A iden was right when he said this season was going to be the best ever. Emerson is Moto 2 champion, Elias is Moto 3 champion. And my Aiden. My husband, my soulmate, won his last MotoGP championship. Tonight we’re celebrating all three of my loves.
Everyone here is trying to get a picture of the three of them together.
“You know we’ve made history this season, right?” Julio, Aiden’s trainer, says to me as he hugs me.
I hug him back. “I’m so proud of all of you. The O’Connor legacy will live on for a long time.”
Julio’s smiles tells me how proud he is of Aiden and our boys. He’s been training Aiden since he was Elias’ age. And now he trains our kids.
“Your boys will keep the legacy that began with Aiden going. The O’Connor name will always be talked about in Moto sports. And I’m so proud of all of them. ”
“Me too. Thank you for being here for them.” I smile.
I watch my boys celebrate and dance around like madmen. I can’t help but laugh at all of them. This is what Aiden dreamed of for his retirement season .
