Epilogue McKenna

Two Years Later

" P lease tell me you did not give our six-month-old baby a tattoo." I point at the adorable lifelike tattoo of a mermaid on our baby's tummy as Creed blows raspberries on it, making our son Creed Junior, or CJ for short, giggle his sweet little baby laugh.

"It's a Creed original, just like he is." Creed smiles at our firstborn in a way that makes my ovaries burst. If I hadn't just found out I was pregnant with our second child, that smile would have definitely gotten me pregnant.

"Creed." I cross my arms over my chest and raise an eyebrow. I know he didn't give our baby a tattoo, but I'm curious to see what he says about his latest project.

"Settle down, Siren. I got the first shipment of the temporary tattoos I designed that are hypoallergenic and safe for any skin type—even babies."

"That's great!" I throw my arms around Creed and CJ in a hug.

I know how hard Creed has worked on this project. Over the years, he's had customers change their minds once they have the printed design on their skin before Creed can actually start the tattooing process. Getting a tattoo is a big commitment, and it always sounds like a good idea when you're on vacation, but buyer's remorse is real. This way, if someone isn't one hundred percent sure about getting a tattoo, Creed can now offer them a temporary alternative. Or if a child is with their parents and wants a tattoo, they can get an amazing, realistic temporary tattoo. It's a win-win for everyone.

"You really like the idea?" My sweet teddy bear of a husband needs me to be his rock as much as I need him to be mine.

"Yes, it's a brilliant idea." I kiss each of them on the cheek, knowing it won't be much longer and our family will have a new addition.

"I've already had six offers from other tattoo shops wanting to offer my temporary tattoo designs." Creed beams with a newfound pride in his accomplishments—a pride I've always had for him. "I was thinking of using the money from the temporary tattoos to open a foundation in Love Beach for underprivileged children where they can learn to draw or sing or do anything they have dreamed of doing but have been held back by lack of funds to support their dreams." His eyes shine with excitement, reminding me once again of the boy I fell in love with—the boy I still love.

He has done so much for me—I would do anything for him. He arranged his schedule to join me on tour, working it out with his business partner, Serena so that at least one of them is at the shop while the other is on tour with their spouse. Creed isn't the only tattoo artist who fell for a Rockstar.

"I love the idea." I kiss him on the lips, "And I love you and CJ. And I love the new baby I'm carrying." I step back and place my hands on my still-flat stomach. "I just found out today at my doctor's appointment."

Creed's eyes light up, and he turns towards CJ. "You hear that, buddy. You're going to be a big brother."

CJ replies with spit bubbles, making us both laugh.

Creed pulls me back into his arms, "I love you, McKenna."

"I love you too." I give him my best flirtatious look and say, "I think it's time for CJ's nap, and you know what they say—parents should nap when the baby naps," I bat my eyelashes at Creed, "But I'm not feeling very sleepy."

"Yes, ma'am." Creed smiles, grabs my hand, and leads me to the nursery, where he lays CJ down for his nap. Bless his little heart if CJ doesn't fall asleep as soon as his little head hits the mattress, giving his mommy and daddy a few hours of adult alone time.

It seems Creed and I are making up for lost time, having babies so close in age, but I wouldn't want it any other way.
