North!"

"Sorry," I say.

I follow Malcolm. How can I not?
