One Year Later
“Indy, stop being nervous. It all looks great,” Iva chastises her, making me grin. I’ve been saying the same thing for the last hour.
The past year has brought a lot of changes. Indy, Tinny, and I have all moved into a new house. When I bought my place here in Kentucky, I had a dream. Now, I have that dream and more. I have Indy, our daughter, and in a couple months we will be having our twins. One boy and one girl. That obviously required more bedrooms. Not to mention, I wouldn’t mind having another child or two—and so far Indy hasn’t shut me down.
We found a house with six bedrooms and two offices. It also has a huge kitchen and living area. It’s a log home with lots of glass doors and floor to ceiling windows. My Indy fell in love with it. She still works three days a week in town. Working part time is truly what she wanted. This gives her time with her family and I’m sure not going to argue about that.
My woman actually loves living here in Kentucky. When Iva and Cooper bought my old place, it just made it better. I have most of my memories back, a few are hiding here and there, but I don’t let it worry me. I’m too busy every day making new ones.
The doorbell rings and I give Indy a kiss and then make my way to the door. Mom hugs me, before directing Skylar, Joker, Dom and Thea where to put all the food she’s brought
