June and her sisters are meeting with the president at Camp David in a few days, but tonight, we are having dinner with my family.

"Dinner will be ready in ten minutes. If you see your father in the den, let him know, please."

"Will do."

I take her hand again and show her my childhood home.

"This was your room?" she asks, smiling. It looks exactly as it did my senior year. Mom is a bit of a hoarder.

"Yes. I shared it with my brother Buck until he moved out."

"I haven't met him."

"You will."

"You ran cross country?" She's looking at my medals and trophies.

"I did."

"I didn't like team sports."

"Me either."
