61. Auslin
Chapter 61
Auslin
I t annoyed Auslin that he had passed out the night before after the amorous attention from Kitaro's dragon. Not wanting to be selfish, it gave him the courage to be more proactive.
He rolled over to face Kitaro, who watched him with pewter-rimmed eyes. Without a word, Auslin leaned in for a heated kiss. He resisted when Kitaro tried to push him onto his back and instead took advantage of their naked bodies by shifting positions to straddle over the shifter prince. He pinned Kitaro into place, then showered him with kisses that fueled both their desires.
Kitaro's claws wandered over every part of Auslin's body he could reach. It made Auslin rut against Kitaro's answering hardness with a desperate whine in the back of his throat. But he stayed focused, moving to trail kisses down to Kitaro's thick cock .
Auslin wasted no time in taking it deep into his mouth to work with a muffled moan. He loved how Kitaro never rushed him or forced him to take so much that he gagged. It brought him immense pleasure to give Kitaro sexual satisfaction. Auslin toyed with Kitaro's balls as he continued sucking his dick.
Kitaro rumbled in appreciation, caressing Auslin's hair with his claws. It sent shivers racing down the human's spine in the best of ways. The more silver bled into Kitaro's eyes, the more excited Auslin became. He loved the rougher side of Kitaro's dragon and encouraged his presence with breathy moans around the length in his mouth, taking him deeper into his throat.
It had the desired effect of drawing Kitaro's orgasm. Auslin barely had time to swallow before he was on his back, looking up at Kitaro's dragon. It was all the warning he got before the dragon prince was returning the favor while adding three slicked fingers inside him. Auslin gasped at the intrusion, his hips jerking at the sudden shock of being so filled. But Kitaro's dragon was relentless as he moved his fingers in and out of the human, brushing against that spot that made him come undone every time.
It didn't take much for Auslin to climax. Kitaro's dragon practically purred as he licked the human's release to clean him. "There is nothing as sweet as the taste of your pleasure."
Auslin held his arms open to embrace Kitaro, who snuggled into his hold. It made Auslin feel better as he basked in euphoria.
N ow that they had explored each other, Kitaro was relentless for the rest of Auslin's heat. He continually pleasured him until he passed out from the overwhelming ecstasy being bestowed upon him. After going so long with only chaste kisses, it was the best kind of heaven to get off so many times. But the knowledge that they were rapidly approaching the turning point in their relationship once they finally reached Satsuma tempered it.
The best part was that Kitaro dutifully stayed by Auslin's side except for when he went to forage for food. But even on hunts, he never strayed like Kio had done so often. It meant so much to him there wasn't someone else out in the woods waiting for Kitaro.
But when Auslin was left alone while Kitaro hunted for food, he often wondered about Maseo and if he was okay. It didn't sit well with Auslin that the half-wolf shifter would be enduring abuse from Kio that no one should ever put up with for any reason. Was it weird he wished he could tell Maseo how incredible it felt to move on and be with someone who truly loved him? Even after everything they had been through together because of Kio, Auslin wanted that kind of happiness for Maseo, too.
"What troubles you?" Kitaro asked as he returned from hunting with several rabbits.
"There's someone in my time I'm supposed to hate," Auslin explained. He accepted a rabbit and started breaking it down for cooking. "He would absolutely deserve my hatred, but instead, I feel sorry for him. It's weird, but I want him to have the same happiness we do."
"What is so odd about that? You have the kindest heart I know. I would expect nothing less from you."
Auslin's smile slid into a sad one. "The problem is, I know he doesn't think he deserves it. And that's why he puts up with being treated so horribly by his partner. It's not my place, but I wish I could make it better for him somehow. I want to tell him there's someone out there waiting to love him the way he deserves, and he doesn't have to put up with being abused by somebody who doesn't know what true love is."
"Should you ever have the opportunity to tell him, I hope he will listen to your wisdom."
"He'd probably think it was a weird trick I was trying to play on him." Auslin sighed as he continued prepping the rabbit. "He has every reason in the world to distrust me."
"I do not see why. You clearly have his best interests at heart."
It was a complicated situation, but giving more details would be too dangerous. So Auslin let the matter go as they continued making small talk while cooking dinner.
A fter another three days stuck in the cave waiting for his heat to be over, Auslin had finally had enough. He had reasoned with Kitaro that his time was almost over, so he was unlikely to draw any unwanted attention to their remote location in the woods. Kitaro had resisted at first but eventually relented.
It felt good to make progress on their journey again, although it brought Auslin closer to dealing with whatever Satsuma might tell him.
They took a break for lunch in Reflorna. While Kitaro hunted, Auslin filled their canteens in the river.
Auslin kept his senses stretched out of habit, which soon alerted him that someone was nearby. He set the canteens down, but he didn't see anyone when he looked around the immediate area.
There was a rustling in the brush before a wolf shifter emerged with a smirk. He had gray hair, dark eyes, and was impeccably dressed for someone taking a stroll through the woods. He would have been handsome if not for the glint of evil in his eyes .
"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" The wolf shifter approached Auslin with a cocky swagger.
The last thing Auslin was in the mood for was to deal with another pesky wolf shifter, but he remained polite. "Can I help you?"
"I am quite certain you could help me." Between his fancy clothes and lack of contractions, he was clearly someone royal. But what would he be doing alone in the woods? The wolf shifter's eyes roamed over Auslin's body, making him uneasy. "But the real question is, help me with what?"
Auslin cursed himself for leaving his sword with his pack. It was too close to the wolf shifter to reach for now. He wished he could mentally summon Kitaro to appear. There wasn't a threat of immediate danger, but Auslin didn't trust the stranger.
He came closer to Auslin. "Is something wrong?"
Auslin stood up to face him. "I have no wish to engage with you. Please leave."
"Now, why would I do that?" The wolf shifter loomed over Auslin.
Auslin's heart raced as the stranger invaded his personal space.
The shifter leaned closer, his nostrils flaring slightly. "Especially when you smell so damn good." He reached out to grab him.
Auslin put his training to use by ducking around the wolf shifter. He got behind him, then used all his strength to shove the stranger into the river. It gave him enough time to grab his sword and scabbard to hold in a defensive stance.
The wolf shifter angrily sputtered as he pulled himself out of the river. "I intended to have fun with you, but you had to ruin that."
"Leave," Auslin ordered in his firmest voice. He channeled his power into his sword, the purple flames of his power surging on the blade's edges.
"Now I will have to punish you for your insolence." The wolf shifter stalked closer to Auslin once more.
"Then you leave me no choice."
Before Auslin could launch his attack, Kitaro's voice boomed loudly in the river glen. "Prince Fenalo!"
The wolf shifter's dark eyes narrowed at the sight of Kitaro approaching. "Fancy meeting you here, Prince Kitaro."
The dragon shifter got between the two men. "What are you doing here?"
"I was merely satisfying my curiosity."
"You may leave now." There was a rumbling threat of violence in Kitaro's tone if he wasn't obeyed.
"But I was just about to play a game with that human you seem to be guarding." Fenalo playfully pouted, but his glare at Auslin was venomous. "I had heard rumors your father had accepted a human into your clan, but I found it almost impossible to believe. And yet, here he is. "
"I will not allow you to do as you please," Kitaro growled. "Leave us at once."
Fenalo sighed dramatically. "You never let any of us have any fun."
"That is because your idea of fun causes nothing but problems." Kitaro rested his hand on his sword hilt in a silent threat.
Fenalo held up his hands in surrender. "Well, if nothing else, I will enjoy making my cousin jealous. I will send him your fond regards."
"That is unnecessary," Kitaro snarled.
The wolf shifter walked off with a wave. He called out over his shoulder, "Perhaps we shall play another time. A pleasure, as always, Prince Kitaro."
Once Fenalo was well out of earshot, Auslin sheathed his sword. He looked questioningly at Kitaro. "You know that guy?"
"Unfortunately." Kitaro scowled as he scanned the area to make sure the shifter was really gone. "He is an irritant I mercifully have few interactions with these days."
"Who's his cousin?" Auslin asked.
"Nasume."
Auslin bristled with outrage. " Seriously ? Out of all the people we could have run into, it had to be someone related to Nasume ?" What was it with his awful luck with wolf shifters?
"Nasume's uncle is the king of Reflorna. Since we are on their lands, it is an unfortunate reality that we may confront more of Nasume's relatives."
"Ugh, I hope not," Auslin groaned. "Is everybody in his family a terrible person?"
"Pretty much." Kitaro frowned. "I can only hope as we move farther west that we will not encounter anyone else from his pack."
"Well, that makes me feel even better about pushing him into the river."
"It was most amusing seeing him drenched," Kitaro admitted with a chuckle. "I regret I did not get to witness your triumph over him."
"Hopefully, that teaches him a lesson to not come back and harass us later."
"I am certain we have nothing to worry about with him for the rest of the night." Kitaro held up the animals he found on his hunt. "Shall we have lunch?"
"Yes!" Auslin's hunger returned now that the threat of Fenalo was gone.
The two set about readying lunch before they resumed their travels for the afternoon.
