Chapter 25
Catalina's POV
I need him.
How can I want him again so soon? I reached over to try and pull myself closer to him but the bed was empty.
I sat up, pulling the blanket to my bare chest, hoping to get a few more minutes of sleep, when a loud crashrang throughout the house.
What the hell is he up to?
I stepped out of bed, wrapped the thin blanket around myself, and made my way downstairs.
"Great now you plate it, take the spoon, and give her three helpings while I go wake her up."
Shit Gabriel's back!
I started to turn and head back to the room but Gabriel's voice stopped me.
"Oh for fucks sake."
A timer went off and Lucifer cursed,
"Shit, I forgot about the garlic bread."
Gabriel clutched the kitchen towel in his hands even tighter,
"Lucifer, I know I've said it before but this time I mean it when I say that I am going to kill you." Gabriel's voice was as cold as death and his eyes were full of anger.
Looking up, Lucifer turned and saw Gabriel staring at me, In the hallway, wearing nothing but a blanket. Lucifer's eyes locked on mine and I couldn't help but smirk as I remembered what he felt like, what he tasted like,
Fuck!
Before I could say anything Lucifer made his way to me, picked me up, and tossed me over his shoulder, giving my ass a sharp slap, carrying me back to our room.
"I swear Lucifer I'm going to kick your ass!"
Gabriel shouted as Lucifer carried me back up the stairs and into our room and gently laid me on the bed, softly unwrapping the blanket from my body until I was completely bare to him.
"Beautiful."
He whispered as he softly placed a kiss on my lips. His hands rested on my waist as I wrapped my legs around him.
"As much as I am enjoying this view, you should probably get dressed before Gabriel blows a vein from hearing your pretty little moans."
"Come on just five minutes, we can make it quick," I said as I pulled him in closer. His hands left my waist, traveling up my body, stopping at my chest as he palmed my breast,
"Fuck,"
Lucifer smirked down at me,
"You like that a lot don't you, my Morningstar?"
I fucking loved it.
His hand left my chest, traveling up until he grasped my neck in his hands, his once brown eyes darkened,
" I asked you a damn question." His grip tightened on my neck as he pulled me up, his face mere inches from mine,
"Do you like it when I fucking touch you?" His voice was low but tight, and lust filled his eyes as he looked at me,
"Yes," I whimpered, squirming against him to feel any kind of friction.
"Say it." He seethed as he tilted my head up to meet his gaze,
"I like it when you touch me,"
Lucifer released me, flipping me on my stomach as he lifted my hips, pressing himself against me as he leaned down and whispered,
"Is this what you want Catalina? You want me inside your pretty pink cunt?"
Yes!
Lucifer gripped my hair, pulling my head up until I could see us in the mirror,
"Answer me,"
"Yes."
Lucifer's dark laugh rang out and sent an electric shock through my body, His eyes locked on mine through the mirror. Seeing myself like that, seeing his dark heated gaze on my full naked body, it made the wetness that was building between my legs begin to drip down my body, making my thighs slick with arousal.
"Look at yourself Catalina, Look at how fucking pretty you are when you're all choked up for me."
Lucifer pulled my hair harder forcing my head to lift higher, as his free hand slid between my legs. His fingers glided through my wetness, before sliding a finger into me. My body jolted forward at the sudden intrusion but Lucifer pulled me back,
"Don't fucking move." He growled.
Slowly he rose over me, his body covering mine as he continued to look at me through the mirror.
"Keep your eyes on your reflection Catalina. I want you to see how fucking beautiful you are when you come for me."
I nodded my head as Lucifer kissed my cheek, making his way down to my neck. Switching between small delicate kisses and tiny little bites until he reached the curve of my ass.
"Spread your legs for me princess,"
I pressed down on the bed, arching my back more as I spread myself open for him. I pulled my gaze back to the mirror and watched as Lucifer dropped to his knees behind me, his hand gripping my hips as he ran his tongue against me. Devouring me with each damn stroke of his tongue, as if he was on death row and I was his last meal. Slowly he slid that damned finger into me again and then another. He plunged his fingers deep inside me, curling them to hit that damned spot inside of me and I nearly came apart.
"Fuck, you taste so fucking sweet." He whispered against me as his fingers moved inside me, still hitting that damned spot. I could feel myself tightening around his fingers, release trying to escape,
"Lucifer please for the love of everything that is unholy put your damn mouth back on me," I needed it. Needed the sweet release and I didn't give a damn if I finished on his fingers, his hand, or his damn face. I just needed him to finish me.
Lucifer chuckled against my sensitive flesh,
"As you wish my Morningstar."
Instantly his tongue was back on me. He didn't waste time with sweet slow licks. Lucifer fucking ate.
I came apart as his tongue delved inside of me, feasting on me and catching every last drop as I came on his tongue.
I screamed into the sheets as I collapsed onto the bed. Release cooling my heated blood, Lucifer chuckled as he turned me over to face him.
"I'm not done with you yet,"
Lucifer gripped my thighs, pulling me to the edge of the bed,
"You'll have to be quiet or else Gabriel will hear you,"
His hand went around my mouth as he thrusted inside me, muffling my scream.
"That's my good girl," He praised me as he thrusted into me again, harder and faster. His cock filling and stretching me. I was so fucking full, yet when I glanced down to where we were joined, he still had at least another three inches left.
He can't possibly fit inside me, there's no damn way!
"Fuck you feel so damn good."
He slid into me, inch by fucking inch. It was a madness that I never wanted to end. I needed more. I wanted more. I wanted all of him, inside me, tearing me apart. Lucifer leaned down, his mouth a few inches away from mine,
"You look so fucking pretty with my cock in you," He whispered before kissing me. I leaned into his kiss as he slid deeper inside me, tasting myself on his lips. Lucifer pulled back,
"Pick Catalina do you want me to paint that pretty face of yours," He growled against me as he leaned in closer,
"Or do you want to take all my come in that tight little cunt?"
Both. I wanted both. I wanted his come on my face and inside me. I wanted him to mark me as his. To be covered in him.
Lucifer ran his fingers down my chest, cupping my breast as he made his way down to my clit. His fingers circled that sensitive bundle of nerves, release once again coursing through me, trying to escape my body.
"Use your words, princess, where do you want my come?" Lucifer said as he smirked down at me.
"In me. I want you to come inside of me." I shrieked out. Lucifer chuckled as he braced his hands on my hips, flipping me back on my stomach, our gazes locked on each other once again through the mirror. Slowly he pulled out of me until only the tip remained,
"Lucifer please!"
"Please what?"
Is he serious?
"Please let me come!"
His dark seductive chuckle brushed across my skin,
"You want to come my Morningstar?"
"YES!" I screamed,
His fingers left that sensitive bundle and made their way up until he clutched my face in his hand,
"Then come on my fucking cock,"
He thrusted into me, fully to the hilt as I erupted around him. His hand immediately went around my mouth again, keeping me quiet as I cried out as he filled me.
"Fucking hell Catalina, you're going to be the death of me." He whispered as he collapsed against me,
"Wouldn't that be an interesting way to go then," I said as he placed a kiss on my spine before he stood up,
"I would die a very happy man then." He said as he gave my ass a sharp slap before he walked over to the dresser, pulling out a shirt and a pair of shorts.
"I'll deal with Gabriel while you get dressed."
He handed me the clothes before gently placing a kiss on my forehead.
Too soon he left and I was alone in our room. I rushed to put on Lucifer's shirt and the pair of shorts and made my way back to the kitchen.
Gabriel was staring down at Lucifer as he pulled another tray from the oven.
Here we go.
I could see the rage in Gabriel's eyes and the stubbornness in Lucifer's.
"Well, what are we having?" I asked as I stepped off the final step.
Gabriel looked at me and I could tell by the expression on his face that he was annoyed.
" Penne Vodka."
YES!
" Well, at least you made my favorite," I said as I walked over to the cabinets and grabbed a few plates,
"Not me, Lucifer did."
Lucifer did what?
I glanced up and could see Lucifer standing by the fridge. A slight shade of pink on his cheeks.
"Gabriel said it was your favorite and I wanted to help."
I ran over to him, leaving my plate on the counter as I wrapped my arms around him.
"You are perfect," I whispered to him as I kissed him.
Lucifer allowed himself to indulge for just a moment before pulling away and leading me to my seat,
"Sit and I'll grab your plate and a drink."
"I am capable of getting my own food and drink Lucifer."
I moved to stand up but Lucifer gently grabbed my hand, planting a light kiss to my hand,
"I know you are but allow me the honor of serving you."
Fucking Hell.
"My Morningstar," he whispered as he grabbed the plate from my hands.
Gabriel glanced over at us and I sat down and let Lucifer grab my food and drink.
Gabriel cleared his throat,
"So we're just gonna skip over what just happened?"
I smirked at him,
"Do you want the details, Gabriel?"
If he wanted the details, who was I to hold out on him? I would tell him everything. The way Lucifer kissed every inch of me. The way his tongue felt against my-
"I will throw myself off the balcony if you do."
I laughed as Lucifer brought over my food and drink and sat down beside me and kissed the top of my head.
"As much as I hate to interrupt this moment, we should talk about the plan for the next two weeks."
Lucifer's face immediately changed. A hint of anger in his eyes.
"We train Catalina to control the Hellfire, you downplay it to Micheal. Make it seem as if she's struggling and can't control it. Eventually, he'll get angry and let something slip."
Lucifer said as he placed his hand on my thigh and gave a slight squeeze. It was a solid plan. They knew Micheal and his tactics. Micheal would eventually slip up and we'd be able to catch him.
Catch….
Would catching him even be enough? What would we even do if we caught him? Was there anything we could even do to him that would repay for the eons of hurt and anger that Lucifer had felt? Micheal had made Lucifer suffer for some reason and maybe it was time we figured out why. Yet what if it backfired? What if everything goes to utter hell?
"But." I started to say as Gabriel and Lucifer looked at me,
"What if he decides to take matters into his own hands?"
I didn't want to bring it up but it was a possibility. There was always a chance Micheal could get fed up and just do what he thought was right.
Lucifer grabbed my hand lacing our fingers together,
"Then we get you as far away as possible."
"Or I could use my gift against him."
I thought about it over and over again. How badly Micheal reacted to my fire. As if he was afraid of it when I almost burned him. I looked and could see the apprehension in Lucifer and Gabriel's eyes but I continued.
"What's the point in training me if you guys are just gonna make me run and hide every time."
"She does have a point, Lucifer," Gabriel said, I looked over and saw a strange look on his face. Lucifer's hand squeezed mine as I looked back at him,
"What do you suggest?" he asked me. At that moment I was so glad. He wanted my opinion. He didn't want to lock me away and keep me caged up.
Cage! That's it!
"He wanted to cage you, maybe I'll just cage him. If I can trap him with the Hellfire and hold him there it should buy us some time."
"Buy us time for what?" Gabriel asked. I could hear the panic and worry in his voice.
"For you to call your friend again and prove that Micheal is a liar."
Ever since I learned the truth about Lucifer's fall, My anger towards Micheal had grown. It wasn't fair. Lucifer suffered for a crime he didn't commit! He suffered for saving someone who needed help! It wasn't fair. He lost everything because of Micheal. And I hated him for it.
Lucifer looked at Gabriel,
"Would it even change anything?"
"Possibly, with father gone, we would need to have witnesses and even then I'm not sure what we would be able to do about the lock."
"We could keep him until he breaks it. If he created it surely he can find another way to destroy it." I responded.
Lucifer was silent for a moment. I could tell a part of him was considering what I was saying yet he was fighting his instincts to protect. He was weighing every option in his head and visualizing every possible outcome.
"It is a possibility, one we should keep in mind."
I knew I could do it and overall I was glad he was keeping my idea in mind. I wanted to help him, I wanted to help fix the mess that Micheal created. I wanted to see him happy.
"So what time is training tomorrow, if you guys don't mind I'd like to join you."
Lucifer answered before I did,
"Be outside by noon, Catalina and I will join you."
Gabriel nodded in acknowledgment as I finished my water,
"Well I don't know about you two but I'm grabbing seconds."
Gabriel chuckled,
"Save some for the rest of us."
I could live like this forever. My favorite place with two of my favorite people. Away from the world and its problems. We wouldn't have to worry about what others would think or pleasing other people. We would have each other. We would be safe and everything would be okay. We could be a.. a family. A weird dysfunctional one but still a family.
And honestly, that's all I ever wanted.

Lucifer's POV
After we finished dinner, Catalina, Gabriel, and I moved into the living room. Catalina had mentioned before that she was never good at darts and tonight I witnessed exactly how bad she truly was at it.
"Want to give my technique a try?" I turned away from her walking to the dartboard and pulling out the darts that she actually managed to connect to the board.
"What would that be?" She asked hesitantly,
"Put up a picture of someone you don't like."
I snapped my fingers and a picture appeared on the board. I turned to face the board, taking the spot right next to Catalina, focusing on the center of the target as I threw the dart.
I hit my mark.
I turned to Catalina whose eyes were shining so brightly she could have blinded me.
"Give it a try."
Catalina closed her eyes and rolled her shoulders back before taking a deep breath and slowly opening her eyes, focusing on the target.
Slowly she drew her hand back and threw the dart at the board.
She hit dead center.
"Much better," I smirked at her as her smile beamed across her face, sending a warm feeling through my chest.
"Let's go again." She said as she turned back to face the board and tossed another dart at the picture.
And then another.
And another.
She hit her target every time.
"Do I even want to know why you guys are throwing darts at a picture of a priest?"
Gabriel's voice interrupted us. We both turned to face him as Catalina shrugged as she sat down on the couch,
"Religious trauma."
Well, she has a point there.
Gabriel eased into the living room leaning against the door frame, his guitar in hand. He didn't seem like he wanted to join us and I think he was still a little angry about earlier when Catalina had come down the stairs in nothing but a blanket. It was a little funny but part of me took a little pride in the fact that he saw that I had claimed her and that she was covered in my scent.
"Damn, it's getting late," Gabriel said as he turned his head back from looking at the clock.
Catalina turned and looked at the clock. I knew she was getting tired, it was getting increasingly difficult for her to keep her eyes open.
"I was just about to turn in but if you guys wanna stay awake go right ahead, I need my beauty sleep."
Gabriel chuckled,
"You plan on sleeping for a few years?"
Oh, she's gonna kill him.
Catalina made her way off of my lap and flicked Gabriel on the nose. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her back in, She turned to me and leaned in to kiss me,
"I'll see you when you come to bed."
I kissed her back and honestly, I could spend the rest of eternity here, kissing her and holding her.
"Goodnight My Morningstar," I whispered against her soft warm lips.
She smirked and kissed my forehead,
"Goodnight my King."
Fuck….
She slowly made her way back up the stairs to our room, Gabriel and I were silent until we heard the low click of the door shutting.
I looked over to see Gabriel already staring at me, A playful smile written all over his face.
"Morningstar huh?"
"Don't even start."
Gabriel laughed,
"It's cute, I'm just not used to seeing this lovey-dovey side of you and this softer side of her, it's…. interesting."
"Yes, well things change don't they?"
"Yes, they do."
"Gabriel I am sorry about earlier with Catalina and the bed-"
Gabriel raised his hand and cut me off,
"I don't wanna hear it, I don't want details," he said as he rubbed his hands over his face,
"Trust me I don't need that image in my head."
Like I would give you details anyway.
I smirked back at him,
"Very well."
Gabriel leaned back in his chair, finishing off his drink,
"What do you think Micheal is doing right now?"
I leaned forward and rested my arms on my legs,
"Probably plotting."
It's what he does best.
"What do you think his actual intentions are?"
"Honestly I don't know and that is what frightens me the most."
Very few things frightened me in this world. Knowing Micheal might have ulterior motives with Catalina was one of them.
What game is he playing?
It made sense for him to want to keep her alive. He knows no doubt now how she feels about me and how I feel about her. The logical response would be to take her away. Take her somewhere far away where I wouldn't be able to reach her. Yet he was still here. Still planning to train her.
Why?
"Are you afraid of Micheal?" Gabriel's question pulled me back to reality,
"I am not afraid of Micheal and I never have been."
But then again I didn't have much to lose back then. This time, I had everything to lose.
"If you had to choose brother, between going home to your people, to your friends, and a life with Catalina, which would you choose?"
Her.
"I'd pick her."
No matter what options I was given I would pick her. She was everything I wanted and needed in my life. Before her I was just existing, moving day to day without a care for anyone or anything. Now, I was living. She brought me to life. Perhaps it was the way she smiled at me, or the way she laughed, or maybe the way her cheeks flushed when she had an entirely wicked idea or maybe it was the boldness in which she always spoke with me. Whatever she had done, she healed me. She sewed up every broken piece of me with a piece of herself. I fell for her. I fell so quickly that it was almost unbelievable. Yet, I wouldn't have it any other way.
Gabriel nodded and I could see a little doubt in his eyes,
"Make no mistake Gabriel, I do miss my home and my people and friends, but she will always be my priority. Her safety, Her happiness, it will always be important to me."
"Good to know."
We were both silent for a moment. I knew he probably disliked this… whatever this was between Catalina and I. Relationship? It felt like that was too simple a word for what this was. Too simple for what she meant to me.
"Do you believe he would have ulterior motives with her?" Gabriel asked as he glanced up the stairs.
"I hope not but honestly it is possible."
It just didn't make sense. From Micheal's perspective, It made the most sense to keep her alive, to do whatever possible to ensure her safety. Yet he lied to Gabriel. Normally that wouldn't be anything new but the fact he swore it on our father. That was throwing us on edge. Micheal was always the most loyal to our father out of all of us, yet he lied and swore on our father that he didn't.
"I hate to even think this let alone say it out loud but I think we should consider the thought that he might use her against you."
I shook my head at him,
"You don't think he would kill her?"
I hated that thought. Just thinking about it made my blood run cold.
"It wouldn't make sense for him to kill her."
"But if he knew using her would get to you-"
"Killing her would do what Micheal thinks I want."
What the hell was Michael's angle here? What was his plan?
"What do you think of her idea? About caging Micheal?" Gabriel finally asked.
"I think it is a solid idea if she can keep up the Hellfire for a long period of time."
It was a great idea but I knew my brother. I knew his rage and his temper. He would use every weakness he could find to break her and break the cage she placed on him. And I would not allow that. Plus he was Immortal and she was Mortal. He could very well just wait until her mortality claimed her.
"And if she can't?" Gabriel asked,
"We'll make sure she can."
Gabriel smirked back at me,
"Damn right we will."
I would do whatever it took to make sure that if it came down to that, then she would be ready. She wouldn't be defenseless against him.
"It bothers you a little bit doesn't it?"
"What?"
Gabriel nodded towards the stairs,
"That she wants to fight."
It didn't matter to me that she wanted to fight. Catalina was a fighter. Fighting was a song in her blood that she could never deny. She liked to fight and loved it. I knew she could handle herself, knew that she was more than capable of defending herself but yet-
"I know she can take care of herself, but a part of me still has the urge to protect her and keep her safe,"
I wanted Micheal far away from her. I never wanted her to have to see him ever again, yet I knew they would. Our time was ticking down, eventually, they would meet and she would want to stand beside me as we went head to head. Catalina wasn't going to run from him. It took everything in me not to take her somewhere else when she and Gabriel returned. Catalina had been through enough in her life. Had been through enough pain and torture. I wanted her to be safe, yet I knew if I asked her to stand down, she'd kill me. She was a fighter and asking her to stand down would be like asking a person not to breathe or asking a dog not to bark. Impossible.
"Yet, I know better than to suggest it, If she wants to help take down Micheal then I will be right by her side as we do it, whether it be on a battlefield or in this house, I will not take that from her, I will not ask her to stand down. I will not ask her to be something she is not,"
Whether my instincts liked it or not Catalina was someone who would not be left behind while others rode off into battle. She thrived in that mind space. Fighting was her way to let out her anger, it grounded her and centered her. The battlefield was her canvas, her weapons her brush, and the blood of others would be her paint. The chaos she would create would be her masterpiece and I fucking loved it.
"I will still protect her, still keep her safe but I will also always allow her to defend herself, you need to do the same, Gabriel."
Gabriel's eyes hardened as he looked at me briefly before his gaze shot back to his guitar. His fingers lightly stroked the instrument. It had been a while since I had last heard Gabriel play. He was incredibly talented at it and just as fighting soothed Catalina and I, music did the same for him.
"That's the hard part. I know she can defend herself but," Gabriel stopped, clutching the guitar a bit tighter as he fiddled with the strings.
"I have seen what she has been through, what she has survived and I just don't want her hurt anymore. She's been hurt enough."
I understood. The mere thought of Catalina being hurt was enough to make me see red. But if we locked her away, kept her from doing something she loved and enjoyed? She would never forgive us.
"Do you trust her?" I asked him.
"Of course I do! Why wouldn't I-"
"Then trust her to come to us when she needs our help."
Gabriel went silent for a moment. His focus went back to the instrument as he tangled with the strings and tuning pegs.
"I just want her to be safe and happy."
"And she will be, I will see to it. I promise."
Gabriel nodded as he spared a glance back towards the staircase.
She'll be safe and happy.
No matter what I would make sure it would happen. I would do whatever it took to make sure Catalina got the happy ending she deserved. Even if I had to kill my own flesh and blood to make it so.

Catalina's POV
It's too early for this shit.
Lucifer had woken me up at six in the morning. Bright and fucking early. He told me yesterday that he had a surprise for me but he didn't mention it would be this damn early when he gave it to me. It was pretty cold this morning so I settled for black leggings and a black loose over-sized knit sweater and boots.
"Can I at least get a hint?"
Lucifer had given me no hint or idea as to what the surprise was so I had no idea if I was over or underdressed. He smirked down at me,
Damn, he's hot.
Lucifer chose to wear his usual plain long-sleeved black t-shirt, which I fully believed he purposely would buy one size too small based on the way the shirt fit him. The shirt hugged every piece of muscle he had. Lucifer was strong but he didn't have a six-pack or abs. Lucifer was a warrior and had a body that was honed on the battlefield. Lucifer was a big man. And I loved it. His black jeans hung a little loose but still emphasized his strong legs and the long black trench coat added a sense of mystery to his appearance.
"Nope. Just relax or you'll tense up again."
I did tend to tense up when I was nervous which always made me a little moody with everyone.
"How far is the drive?"
Lucifer chuckled,
"Who said we were driving?"
Oh, you gotta be kidding me!
Lucifer smiled as I slowly backed up,
"Oh no no no no no, no way."
Lucifer laughed,
"I promise you'll be okay."
"I COULD FALL!" I shouted at him and he just smiled even more as he approached me and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"I promise I will not let you fall. This is the fastest way to get where we need to go."
He lifted his hand and gently caressed my cheek,
"Do you trust me, my Morningstar?"
Always.
"Of course I do."
"Then trust me when I say that as long as you are with me, no harm will come to you. I promise."
I believed him. As long as he was here with me, I was safe. Lucifer would not allow anything to harm me. Not ever again.
I nodded my head at him and he reached down and picked me up. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he walked us over to the balcony. His large black wings appeared from behind.
How the hell do his clothes not rip?
Aplayful glimmer shined in his eyes,
"Is that supposed to impress me or something?" I smirked at him,
"Well from what you've been reading I figured you'd be interested to see what a truly impressive… Wingspan looked like." He winked at me and I could feel the blush on my cheeks get brighter and brighter,
"Hold on tight." He whispered as he stood on the ledge and jumped.
* * *
I hate this place.
"What the hell are we doing here?" I asked Lucifer.
"Training." He replied as he slowly walked up behind me.
"What does being here have to do with my training?"
Everything inside of me was telling me to leave. To walk away and never come back here. My first childhood home hadn't been a happy home. No, it was a house of nightmares. On the outside it seemed perfectly fine but the inside? The inside was another story.
Lucifer turned me around to face him and placed his hands on my shoulders,
"Last time you said memories from your childhood resurfaced, so I'm going to help you."
"How?"
How could he possibly help me? The memories of what was done to me in this house were engraved in me forever. No matter how much I had tried, a part of me would always be stuck in this house of horrors. Forever.
Lucifer leaned in and whispered in my ear,
"Burn it down. Think of every horrible thing that happened here and aim for the house and Burn. It.Down."
He can't be serious.
"People live here Lucifer!"
I hadn't seen any cars in the driveway and the yard and porch were void of any decoration. But the yard was taken care of so someone must live here. Right?
"I purchased it this morning, it is empty. The house is ours."
He what…
"You- You bought my childhood home?"
He nodded,
"All of them, every house you ever lived in, every house that has plagued your nightmares, I have purchased."
"Why- why would you do that?"
He smiled down at me as he wiped a tear from my face,
"Because I love you, and I knew as long as these places were standing, those memories would hurt and haunt you and I promised you I would never allow anything to harm you ever again."
Lucifer leaned down and planted a kiss on the top of my head,
"Focus, think of everything that has happened here, and let it go."
I turned around to face one of the many places that had haunted my dreams and housed my nightmares.
I closed my eyes and started to think about all the awful things that happened here. Images of my childhood flooded my mind, my parents screaming and yelling at each other over fucking Christmas lights. Being made to kneel in a corner on hard uncooked rice for hours. The feeling of cold leather hitting my body over and over and over again.
I started to feel the familiar warmth going through me, and in my head, I thought about the entire place going up in flames, burning alive every memory of that place and slowly suffocating it.
"Open your eyes," he whispered.
I slowly opened my eyes and saw exactly what I had envisioned. My childhood home was engulfed in flames, nothing but bright orange fire and black smoke consuming it.
In a way, it looked like the fire was exorcising the awful memories that lived within the walls.
I smiled as Lucifer grabbed my hand and we watched as the flames devoured the worst of my memories and for the first time in a long time, I felt a weight off my shoulders.
I turned to face him and saw nothing but admiration in his eyes. I pulled him close, tears already running down my face,
"Thank you," I whispered against his chest as he held me and watched the house of horrors go up in flames and turn to ash.
* * *
"So how did it go?" Gabriel asked as Lucifer and I joined him for training.
"It was better than I expected."
It was more than that. Lucifer had found a way to make sure those memories never plagued my mind again. He found a way to keep me safe from my own head.
"No accidents?"
Lucifer shook his head,
"She was able to keep the fires contained to a manageable level. No damages or injuries to anyone or anything other than the houses."
Gabriel pulled me into an embrace,
"I'm so proud of you!"
He released me and this time it was Lucifer's turn to hug me,
"Well should we train for a bit or do you wanna burn down more houses?" he whispered to me,
Gabriel smirked as I laughed took his hand and followed Gabriel to train. Burning down my childhood homes had been wonderfully thrilling. I thought I would feel anger and hurt the entire time, but after seeing the houses turn to nothing but ash beneath my feet. I felt nothing but joy. It was as if I was freeing a part of me that was trapped in those walls and by setting the houses on fire, I set a piece of myself free. Claiming back a part of me that was stolen and taken away. I claimed pieces of myself back today, pieces of myself that I was sure would be lost forever. But I found them. He helped me find those pieces and together we would put the pieces back together again.

"You've improved but the fire still lacks shape and form," Gabriel said as he handed me my water bottle. We had been training for about two hours and I was not as exhausted as I used to be so we kept going.
"What do you mean?"
Lucifer answered,
"Think of the fire as water, when you spill water it goes everywhere, so your fire right now is like spilled water, it goes everywhere, yes you hit your targets but those edges could still hit something or someone else and cause an injury to you or others."
Interesting…
"So I have to-"
Gabriel cut me off and said,
"Focus on containing the flames where you want them to be and the shape you want them to take."
"Sounds easy enough, let's give it a go."
I tossed my water bottle to the ground and made my way to the center of the field but Lucifer gently grabbed my wrist,
"Are you sure? I don't want you exhausting yourself."
I turned to face him,
"I'm fine Lucifer. I just want to try."
Lucifer looked at Gabriel and I could tell he wanted to say something but was holding back.
"Well I'm gonna try, you two are more than welcome to join me," I said as I gently pulled from Lucifer's grip and made my way further onto the field.
I heard Lucifer sigh and a few seconds later I heard Gabriel and Lucifer's footsteps behind me. I couldn't help the slight smirk that came on my face.
Knew it.

Lucifer's POV
"Gabriel, stand right there." Catalina pointed to the spot in the middle of the field. Gabriel and I followed her of course. If she wanted to train, we'd be here to help her.
"What are you thinking?"
I asked her as Gabriel walked to the spot and she backed up towards me.
"I'm thinking what better way to practice shaping the flames than by practicing making the cage that will contain Micheal."
She is brilliant.
"Be careful and let me know if it becomes too much."
While her idea to practice making the cage to have her gift take shape was a brilliant idea I didn't want her burning herself out. Using her gift usually didn't take a lot out of her but creating a cage and possibly holding it for hours? Who knew what that would do to her?
"If you could also try not to singe my hair and clothes by the way, that would be great," Gabriel yelled from where he stood, Catalina laughed and I watched as she closed her eyes and extended her hand, and within a few seconds, a flame started to circle Gabriel.
She's getting faster.
Gabriel was now encased in a circle of fire. A perfect circle.
Ever so slowly she lifted her other hand causing eight pillars of flames to appear. I watched as the pillars got higher and higher until they were practically the same height as Gabriel connecting at the top and enclosing him in. The familiar warmth reminded me of home.
I looked over and saw Catalina, eyes open, that stunning shade of green shining through, with a smile on her face.
Beautiful.
"How long do you think you could keep that up for?" I asked.
She shook her head,
"I'm not sure but I can try and see-"
"Maybe another day, You've done enough today, we can try again tomorrow after you've rested."
Catalina nodded
"Very well."
She lowered her hands and slowly the flames started to rescind, revealing Gabriel, fully clothed, and not a single hair burnt off. Gabriel approached us, excitement in his eyes as he hugged Catalina.
"Well, I say this was a successful training day, you two go and get cleaned up, I'll visit Micheal."
Catalina nodded her head and began to walk back to the house.
"You remember what to say?" I asked Gabriel as I picked up our water bottles.
"Yes, I plan to tell him that today was no different than yesterday."
Good.
"I'll see you when you get back, be careful Gabriel."
Gabriel patted me on the back,
"Don't worry about me just get inside and shower, you reek of ass."
I laughed as Gabriel stretched out his wings and took off.
Please be safe brother.
