RIVER OF TIME
LIVVIE
W e waved goodbye to River from the porch of Blake’s house, seeing him safely off with his aunts for dinner. I held no qualms about it. Completely different situation, compared to when he was left in Spence’s care inadvertently by Nancy.
I turned to Blake and teased. “I’m ready to hold hands on the swing now.”
“Really?” He arched an eyebrow at me, while I bit my bottom lip.
“No. Take me to bed, Blake.”
“Yahoo, baby,” he yipped, and suddenly I was lifted into his arms and carried inside. He set me down and locked the door, and it was on between us. We stripped away every layer of our costumes and clothing from our bodies except my black top, which he questioned when I wouldn’t let him.
I squirmed removing my bra underneath of the covering, while delivering the excuse I’d thought up at the party. “Just a little shy. You know, my body changed so much after having River.”
“Darlin’, trust me when I say this. Whether you’ve noticed or not, I’ve studied your body every chance I could, every day at Aunt Minnie’s?—”
“I thought you were only there for the cinnamon rolls,” I quipped.
“Those, too, obviously.” He laughed. “Olivia, your body is perfect for me. And I intend to get my hands on every curve of you.”
“Humor me, then. The top stays on. Eventually, if you’re a good boy, it might come off,” I grinned, fluttering my eyelids. I had no idea how long I could keep this charade up, or if at some point, I could trust him with my secrets and not lose him forever. I went from trying to keep him away, worried what might happen if we started something up, to desperately needing him, yearning for him to be a part of our lives. All the while, the past haunted me. What was I thinking?
He lifted and carried me to his huge king-sized bed like I weighed nothing. Setting me down gently in the center, he hovered over me.
I tempted him with my lips and tongue on his pecs and nipples, gliding over the ridges of his bulging muscles with my fingertips, not only to distract him, but because I needed him. “Oh, Blake, take me. You ignited a fire between us in the storage room at Minnie’s. I’ve been burning ever since. Like I need a big rescue man with a huge hose to fill me up.”
I snorted at my silliness and he joined in. “I’ll give you a big hose, baby, but you have to promise me that will be the end of the first responder jokes.”
“Deal.” I liked how we could tease and about a million other things about him. The more time I spent with him, the hotter our chemistry burned.
He pursued me, dragging his lips down to my clit, getting me so worked up and wet between his mouth and his fingers, taking turns. Every time, bringing me right to the edge, then refusing my release, until I cried out, “Please. Enough, Blake. I need you now. Please.”
“Good girls who beg get everything they want.” He lifted and claimed my lips, letting me lick and suck and taste myself on him.
He reached into a drawer by the bed and produced a silver packet. I lifted on my elbows as he tore it open in haste. “Not so fast. Nice and slow. Let me see your…fire hose.”
“Gladly,” he growled, his gaze smoldered. Kneeling on the bed, he handled his cock with such expertise, stroking from base to tip, growing longer and harder with each pass. I sat up and offered my mouth for the pre-cum, eliciting a hiss from him as I sucked. “Careful. I’m just as on edge as you.”
“Then take me Blake. Make me feel whole again, because I think a part of me has been missing ever since we were first together.” I leaned back, ready for him and to reacquaint our bodies.
He sheathed himself, then lined up with me, wetting the tip through my folds. As he entered me, I sunk my teeth into his shoulder. He stretched me to my limits, his movements slow and deliberate, each thrust sending waves of pleasure through my body.
“You’re perfect,” he growled between breaths, the sound of his voice thick with pleasure.
My nails dug into his back as I urged him on, needing more and more of him with every passing moment. “Harder,” I moaned, my body writhing beneath him as he pounded into me with increasing intensity. The bed shook with each forceful movement, adding to the intense sensations coursing through me.
He pulled out almost entirely before plunging back in, hitting just the right spot inside and driving me wild. My back arched off the bed as I cried out for more, lost in the ecstasy of our bodies reaching the summit together.
Then he slowed down, teasing me with long, sensual strokes, strumming my clit with his fingers, and sucking my nipple with his mouth, taking me even higher until stars entered my vision. My body shook, and he demanded, whispering into my ear, “Be a good girl and say my name when you come.”
I did, moaning “Blake,” over and over as a burst of pure delight spread throughout my body. Even better than the first time together. In one final powerful movement, he crashed into me, grunting his release, shaking the bed like an earthquake had hit the tiny town around us.
He collapsed on top of me, leaving us both breathless. When he rolled off, he brought me with him, my ear to his chest, hearing his strong heartbeat. I laid half across him as we held onto each other tightly. I wanted a fresh start when I arrived in Kissing Springs, but never did I imagine running into Blake again and fanning the flames of something we’d started long ago.
After resting a while, he said, “There’s something I’ve always wondered.”
I flinched, worried he’d ask about my family or Chicago or anything else I didn’t want him to know.
“Why did you name our son River? Which I love, by the way. But it’s unique. Is there a story behind it?”
Now that, I didn’t mind sharing at all. I lifted up to see his face as I told him, and fingered the locket Nancy had given me a few years prior. It used to hold a photo of my mother, but once River came along… “Not a story, but a poem. I heard it once, and a line always stuck with me, about the river of time washing away all sins. In so many ways, having River felt like a brand new start for me. Like I could leave all the bad behind. So the name fit.”
“What was so bad about your life before?”
Crap. I walked into that one.
“I’m sorry. I’m not ready to talk about it.” He sighed, and I reminded him, “You said I didn’t have to.”
“I know and I meant it, sweet pea. But you can tell me anything, okay? Trust me. No matter what happened before you met me, I would never judge you. We all have trials in life, things we have to overcome. We do the best we can, learn from it, and we try to lead a good life. That’s all I want for you. A better life. So, like I said before, I’ll wait forever if that’s how long it takes for you to trust me with your past.”
I hugged him tightly again. “Why do you have to be so good to me?”
He smirked. “I know, it’s a shocker, right? I grumble at others all day long, but the minute I see you and River, it’s like I melt. You’re good for me.” His cock twitched below.
“Uh, I don’t think you’ve melted yet.”
“Nope, hard again. Time for round two.”
“Oh, my, Blake. So soon?”
“By my calculations, we have another hour before they return. So lay back and relax, sweet pea, and take more of my cock like a good girl.”
I couldn’t help but smile out of pure satisfaction. This was where I belonged, consumed by him in every way possible. Only one word could describe this feeling. Bliss. I wished I could bottle it up and keep it with me forever. But fears and doubts crept in over the remaining time we had together. What if something happened that would take all of this newfound happiness away from me in a heartbeat?
