CADE

T he boys left after their celebratory drink. Looking around, I realized the house had been filled with anything and everything we would need to get through the next few days.

I wouldn't have to go shopping for anything. I'd have to call the girls and thank them profusely for their efforts.

I suppose being the one in the family with the most powerful generational gift wasn't all that bad. Usually. Some days. Certainly not now.

"So, do we call Sharon back?" I asked Jay.

"Oh, hell no. We're going to have to give her time to mull this over. She knows what's at stake. I'm a little peeved at her for not telling me about her family's inheritable traits. But she'll come to see reason. We have to give it time." Jay swallowed the last of his beer, which had gone down slowly. "I hate beer. Is there more wine? I need wine."

I laughed, then pulled out two glasses from the cupboard and grabbed a fresh bottle, before pouring us each a glass. Then we sat next to each other on the newly arrived soda.

"Your family is kind of amazing. Like, who does this?" Jay swiped his arm across the very full room.

It was chaos. Furniture everywhere, haphazardly packed boxes and shopping bags filled in various gaps between items. We couldn't see the floor. It would take me at least a week to get through all of this, but that wouldn't be my focus. Sam had to come first.

"The Ivanovs do. I know, they can be overwhelming." I threw my arm around Jay's shoulder and urged him to cuddle into me.

He responded, getting close.

"Still, I like it. Feels like you've got support behind you. Like you're never alone."

"That, too, can be a bad thing. One of the reasons I came out here. Less family, less people, less ghosts. Not what happened," I said.

"No, but…" Jay stared at me, his eyes saying a thousand things, but one thing very clearly.

"You're a horn dog." I grinned.

"True. But this place is safe. Sam is asleep, thank God, and we have to wait on Sharon." Jay said.

"What are you suggesting?"

Jay stood up, grabbed my hand and tugged. "Let's go have some adult fun time." He waggled his eyebrows.

Who was I to question?

"I guess first things, first. We should have the conversation ." Jay sat on the bed, cradling his glass of wine.

"Okay, what conversation is that?" I replied, then took a seat next to him. I sat close. His thick muscled thighs touched mine, their heat unmistakable.

"I know we've tossed around the word boyfriend, but, you know, what does that mean, what expectations are there? Are we dating, or are we exclusive? All those good things."

"Okay. I'm game."

"So?" Jay raised both eyebrows and took a sip of his wine, staring at me over the rim of the glass.

"You're gonna make me start?" I chuckled.

"Absolutely." Jay laughed as well.

"Hmmm, okay. Well, the word ‘boyfriend' to me is kind of a commitment. And that's not a bad thing, but I think we're still getting to know each other. I might be a touch more comfortable with the ‘we're dating', more than ‘boyfriend.' Does that sound okay?" I asked, hesitantly. I really liked Jay, and I didn't want to put him off, but at the same time I wanted to recognize that we got thrown together rapidly. I wanted us to take the time to get to know each other. I wanted to be sure we were compatible.

"Yeah, it does." Jay smiled. "I can get a little overzealous. I appreciate someone who will keep it real. Bring me back to earth, so to speak."

"Happy to do that for you, and for us," I said. "How about exclusivity? I don't typically date more than one person at a time, but you are bisexual. I don't want to limit you?—"

"Nope. I'll stop you right there. That's not how that works for me. If I'm interested in someone, then that's usually it. I tend to focus all my energy into that one person." Jay put a hand on my thigh, then looked up at me with puppy-dog eyes.

It melted my heart, and at the same time set a fire in my groin.

"Okay, then let me ask you this. Monogamous, I'm guessing?"

"I mean, yes?" Jay's voice lilted a little, which was definitely an open-ended response.

"Explain. You said you tended to focus in on one person." I smiled. I didn't often have this chat with potential new dates. So many people found it far too awkward and avoided this, and even now, my nerves were somewhat on edge. I liked knowing where we stood with each other, but this could spell disaster if our views didn't line up.

"Well, I'm not opposed to a threesome or a complete and total night of debauchery if the situation happens."

"Why Jay McClaren, you?—"

Jay raised a finger, "Now, now, no slut shaming." He giggled.

"Not what I was going to do. You've made me instantly hard. Yeah, absolutely. If we want to invite others in, that's okay, as long as we're together for the fun and games."

"Hard, huh?"

I nodded.

"Can I feel?"

I leaned back and rested on my elbows. My glass of wine had turned into an obstacle.

Jay placed his palm on top of my jeans, right over top of the now prominent bulge and pushed against my erection. He manhandled my excitement, which of course only led to more combustion and heat.

"Can I take it out?"

"I'm pretty sure it wants to come out and play." I glanced at my glass. Now I needed to get rid of it.

"Here," Jay extended his hand, offering to take my wine away from me. I gulped one more mouthful before relinquishing it.

Jay took the adult beverage away from me and set both of our glasses on the nightstand, yet another addition, thanks to the Ivanov family.

Before I could exhale, Jay knelt before me, in between my legs, pushed me back, and then started to undo my belt. He popped the top button on my jeans, and slowly pulled the zipper down.

It took some gentle tugging, but he had me exposed to the open air quickly and then fisted my bone which had me rolling my eyes into the back of my head. He was very good at maintaining the right amount of grip but surprised me when he swallowed the entire length, held it in his throat for several seconds, then pulled off.

He continued to fondle me, his eyes studying my cock. His tongue would lash out and lick the underside, or swirl around the head. He took the time to feel me, watching my reactions as he tried different motions. Was he trying to determine what I responded to best?

He was attentive.

And more interested in what got me off. That earned him a lot of extra points.

"Your cock is beautiful, and you taste amazing." He swallowed me again, and I let out a little groan. He pulled off a second time. "I think I know what we're going to do." Jay stood and began undressing. "Get naked, bear-man."

"Yes, sir."

I obeyed.

Standing before Jay completely naked didn't induce emotions of shyness or awkwardness. And seeing him exposed in front of me was a beautiful sight. His body was a gloriously chiselled work of art. He reached out to me and ran his fingers through my furred torso. "I love that. I will never get tired of petting you."

"Noted. No shaving."

"Better not!" He slapped my hard dick in punishment for such a statement.

It didn't hurt. In fact, it kinda felt good. "Mmm." My cock bobbed as it pulsated in response to the smack.

"Oh, you like that?" Jay swiped at it again.

"And nipples. Tweak them, bite them, pull them. I love that. Makes me leak."

"Noted! Okay, I know you like oral, and we both have a thing for not wasting come on towels or rags, or… So, I'm going to lie on the bed, and I want you to throat fuck me."

"You won't choke? I mean, I'm not small. Neither are you." The idea, though, had me leaking. A string of pre-come had drooled out.

Jay had already positioned himself. Lying on his back, with his head off the side of the bed, he pulled me forward and licked off the excitement from the tip of my rod.

"Nope, I won't choke…" Jay stroked me, "well, maybe a little, but I'll be okay."

He opened his mouth and signalled for me to enter.

We took it slow, very slow. But within a few minutes, I had a slow and steady rhythm going. I could see his neck bulge when I pushed in, his throat taking me in, the warm flesh hugging my hard cock. It was heavenly.

Jay relaxed, and I kept up the pace. Slow and steady. I could hear him coordinating his breathing so that he caught his breath as I pulled out, and each time I pushed back in, he stroked his fat, thick cock a little faster.

The steady thrusting became difficult. I wanted to speed up so badly. My knees wobbled and my thigh muscles twitched. The pace kept me from orgasming too fast, and yet the warm wet of Jay's mouth, and the heat from his tongue became almost painful. Too much delight in one moment carried over into the next where I wanted more.

My balls pulled up in excitement, signalling the finality of our playtime, and that climax would happen soon. It didn't take long for Jay to register that, and he picked up his strokes on his own cock.

My next few thrusts were a little deeper and a little more fevered. Jay hummed with satisfaction…and that sent me tumbling over the edge.

I shot my load, and I could hear Jay cough a little, even though he was expecting it. My head swam with desire and relief. Jay gagged a little as he struggled to keep my come contained.

Not wanting Jay to orgasm by his own hand, as soon as I gathered up my strength, I pulled out and scampered over his body. Gripping his thick tool, I took over the stroking, and then returned the favour by swallowing him. That was quite a feat as his beer-can cock stretched my lips. As I pumped, I felt Jay's hands wriggle up to my ass. He spread my cheeks, lifting his head to begin tonguing my hole.

He moaned as his tongue slid inside, and his hips thrust quick jerks into my mouth. I watched as his big low-hanging nuts pulled up, and I knew what was next.

A mouthful of delicious Jay juice.

Keeping my mouth wrapped around his cock, I waited until he began to soften, then pulled off, swallowing his load in one gulp.

I swung my leg over, flopped down on my back, and let the pillowy mattress absorb my weight, but before I got too comfortable, Jay piled on top of me, wrapping his arms around my chest and snuggling in.

"You're amazing." Jay said, smiling with his eyes closed. He was a content puppy.

"Back at ya." I smiled as I wrapped my arms around his chest. We lay like that for a long time. I nearly dozed off, when Jay spoke.

"Fuck me?"

"Not gonna happen now, but maybe when I can find the condoms I bought."

"I haven't been with anyone in well over a year, and all my tests have been negative."

"A year?" That shocked me. "I would never last a year."

"I didn't think so, either, but then it got busy around here. What about you?"

"Last set of bloodwork indicated I was in the clear."

"So, we don't really need condoms unless you feel more comfortable with them?"

"No, I trust you." As I said it, I slid my hand down to his cheeks, ran my finger into the crack and found his hole. I fingered it, teasing him.

"Holy hell, bear-man. That feels amazing. Go deeper." Jay started kissing me as his butt ground down, asking for more penetration.

We didn't have to wait too much longer before we were both hard as nails again and then proceeded to mount each other in turn, enjoying the sensation of each of us buried deep in the other.

Truthfully, at the end of our romp, I was quite content to call Jay my boyfriend. No one I had dated before had been this good in bed, or this attentive, or adventurous. Frankly, I couldn't imagine anything being any better.

The next morning, we awoke a little sore, very sticky, but completely satisfied. We could hear cutlery against dishes and surmised that Sam had awoken before us and had helped himself to breakfast.

I twirled my fingers through Jay's thick head of hair as he laid his head on my chest. I stroked his back as well, lightly, with just my fingertips.

"That feels nice." Jay cooed.

"Thank you for last night," I said.

"Was good, wasn't it?" Jay asked, then kissed one of my nipples before pulling himself upright.

"God, was it ever."

Jay's phone went off. He snatched it from the bedside table and glanced at the device.

"It's Sharon."

"Oh…well, answer it!"

Jay nodded, then pushed the green button, before holding the phone to his ear. I snuggled in so I could listen.

"Hi, Sharon."

"Morning. I suppose he's right there."

"He is. Say hi, bear-man."

"Hi, bear-man." I spoke toward the phone.

"Oh my God, you two are gross." Sharon's tone of voice indicated she wasn't impressed. But there was no hint of derision or shame. "Look, I've thought about what you asked. There is a way to do it. I can get the supplies, although it could cause a lot of questions if I get caught."

"So then, don't get caught," Jay said helpfully.

"Do you want my help or not?" Sharon blurted out, irritated.

"Yes, of course we do," I said.

"Fine, I have one human heart that I extracted from a body last night in the morgue. The medical examiner owes me several favours and wasn't going to ask questions. A good thing because tampering with a dead body is highly illegal. The deceased has already gone off to the funeral home to be cremated, and there was no family listed on the forms, so hopefully this macabre request of yours won't be noticed by anyone. As for making Cade dead… I know how we're going to do that."

"Sharon, thank you. I know this is all difficult."

"No, I don't think you understand how weird, traumatic, and crazy this plan of yours is, but if it's gonna help Sam, then I'll do it. That is the only reason I'm even entertaining this ridiculousness."

"When can you be ready?" I asked.

"The sooner the better. An extracted organ isn't going to last long." She had a good point.

"This afternoon?" Jay glanced at me, and I nodded.

"That works. Where?"

"We're going to have to trap a ghost, so let's go back to your place." I pointed at Jay. "Maybe we can get lucky. I have a glyph we can use that will ensnare a spirit. And with Olivia trailing Sam around, it wouldn't surprise me if she fell into our trap. She's too angry at this point to be discerning of wards she would usually stay away from. I can go over to your place early and make sure it's all set up."

"This afternoon it is then. Say around four o'clock?"

"Make it five. It'll be close to getting dark. We'll want it dark. Better access to the ghost world after the sun goes down."

"I guess living in the northern hemisphere and it being winter is actually a boon. Not something you could normally say," Sharon chimed in.

"All right then, it's settled. See you at five, my place," Jay said and disconnected the call. I stared at Jay as he lowered the phone. He stared back at me. "You really going to go through with this?"

"I am. This is for Sam, and all the ghosts. Less angry ghosts in the end, hopefully. That gives me a break too."

"I am scared," Jay whispered as he reached for my hand and squeezed it.

"I am terrified." Sweat rolled down my spine as the hair on the back of my neck rose.

I was going to die today.

And there were no guarantees that I would come back, that we would summon a reaper, or even if we did manage to do so, that they would act as a tutor for Sam.

There were too many what-if scenarios, and I didn't like my odds.

Not in the least.

"For Sam," I said.

"You're a good man, Cade. For Sam." Jay looked away momentarily, then turned his head back toward me. "You listen to me, bear. You do what you need to do, for obvious reasons, but it better be stuck in your brain somewhere that you need to come back to me. Understood?" He jabbed me in the chest.

"Understood."
