Chapter seventeen

Leo

W e should have expected for our date to get postponed, because little girls got sick all the time and she was around a lot of people at Friendsgiving. I was still sad when I had to wait a whole extra week for Isaac to take me out. Dezi being sick meant I also didn’t see Isaac at school.

Isaac wanted our date to be a surprise, but said not to eat dinner since he was picking me up at six. I was honored that Isaac got a sitter to take me out, since he’d never had one before. We’d been texting daily, and even had a few hot phone sex calls, but being with him was different. Better.

“Excited to see your man?” Cam asked, bumping her hip into mine as she went to pass me in the hall.

“It’s been two weeks,” I pouted and she laughed.

“That ‘we just met and want to be around each other all the time’, phase,” Cam mock sighed and I rolled my eyes.

“We met in August, exchanged numbers in September, had our first kiss in October,” I listed on my fingers, leaving off the first time having sex or sleeping in his bed. “It’s mid-December, that’s forever.”

The doorbell rang and I rushed to answer it. I vaguely heard Cam calling out to me as I grabbed my overnight bag, “Have fun, see you tomorrow!”

Opening the door, a rush of cold air came in through the security gate, but I only thought of Isaac. Standing there in a tan peacoat and white collared shirt, I was almost drooling at how sexy he was with full lips smiling over his beard. Isaac was all Daddy, and I hoped he found my knit sweater and red scarf cute.

“Hi, baby boy,” Isaac greeted, and I melted.

Hearing Cam giggle from down the hall, I closed the door and hurried to open the gate. Throwing myself in Isaac’s arms, he caught me easily, “Hi, Daddy.”

“Mmm,” Isaac hummed and planted a short and sweet kiss on my lips. “I like when you call me that.”

“Me too,” I grinned, happy to be in his arms but also very curious. Isaac had a way of bringing my little out more than ever. “Where are you taking me, Daddy?”

“You’ll see,” Isaac winked and stepped back to take my hand. I chatted his ear off with things children had said and done all week while we walked a block to where his black SUV was parked. Isaac opened the door for me, and held out his hand to take my bag, “Hop in.”

“Thank you, Daddy.”

Isaac got in and turned on holiday songs, and I could have kissed him again. I loved to sing along, which he remembered from when I told him a week before about teaching my preschoolers. Isaac hummed along and sometimes joined in with a deep baritone, but mostly he smiled indulgently as we headed back towards his place.

“Are we going to your condo?” I asked, but then he turned onto Geary. I often used GPS to get everywhere, even though I didn’t drive much, but I did know my city well.

“Not until later.”

Isaac seemed to know where he was going as we pulled into a parking garage. We paid the attendant and got out, and I was happy when Isaac took my hand in his. I knew this was his first date with a man, and I was glad he didn’t seem nervous at all.

“Let’s get some hot cocoa,” Isaac stated, my first clue.

“I love hot cocoa,” I agreed, swinging his arm as we walked. The lights of Union Square told me more about our date, where there were blocks of holiday decor, hundreds of tourists, and a giant ice rink. “Ooh, I haven’t come here in a few years!”

“You said you always loved it.” Isaac leaned in to speak in a low voice, “And I want to give you whatever you want, baby boy.”

A shiver of pleasure ran through me and I couldn’t help giving him a peck on the cheek. I wasn’t sure how he felt about public displays of affection, beyond the kiss at my place with no one around and holding hands in a crowd, so I was glad when he grinned at my stolen kiss.

“There are a dozen food trucks to pick from, so let’s get our drinks and browse for which we want to try,” Isaac explained, and it was a fun idea.

Isaac let me babble about everything I saw, most of it nonsense, as I let my adult responsibilities slip away. When we were seated with a view of the ice rink, carol singers echoing through the space, and a variety of food in front of us, I was able to sink into a little headspace.

He was wiping some sauce from the corner of my mouth when I pointed at a sign a man was walking around with, “Look, Daddy! Learn to skate!”

“I already know how to skate, baby,” Isaac told me as he started to clean up our trash. “But I thought you might want to learn.”

“Oh? Oh!” Daddy brought me there on purpose, and I was so on board. He held out his hand and I took it, standing to hug him, “Yes, please!”

We made our way over to the ticket booth to check out skates, and I found out he had signed us up in advance. Daddy helped me lace them, then showed me how to walk onto the ice by taking both of my hands and going on backwards.

“Don’t let go of me and bend your knees a little,” he explained, demonstrating. Everyone else was on the ice with the professional instructors, but holding onto the wall. “To move forward, angle your feet out and lift one at a time.”

Following his instructions, I lifted one foot and brought it down. Instead of stopping like I expected, it gave me momentum. “I’m doing it, Daddy!”

“You are, baby,” Isaac gave me another smile and let me keep going. We eventually made our way around and over to the instructor, but I mostly listened to Daddy.

When everyone else was wobbling around, my Daddy never let me go. Still, it was my first time on the ice, and I ended up knocking him on his ass with me sprawled over his body on the ice.

“Sorry, Daddy,” I apologized, embarrassed and wriggling to get off of him.

Instead of pushing me off, Daddy held me tighter, “I’ll never complain about you on top of me, baby.”

“Daddy,” I whined, my cock taking notice of our positions and what he was implying.

He chuckled and helped me up, “Ready to head home?”

Home. I knew he meant his place, but I liked the sound of it including me. “Yeah, let’s go check on Dezi.”

Isaac’s eyes widened as if he was surprised she was my first thought. If he didn’t know I loved that little girl already, he wasn’t paying attention.

With him being this amazing on a first date, I was half in love with her Daddy, too.
