Chapter 7

CHAPTER SEVEN

I'm not sure how Rome got to The Club, but he left with me and the ride to my house is ripe with sexual tension. He's driving my car, steering with one hand but the other rests on my bare thigh. He pushes the fabric higher the closer we get to my house. The anticipation of feeling his hand between my legs is killing me.

I want to know if he's going to just go for it and slide his fingers under my panties and into my pussy or if he's going to torture me with over-the-panties foreplay.

I want a real kiss. One that reveals all the tension I see in the taut way he holds his body.

I want.

I want.

I want.

When we pull into my garage and the door closes behind us, he gives me exactly what I want. He pulls me up against him and kisses me like his life depends on it. I unknot his tie and start to unbutton his shirt, not breaking the kiss. He pulls me across the console and onto his lap, the hem of my dress up to my waist. It's just as I feel Rome's fingers against my inner thigh that I hear a clearing of a throat and freeze.

Shit.

Callum.

Rome looks at me as I turn to look at Cal who's leaning against the doorjamb in a very relaxed pose with a smug smirk on his face.

"Um…" I blush.

Cal laughs.

Rome groans in frustration.

"You weren't really going to fuck her in the car, were you?" Cal asks very matter-of-factly.

What is going on here?

"No," Rome answers, "But I was going to make her come at least twice before we got into the house."

Twice?

"What?" I squeak.

Cal smiles. "I told you you weren't seeing it, Bethy."

"Apparently I'm still not because I don't know what's going on here."

"Miller, you graduated top of your class in high school and college, so you aren't stupid. What aren't you getting here?" Rome asks.

I open the door and crawl out of the car. Rome follows.

He stops me as I round the hood of the car and cages me in, Cal coming up on the side of us.

"We both want you," Cal tells me.

"Both," I parrot.

"Mhm. While you'll have Rome's last name, you'll have mine in spirit because when you're marrying him, you're marrying me as well."

"I am?" What is happening? Am I dreaming? I pinch myself. Nope, no dream.

"You are," Rome informs me. "Look, Miller, we've played this love/hate game out until the very end."

"Love?"

He sighs and pushes my hair from my face. "Yes, love. I waited as long as I possibly could before you'd lose your inheritance. If that's all you want from me, then that's what I'll give you. But if you want me as your husband, I'll be that in every sense of the word."

"And I'm part of that package," Cal adds.

"Let me see if I know what you're saying. You both love me."

They nod.

"You want a real marriage."

They nod.

"Both of you… you'll share?"

They nod again.

I blow out a breath of disbelief.

"I gotta say, I wasn't expecting that. What will people think?"

Cal pulls me into his arms, Rome pressing into me from behind.

"Do you care?"

"No. But…"

Rome shushes me. "But nothing, Beth. The only ones who matter here are us."

"You're right."

He rolls his eyes. "I'm always right."

I smack him.

Cal looks me in the eyes. "You've fought it long enough. Now it's time for us."

I look to Rome and he nods.

"What will we… be?" I ask, always needing to know.

"We'll be us," Miller. "Just us."

"Yes."

Just us sounds pretty damn perfect.
