A NOTE FROM ELVA

This was a carrot story while I was writing other books - if I got my word count for the day, I treated myself to writing Lucy’s antics. I absolutely love Darius, and can’t wait to revisit all of the kids as they grow up.

As always, my love and appreciation to my early readers, who catch errors like the fact that gray squirrels don’t chatter and yell like the red squirrels I am more familiar with. (My local little jerks ate nearly ALL my strawberries this summer, but they are too cute to hate.) Nickel City is my happy place and I hope it is yours as well!
