GENEVA

T he first rays of the sun were casting a soft glow over the Duvall Estate. The morning air was crisp, carrying the scent of blooming magnolias, a signature fragrance of New Orleans. As they approached the guest house, a warm light from within beckoned them, the flickering flames of the fireplace dancing in the windows.

Stepping inside, they were met with a sight that took their breath away. Aunt Maeve, in her infinite wisdom and support of their blossoming love, had transformed the cozy space into a romantic haven. Geneva softly gasped as she took in the changes. Her beloved books and personal items had been carefully arranged in the sitting area, making the guest house feel like a true home. The big iron bed was adorned with silk sheets in a deep hunter green, her favorite color, and rose petals scattered across the plush duvet, their fragrance filling the air with a delicate sweetness.

"Aunt Maeve has outdone herself," Geneva whispered, her voice filled with emotion.

Ash pulled her close, his dark eyes sparkling with mischief. "She knows we needed a proper place to celebrate our victory and... other things." His voice dropped to a husky whisper as he leaned in to kiss her, his lips brushing against hers. Geneva responded eagerly, her hands sliding up his muscular back, reveling in the feel of his powerful body. They had faced danger together, and now, in this intimate setting, their passion was intensified by the bond they had formed.

With a gentle hand, Geneva guided Ash towards the bed, the flickering light from the windows casting shadows across his chiseled features. She slowly undressed him, her fingers deftly unbuttoning his shirt, revealing the taut muscles of his chest and stomach. Her breath caught at the sight of his lean, sculpted body, a masterpiece of strength and grace. Ash's breath quickened as Geneva's hands explored his torso, tracing the contours of his abs and the defined lines of his hips.

With a simple wave of her hand, Geneva removed her own clothing, leaving her standing naked before him. He took in her curvaceous form, with its soft curves and full breasts, licking his lips. He reached out, his fingers trailing along her collarbone, sending shivers of anticipation down her spine.

"You're so beautiful," he whispered, his voice hoarse with desire. "I want to touch every inch of you."

Geneva smiled, a sultry look in her green eyes. She took his hand and led him to the bed, where they lay down amidst the silk sheets and scattered rose petals. The warmth of the fireplace caressed their skin as they explored each other's bodies with eager hands and hungry mouths.

Ash's lips trailed down Geneva's neck, leaving a trail of kisses as he went. He gently cupped her breasts, his thumbs brushing over her hardened nipples, eliciting a soft moan from her. As he took one nipple into his mouth, sucking gently, Geneva arched her back, offering herself to him. His hands roamed lower, sliding beneath her lingerie, caressing the soft skin of her stomach and hips.

Geneva's body trembled with anticipation as Ash gently nudged her thighs apart. He kissed the sensitive skin on the inside of her thighs, his breath warm and tantalizing. As he reached her core, he paused, his breath tickling her damp curls. With a skilled tongue, he parted her folds, exploring her wetness and driving her wild with pleasure. Geneva's hips bucked involuntarily as he found her sweet spot, his tongue flicking and circling, sending waves of ecstasy through her body.

"Ash… " Geneva's words trailed off as she surrendered to a powerful orgasm, her body trembling and her cries filling the intimate space.

Ash continued his sensual assault, lapping at her essence, determined to bring her to the brink of pleasure again. As Geneva's body quivered, he positioned himself between her thighs, his hard length seeking entrance. With one smooth thrust, he filled her, their bodies becoming one in a perfect union.

Geneva wrapped her legs around his waist, pulling him deeper, as Ash began to move in a slow, deliberate rhythm. His eyes never left hers, holding her gaze as he professed his love with every stroke. The sight of him, his muscular body glistening with sweat, moving above her with such raw passion, was almost too much for Geneva to bear.

"You feel so good, Geneva," Ash groaned, his voice strained with desire.

Geneva's hands roamed over his back, her nails gently scraping his skin and marking him as hers. "I never want this to end."

Their pace quickened, their bodies moving in perfect harmony, driven by the intensity of their emotions and the raw pleasure they found in each other. As they neared the peak of ecstasy, Ash withdrew and flipped Geneva onto her hands and knees, her curvaceous form presented to him in a new, tantalizing way.

He entered her from behind, his hands gripping her hips, and began to thrust with renewed fervor. Geneva's breasts swayed with each powerful stroke, her nipples hardening further as pleasure surged through her. Ash's fingers found her clit, his skilled touch bringing her back to the brink of orgasm.

"Come for me," he urged, his voice thick with desire. "Let me feel you tighten around me."

Geneva's body exploded in a cascade of pleasure, her inner walls clenching around Ash's throbbing cock. With a deep groan, he followed her over the edge, his release hot and intense as he filled her with his essence.

They collapsed onto the bed, their hearts still racing, their bodies glistening with sweat and satisfaction. Ash pulled Geneva close, his arms wrapped tightly around her, and they lay in contented silence, their breathing slowly returning to normal.

"I've never felt this way before," Ash whispered, his lips brushing her hair. "You've shown me something I’d long ago thought I’d never see."

Geneva smiled, her heart overflowing with joy. "I feel the same, Ash. I’m pretty damn sure that together we can conquer any demon or darkness that comes our way."

As they lay entwined in each other's arms, the warm glow of the fireplace casting a soft light over their contented faces, they knew that their love was not just a fleeting passion, but a deep, unbreakable bond that would sustain them through any adventure that lay ahead.

Much later, Geneva woke to the soft light of morning filtering through the curtains, the warm weight of Ash’s arm draped protectively over her. For a moment, she lay still, allowing herself to revel in the rare sense of peace. His steady breathing was a comforting rhythm in the quiet room, and the heat from his body seeped into hers, grounding her after the chaos of the past few days.

The memories of their battle with Asmodeus, of navigating the Labyrinth and freeing the trafficked supernaturals, were still fresh, vivid images flashing behind her eyelids. But here, now, in this quiet moment, those dark thoughts seemed distant. The world outside would come crashing in soon enough, but for now, it was just the two of them.

Geneva shifted slightly, turning in Ash’s arms so she could see his face. He stirred, his eyes slowly fluttering open. When he met her gaze, a soft smile curved his lips, and something in her chest tightened. There was a vulnerability in his expression, a quiet tenderness that she had never expected from someone with his history.

"Morning," he murmured, his voice rough with sleep.

"Morning," she whispered back, her fingers tracing lightly over his jaw. For a long moment, they simply stared at each other, the silence filled with unspoken things. Her heart pounded as she wrestled with the flood of emotions that had been building between them. She couldn’t deny it any longer—what she felt for Ash went deeper than desire, deeper than the heat they had shared in their moments of passion.

It was love. She loved him.

The realization hit her with such force that it almost left her breathless. She had been fighting it, resisting the pull between them because it was easier to think that it was just the circumstances that had brought them together. But it wasn’t. It had never been just that.

“Ash...” she began, her voice trembling slightly. She didn’t know how to say it, how to express what she was feeling, but before she could finish, he reached out, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.

“I know,” he said softly, his thumb tracing the curve of her cheek.

Geneva’s breath caught in her throat, her heart hammering against her ribs. There was something raw in his eyes, something real. It was as though the walls he had spent so long building around himself were gone, and in their place was the man she had come to know—the man she had come to love.

“But you need to hear it. I love you,” she whispered, the words finally spilling out, her heart racing as she laid everything bare.

Ash’s eyes darkened with emotion, and for a moment, he simply stared at her, his fingers still gently caressing her cheek. Then he leaned in, his lips brushing hers in a soft, tender kiss that stole her breath away. When he pulled back, there was a softness in his expression that melted her completely.

“I love you, too,” he murmured, his voice filled with sincerity. “I didn’t think it was possible—not for me. But with you... everything’s different.”

Geneva smiled, her heart swelling as she pressed her forehead against his, savoring the warmth of the moment. “We’ve been through hell together,” she whispered. “But I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.”

He kissed her again, this time deeper, more urgent, and Geneva felt the rest of the world fall away. In this moment, nothing else mattered. Not the battles they had fought, not the dangers that still loomed on the horizon. It was just them, tangled in each other’s arms, their hearts finally laid bare.

But reality, as always, had a way of creeping back in.

A knock on the door shattered the quiet, and Geneva stiffened, reluctantly pulling away from Ash as her fae senses flared. There was a ripple of familiar energy behind the door—one that was unmistakable.

“Phoenix,” Geneva muttered under her breath, glancing at Ash with an apologetic smile. “Looks like peace and quiet won’t last long.”

Ash chuckled softly, though there was a glint of wariness in his eyes as he sat up, the sheets pooling around his waist. “Better see what she wants.”

Geneva slid out of bed, pulling on a loose shirt before opening the door. Phoenix stood in the doorway, her arms crossed, her expression tight with something between concern and irritation.

“Good morning to you too, sis,” Geneva greeted, though the tension in the air was palpable.

Phoenix gave her a once-over, her gaze flicking briefly toward Ash before she focused back on Geneva. “I just heard from Finn at the Thorny Rose,” she said, cutting straight to the point. “The fae council has called a meeting. They see the current situation as an... expanding problem.”

Geneva frowned, feeling a knot form in her stomach. “Expanding problem?”

Phoenix’s mouth twisted into a grim smile. “The Duvall sisters and their ‘inappropriate’ mates.”

Ash stood, his movements fluid as he crossed the room to stand beside Geneva, his gaze narrowing. “Inappropriate, huh? That’s rich.”

Phoenix shrugged. “You know the fae council. They don’t like anything they can’t control. And demons, even half-demons, are about as far from their comfort zone as it gets.” She glanced at Ash, her expression softening slightly. “But this isn’t just about you. Gage, Zane, Griff—they see all of this as a threat to the old order. They’ll come after us because they don’t know how to handle the change.”

Geneva felt the weight of her sister’s words settle over her like a heavy cloak. She had known, on some level, that this was coming. The fae council had never approved of the Duvall sisters’ choices, and their involvement with supernatural beings like Ash, Gage, and the others only made them more of a target. But hearing it confirmed, knowing that the council was actively moving against them, sent a chill through her.

“What do we do?” Geneva asked, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside her.

Phoenix met her gaze, her expression hard but determined. “We stand our ground. We’ve never let them dictate our lives, and we’re not about to start now. But we need to be ready. The council is powerful, and they’ll use every tool at their disposal to try to break us apart.”

Ash’s hand found Geneva’s, and she squeezed it, drawing strength from his presence. She knew that their relationship—her love for him—would only make things more difficult. But she also knew that she wasn’t willing to give it up. Not for the council. Not for anyone.

“We’ll face them,” Geneva said, her voice firm with resolve. “Whatever they throw at us, we’ll deal with it.”

Phoenix nodded, a glint of rebellion in her eyes. “I figured you’d say that.” She gave Geneva a quick smile, her tone lightening just a bit. “Just make sure you’re ready. Things are about to get bumpy.”

As Phoenix turned to leave, Geneva closed the door behind her, leaning against it as the weight of the situation settled on her shoulders. The fae council was coming for them. But as she looked at Ash, standing beside her with that same quiet strength, she knew that no matter what happened, she and her sisters had all they needed to face it.
