Chapter Twenty-Five
Taking on a solid form in this world is so very strange, but everything I find to be uncomfortable and weird is worth it for the sole fact I can touch my mate. Besides, three days of it is hardly enough time to be used to it. I'm sure at some point it'll all be normal.
I can touch her. Feel her, hug her, kiss her.
Lick her, taste her, fuck her.
I do not want to stop. I cannot stop.
She has told me she is sore, and I feel horrible because I cannot get enough. And I have done nothing fun yet. I have not shown her how I can change my cock into different textures and shapes. Or that I can have two to give her pleasure in both her holes. I get so worked up in wanting to take her that I can only focus on being inside her. It is quick and frantic. I am addicted. Absolutely addicted. Nothing has ever felt so good. I do not know how we will get anything done with me constantly needing her wrapped around me, and I am not sure how she will ever mate with the radiant.
I cannot get enough.
But she is human, and I must give her a break so I don't hurt her or cause long-lasting harm. Humans are fragile, and my mate's pussy is not used to so much attention. She will have to get used to it though. Especially with three mates.
Sex is easily the best thing about being solid. There is at least one point during the day when I am completely overstimulated. It is hard to understand how humans focus with so many things going on. There are too many textures—most of them awful, though there are a few I like. Like my Lexia's skin and hair. Her lips are perfect. Her tight, wet pussy is my absolute favorite.
"Do you want more pizza?" Lumen asks.
"No, thank you," I tell him with a shake of my head.
I am not sure how I feel about the food he calls pizza, but when I mentioned that to him, he looked offended and stated it is one of the most liked foods around. I do not care what other people think about it, my only concern is how I feel about it.
I do not see the point of eating anyway. Most of it is dry as it goes into your mouth, then gets soggy as you chew it. It is strange.
"I'll have another slice!" Lexia shouts, holding out her plate for the radiant to take. He returns to the couch a moment later with her plate and his, each with another slice of the gooey, greasy pizza. I shiver at the thought, which leads me to believe I do not like pizza.
We are finally having a Harry Potter marathon, so I can watch the movies I missed. We are almost finished with the second, and I am truly intrigued by them all. Sometimes a little offended, but that is okay. You cannot expect humans to get things correct when they do not have the correct information. Besides, it is all for imagination and creativity purposes. It is not for history or teaching.
I shift on the couch, unsure how I feel about this either. It is soft and I sink into it, which feels unsafe. Lexia says she loves that about the couch, but I feel as if I am going to fall through it right to the floor. I am used to things being firm and solid, as that's how they are in the shadow realm.
"What is the plan for finding the grey?" Lexia asks before taking a big bite of pizza. The cheese stretches from the dough to her mouth, and she grabs it with her finger, twisting it around before shoving it into her mouth and sucking it off. It's adorable. But all it makes me think of is my cock in her mouth, something she has yet to do. She's admitted the amount of cum I have scares her. She made a comment about drowning. I assured her that would not happen and that she would enjoy it because it is flavorful. She does not believe me, but she will see.
"I have to meet with my superior in a few days for a check-in," Lumen explains. "I'll ask him for his advice on the matter. I'm not sure how else to go about finding a grey. Do you?" He looks at me.
I shake my head. "I have no idea where to find them. They exist in nothing. How does one find nothing?"
"You don't find nothing, nothing finds you." The voice is unfamiliar, coming from another part of the house. The three of us jolt from the couch. Lexia's plate falls to the floor, her pizza ruined. She looks down at it with a frown, and for upsetting my love, whoever this intruder is will die.
Lumen and I both reach for Lexi and shove her behind us when we see who the voice belongs to. The man standing by the door with a smirk on his face looks humored at our response. I do not find any of this funny. He looks human, but I know he isn't.
"Who the hell are you?" the radiant shouts, taking a step forward. I hold Lexia behind me, ready to protect her at all costs. I ignore my need to shout at the radiant for saying this place was safe when people can just pop right in!
"The person you're looking for, it seems," the intruder says with a sly grin.
He looks much the opposite of the radiant. This man has dark hair with dark eyes and paler skin. Their bodies are similar, build and height, but most otherworldly beings choose a basic male form, so that is not surprising.
"You're the grey?" the light-being asks carefully. "The missing mate?"
"I am a grey, but I've heard nothing of a missing mate," the man answers smoothly.
"Then why are you here?" the light-being demands, taking another step forward. Typically, he is free spirited and fun. I enjoy seeing this side of him. The side that shows he will protect his mates.
The man narrows his eyes at the radiant. "I should ask you why you called upon me. You requested my presence."
The radiant looks at me with a raised brow and I shrug. I know nothing of calling this person here. I certainly had nothing to do with it. He says he is the grey we have been looking for, but how did we call him?
"I do not understand what he means," I admit.
Lexia pops her head around me, catching the attention of the man. His eyes glue to her, and he grins widely, like a hungry wolf.
"Well, well, aren't you a beautiful little human," he croons.
I grit my teeth and move so she is hidden behind me again. I will not allow this foul man to look at my mate like he wants to eat her up. She is mine to devour.
"Tell us how we called upon you," I demand.
"Have you not been speaking of me for days? I am a hot topic in this house. It's rather annoying." He steps closer to us, inspecting the plate on the floor and the other that was left on the couch. He scowls at it as he disapproves of the pizza. I cannot blame him for that.
"Then why have you taken so long?" I ask.
"I was busy." He toes the plate on the ground, flipping it over to show the ruined pizza beneath. He frowns down at it.
"Busy with what?" the light-being asks, straightening his back.
"Stuff." The man darts his gaze back to me, then flicks over to the radiant. "Now please, tell me what it is you need. I've things to tend to."
"Are you joking?" The light-being huffs out a laugh.
"I never joke about my time. I may have plenty of it, but it's all accounted for."
"What is going on?" Lexia whispers, her hand grasping my wrist. I shake my head. I do not understand what any of this is.
No one says anything for a few moments, and the man, presumptively the grey we have been looking for, darts his gaze between me and the light-being numerous times.
"Hold on a tick… is this some kind of joke?" He looks at us, a slow smile forming on his lips. "You know… a radiant, a shadow, a human, and a grey walk into a bar…" He nods, his smile growing into a grin. His look is expectant, as if we are supposed to respond to that in a way that makes sense.
"What is he rambling about?" I ask softly to the radiant.
"It's a bad joke," the radiant grinds out, then turns his attention to the grey. "This isn't a joke. It's urgent and pivotal to our existence. If you aren't going to take it seriously, then you can leave now, and we will figure this out without you."
Perhaps not the best thing to say to him, as the prophecy states we need him, but since he is my mate and I'm not sure yet if I can trust this grey, I do not argue with the light-being.
The grey purses his lips, then nods once. "Your tone tells me you will struggle to figure it out without me. Meaning it truly must be important. What could be so important that the likes of you three are working together? Are you planning an attack? An onslaught? I love a good mauling. Who are we killing?" His eyes widen, and he takes a step forward. His hands clench into fists and I swear his body is practically vibrating with excitement.
The radiant steps back, shaking his head. He now seems confused by this man, which does not make me feel better.
"We aren't killing anyone," the radiant says firmly.
"Oh," the grey responds, his shoulders sagging. "That's a shame. I was looking forward to it," he mutters. "Well, get on with it then. Tell me why I'm here." He shoves his hands into his pockets, rocking back on his heels.
I take a step closer to the light-being, bringing Lexia with me. "My assessment of this grey is that he is unhinged," I whisper.
The man chuckles to himself, shaking his head.
"Can we have a minute, please?" the radiant says through clenched teeth to the man, then turns to me, placing his arm on my shoulder and turning so he, me, and Lexia are facing one another. He leans closer, placing his other arm around Lexia's shoulder and pulling us closer.
"I'm not sure what to do here," he admits quietly.
"He seems crazy," Lexia says.
"That is what I just said. Unhinged," I add.
"So, what do we do?" Lexia asks.
"You could speak a little louder so I can hear," the grey calls out from behind us.
The three of us straighten, whirling toward the man who is now right in front of us with a slice of pizza in his hand, a few bites taken from it. He brings it to his mouth and takes another large bite. So, my assessment of him and the pizza was wrong. Perhaps I should give the food another try. It does seem to be favored by most.
"This is insane," the radiant mutters, scrubbing a hand down his face.
"What's insane is calling me here and not telling me why," the grey says, taking another bite and chewing lazily.
"Fine," Lexia snaps, pushing through us to stand front and center. "You're here because of a prophecy. One that says the four of us need to work together to save the universe."
The man stares at her, chewing carefully. His lips slowly turn up into a smile, and he points a finger at her. "You're funny. Hot and funny. I like that. You single?"
Her mouth drops open, as the radiant and I bark out a harsh "No."
Though this man, according to the prophecy, should be her mate, they do not seem to know of it. Which could mean he is the wrong grey, or it is the same thing that happened with the radiant and her. Me too, in the beginning. Lexia did not know I was her mate right away.
The grey frowns, taking a step back. He swallows the food in his mouth, then says, "You're both…" He points from me to the light-being.
"Yes," we grind out in unison.
"A radiant and a shadow mated to a human…" His words trail off, and he takes another step back. The air around him shifts to something thicker, darker, rather than excited, like it was moments ago. He spins around, muttering words I cannot hear. I bring Lexia closer to me. This man seems not well. That's concerning.
The grey stops speaking suddenly, turns back to us, places the pizza on the arm of the couch, then takes a few slow steps back. He holds his hands up in surrender. "I have to go," he says carefully.
"Go?" the radiant questions. "Go where?"
"You can't go," Lexia adds, trying to push forward, but I hold her back. I do not trust this man.
"I'm sorry, but I must. I shouldn't be here."
Then the grey disappears. Just disappears into nothing, and the three of us are left staring, wondering what in all the realms just happened.
