Chapter 20
Myla
Bowen and Silas returned home an hour after Gentry left. Bowen wrapped me in his arms when he walked through the door, and I relished the safety and comfort he offered. He curled his body around me like a shield. Smelling a Blood Moon wolf after all this time ignited fear I hadn’t known I still felt.
“Hey, sweet girl. How are you feeling?” Bowen asked.
“Like this is all my fault,” I admitted, inhaling his scent. “I know you’re going to tell me it’s not, but the pack wouldn’t be on Blood Moon’s radar if I never showed up.”
Bowen stiffened. His muscles bunched under my hands, and he grabbed my shoulders, leaning back to see my face. “You’re serious. You think this is your fault.”
Shame colored my cheeks.
“If it weren’t us, it would be someone else,” Silas said as he took my hand and guided me to the dining room table.
I slid into a chair, and Theron and Silas sat across from me and Bowen.
“We researched Alpha Kane. He’s unstable, to say the least. Raids, kidnapping, torture, slavery . . . the list goes on and on. Cruelty lives in him.” Silas held my gaze, imploring me to heed his words. “If some other Omega dared to escape, Blood Moon would have gone after another pack, but the result will always be the same because Kane is who he is.”
Bowen’s hand engulfed mine. “If anyone is to blame for this mess, it’s the males who use and abuse Omegas. They’re determined to treat them like property. It’s a side effect of the Black War and the Council. It has nothing to do with you choosing to protect yourself.”
“There is nothing we would change about finding you,” Theron said.
His dark, endless eyes filled with affection. His words blanketed my worries and made me think of things in a new light. Silas was right; even if I’d stayed with Blood Moon, another Omega would have eventually escaped. Alpha Kane got off on overpowering others and making the pack bigger.
A finger brushed against my nose, snapping me out of my thoughts.
“No more thinking, sweet girl,” Bowen said.
“Sorry, I can’t help it.”
“I bet I can fix that,” he said mischievously.
Seductive thoughts drifted through my mind. Desire flooded my body as I imagined how easily my mates could make me forget everything. It amazed me how comfortable I’d become with them. It felt like I jumped from distrust to certainty in a short amount of time, but the idea no longer scared me. Instead, it made everything feel right.
Bowen’s nostrils flared, and he leaned in, bringing his lips close to my ear. “I meant games, dirty girl.”
“Board games,” Theron clarified, smirking.
Silas headed to the cabinet, pulled out a stack of board games, and placed them on the table.
“Winner gets to eat Myla,” he said.
The space between my legs pulsed like a heartbeat. They were doing this on purpose, trying to distract me, and it was working.
“What if I win?” I asked breathlessly.
“Then you can do whatever you want to us.” Bowen softly kissed my lips, but it wasn’t nearly enough.
I let out a frustrated whine, and he laughed, breaking our contact and turning toward the games.
Silas stacked a colorful block tower impossibly high in the center of the table. The evening passed with good-spirited competition and laughter. The tension of the day’s events seemed to melt away as we delved into the world of strategy and chance, our spirits lifted by the simple joy of being together.
We teased each other with each attempt to pull a block from the structure, our banter filling the room with warmth and light. It was as if the weight of the world had lifted from my shoulders, replaced by the comforting presence of my mates. They made me feel like everything would be okay. Their shift toward normalcy was a balm to my soul, soothing my lingering doubts and fears.
We were continuing to live our lives despite the dangers threatening to uproot us, and I was lucky to have my unit.
“Looks like I’ll be the one feasting tonight,” Silas teased, gesturing to his stack of color-coordinated blocks.
“It’s not over yet,” Theron said, his gaze serious as he studied what remained of the tower.
“Not by a long shot.” Bowen drummed his fingers on the table. “Besides, everyone knows Myla likes my tongue best.”
He winked at me, and I blushed.
“Wanna bet?” Silas said, his competitive streak rearing its head.
“Sounds like my kind of fun.” Bowen smirked. “What do you say, sweet girl? Ready to be our judge?”
Wicked thoughts filled my mind, but I played coy.
“I don’t know. It seems like it would be a hard thing to judge.”
“Oh, we’ll definitely be hard,” Bowen said as he swept his arm through the game pieces.
They scattered on the floor, and my heart raced as Silas lifted me onto the table. Theron, Bowen, and Silas surrounded me with predatory looks in their eyes. I sank my teeth into my lip in anticipation.
“Lift up,” Theron said.
I did without hesitation. Silas reached beneath my dress, hooked his fingers into my panties, and slid them down my legs.
Bowen pushed my thighs apart. “Don’t move.”
Cool air danced across my most intimate area, sparking the urge to wiggle my hips. Bowen and Theron pressed down on my knees, keeping me still.
“Focus, sweet girl. You’re the judge, remember?” Bowen said while Silas took his place between my legs.
“What’s the deciding factor?” I asked, keeping my eyes glued to Silas as his sensual mouth hovered above my core.
Games had never been so much fun.
“Whoever makes you come hardest wins,” Bowen said with a cocky smile.
Goddess, they were going to kill me—and I loved it.
I wanted them to devour my body and wring out as much pleasure as possible.
I stared at Silas through my lashes. “Good luck.”
His eyes flared at the challenge, and he dove between my thighs. His mouth was hot and hungry as he swept into my core, commanding my pleasure like a conqueror. My hips bucked against the pressure of Bowen’s and Theron’s hands as they held me in place.
“Silas, oh Goddess . . . that feels . . .” My words cut off as he sucked my clit.
“Damn, that looks good,” Bowen said, brushing my hair from my face. “Are you going to cream for me just as sweetly, Myla?”
Silas sucked harder, and I tipped over the edge, barreling into an orgasm.
He released me with an audible pop and licked his lips as he took Theron’s place.
“Delicious as always,” he murmured, giving my inner thigh a squeeze.
The bulge in his pants reinforced his desire. I looked at Bowen and saw that he was just as aroused.
A firm finger slid between my folds, drawing my attention to Theron.
“The sight of you all swollen and glistening makes me so fucking hard,” he growled.
He pressed slow, seductive kisses to my pussy, sipping and teasing until I was dripping. I surrendered to my desire, and my orgasm built like a rolling wave. In a matter of seconds, I cried out as it crashed over me.
I barely noticed Bowen and Theron switching places. Bowen lapped at my arousal and groaned. He used his tongue like his cock, fucking me without mercy and making my core clench around him. My thighs quivered, and fireworks exploded in my mind as he grazed his teeth against my clit.
I wasn’t going to make it, not with my body so thoroughly primed.
My climax was an ascension. Another earth-shattering release rippled through my body, and I squeezed my eyes shut. Boneless, I fell into a dark slumber.
“Coming along nicely, aren’t you girl?” Alpha Kane said as he assessed me.
I stood naked in his office as he inspected my body.
He’d been doing it every month since I turned seventeen. I was forced to undress for him and his inner circle, and it made me feel dirty each time—like spiders were crawling on my skin.
“How much longer do you think this one has?” his Head Enforcer said with a sneer.
“Hard to say,” the Alpha replied, keeping his eyes on me. “What do you think, girl? How much longer before you can take a good pounding?”
His inner circle laughed, but I stayed silent.
His stare hardened, and I shivered. “Or have you already been whoring for scraps?”
Before I could blink, the Alpha yanked me to the tips of my toes by my hair. My hands flew up, grabbing his thick wrists in a useless effort to dislodge him.
“Have you been letting males sniff around that virgin cunt? Or have you already traded it?”
“No!” I cried. “Please, Alpha Kane, I would never break the rules.”
The doors opened with a loud bang. The pack Beta walked in, dragging a bloodied male behind him.
No. Aiden.
Aiden was a male around my age. We’d never spoken because I wasn’t allowed to talk to anyone other than the females, but he occasionally snuck me food. They had probably caught him in the act.
The Alpha’s smirk turned vicious. “You remember him, don’t you?”
“No, I don’t know him.”
“Really? Because my Beta found him with you in the pantry the other night—alone.”
The Beta forced him to his knees in front of me and held one of his hands against the floor.
“Remember this lesson,” Alpha Kane said. “I’m the only one who can save you.”
He pulled out a knife and slammed it down, cutting Aiden’s pinky and ring finger clean off.
His screams pierced the air, and my cheeks grew wet with tears.
No one could save me.
I woke up with a gasp, looking left and right as my vision cleared. My heartbeat slowed as I realized I was in bed with my mates. Cool air hit my sweat-soaked back, sending chills down my spine.
Alpha Kane was coming, and I couldn’t bear the thought of my mates getting hurt. They didn’t believe I was the cause of this senseless war, but perhaps I could be the solution.
I would do whatever it took to keep them safe.
