Chapter eight

Kai

F rigid water runs down my body, and a shiver wracks through me.

If I’m going to keep up this act and make Lea believe I’m really unaffected by her, I need all the help I can get. Frankly, I should start worrying about the water bill a bit more because I see a lot of ice-cold showers in my future.

By the time I make it out of the shower and make it over to Lea’s room, she’s already got everything set up.

When she peers up to meet my gaze, she seems a lot calmer than when I first got home.

“Hey, perfect timing,” she says, beaming at me. “Before we get started, we need to double-check that you’re gonna have enough room to keep your face out of the shot without accidentally knocking anything over. So would you mind testing it out for me?”

I cough into my fist, clearing my throat before I can even try to answer. “Yeah, uh, no problem.”

It is very much a problem.

I position myself at the end of the bed, dodging the tripod she has the camera set up on, and she scoots to the very end, opening the screen on her laptop to a full-screen view of what the camera is about to be focused on. When she scoots her ass to the end of the bed, angling her center at the camera, what she does next nearly stops my goddamn heart.

She extends her long, toned legs into the air before dropping them to either side of the bed in a full split.

“Jesus fucking Christ,” I choke out. Her eyes glint with mischief, and the little smirk she’s wearing goes straight to my cock.

So much for that cold shower.

“Like what you see?” she muses.

My breath gets lodged, and this time, I manage to choke down the cough threatening to give me away. I have the next hour to convince both of us that this is just a business exchange, but when she leans back on her elbows, pushing her perky little tits out, I know I’m a goner.

I’ll be thinking about this for the rest of my goddamn life.
