I find him sitting at the bar, nursing a glass of scotch. "Long time, no see."

The bartender knows me and brings me my normal crown. I'm a sucker for it. "Thank you."

I take a sip and catch him staring at me. "Is something on my face?" Probably some leftovers of Lily.

"Yeah, the fucking the smile."

"Oh, yeah. I met someone. Her name is Lily."

"And is Lily at your house right now?"

"Sure is. Had to take care of her before I left, so sorry for being a little late."

"That is something that you should never apologize for... and fuck, you are lucky. I haven't been able to find anyone."

"It's a little different with her being fifteen years younger than me. She hasn't ever experimented, but fuck is she willing, and I can't wait to see what's in store for us."

Alec put down his beer and looks at me. "You're not kidding, are you? Damn, man. You've been single for so long. I'm happy for you, but, wow. Fifteen years?"

I shrug. "What can I say? We connected. I'm thrilled."

He smiles, but it is tinged with a hint of envy. "So, she's an anomaly in love?"

"You could say that."

"Tell me about her," he says, leaning closer and resting his arms on the bar. "She must be something special."

"She's special. Open and willing to try new things. Very confident and learning how to express her desires. The best part is she can hold an intelligent conversation. I don't have to dumb things down when talking to her about work."

Alec nods and grins. "Sounds like my kind of woman. Where did you meet?"

"We ran into each other at a coffee shop. She didn't have her debit card, so I paid for it, and then we ran into each other again, getting stuck in an elevator... fate threw us together."

He shakes his head. "Damn, man. I'm jealous. Does she have any friends that you could set me up with?"

"She has a roommate around the same age as her who I believe is single."

Alec grins. "Perfect! Set me up."
