Chapter 11

CHAPTER 11

Cameron

"You weren't lying. That breakfast was amazing. How is it that you found this place when you're not even from Boston?" she asked.

"I travel a lot and realized that the best places to eat are where the locals go."

"And you get to know them how?" She questioned.

"I spend a lot of time at the gym, and when we are not training, we talk. A lot of the time, it's about food," I stated, carrying her beach bag as we made our way towards the water. "I still can't believe we are here this early. I don't think I've ever gone to the beach before."

"Then you're missing out. This is the perfect time. We can pick the spot we want for our blanket, and also the sun is not so strong. We won't be red lobsters within minutes." She stopped and said, "This is good."

I handed her the bag, and she started pulling things out. The bag didn't seem that large, but I was shocked to notice how much stuff she'd crammed inside. When I went to the beach, I was lucky if I remembered to bring a towel, never mind sunscreen. Must be the doctor in her, but she seemed to have prepared for any emergency, even anti-itch ointment for bug bites.

"Are you moving to the beach?" I joked as I pulled off my T-shirt and tossed it to the side, then kicked off my sneakers leaving them all piled up in the sand.

She shot me a warning look and said, "Nothing wrong with being prepared."

Her eyes slowly roamed over me and instantly I felt my body begin to react, especially when she bit her bottom lip. Damn, Sydney. Why look at me like this on a public beach? I was horny as fuck, and didn't care about my surroundings. We had the entire day, and before the night was over, I planned on tasting more than just those sweet lips of hers.

Wonder if you have packed condoms in that bag of yours.

Before I could ask, I noticed her expression change. It went from one of appreciation to concern. "From the looks of you, you're accident-prone." She held up a package of band-aids and tossed them on the pile.

The swelling on my eye had gone down dramatically, but the bruises on my ribs hadn't. They were a lot more prominent, with a black and purple appearance now. She hadn't seen them before now. As her eyes lingered over them, I knew she was going to ask how I got them. Time to deflect and redirect.

" I've earned my share of bumps and bruises just like everyone else." And given out more than I received.

She shook her head in a very disapproving way. It's not like I was fighting in the streets or something. Only, she didn't know that. And telling her would definitely put a damper on our day together.

"Hope you didn't break any of your ribs," she said, her tone sounding very official.

"Nope. They are not what is hurting right now," I winked. It took her a second to comprehend what I was saying, but I knew the instant she caught on. Her cheeks glowed pink, and it wasn't from the sun. Then she lowered her eyes and turned her head as though she was hoping I hadn't noticed. Too late. I don't miss much about you. That didn't mean I had her figured out. Damn, she was a mystery to me and usually, I could read people. But not Sydney. She was like sugar and spice all in one.

At times, bold and making the first move, like kissing me. And shy the next moment. Funny, I found myself attracted to both sides. Hopefully tonight, she brought the spice. I didn't want to drop her off at her door after the concert. I would much rather carry her to her bed where we'd make our own music.

Thoughts like this were only feeding my desire more. And the look in her eyes said we weren't on the same page at the moment. It'd be so easy to ask her to check my ribs and I'd love every minute of her hands on me, but it would suck knowing that it wouldn't be in a sexual way. Role-playing can be fun, but Sydney didn't play doctor, and I didn't want to be her patient. I want to be her lover. Not wanting to discuss how I got the bruises, I changed the subject, and quickly offered, "Want some help?"

Still not looking at me, she nodded. "I know, I should've put the blanket down first. For some odd reason, I packed it on the bottom. Poor planning on my part."

I chuckled. "I would think you over plan."

Sydney nodded. "I have been told that on many occasions. My best friend Amanda said it's okay to just live in the moment, but everything I brought has a purpose." Holding the blanket up she added, "Like I'd rather not have a bunch of sand creeping into my bathing suit."

Which I can't wait for you to reveal.

I helped her lay it out, and bit back my laughter. It was covered with pictures of kittens and puppies. Something I would've expected a child to use.

"Unique blanket," I said.

"Thanks. My staff had it made for me. These are some of my patients. Well, the ones that were born in my clinic. I helped name some of them too. That is Josie. She's a black lab. And this is Motown. He's a boxer mix. And that one over there is Lucky. I named her that because she was the runt of the litter, and I wasn't sure she was going to make it."

As she spoke about the fur babies, her eyes lit up, and I could see that she wasn't just a veterinarian, but she was passionate about what she did. She truly loved these animals.

"And these are just a few of them," she said, smiling proudly. "I've lost count of how many there are, but I really try to remember all the names of the animals that come into the clinic."

It was an unusual keepsake, but with the story behind it, the blanket was totally her. "Very nice," I said. "Sure, you want to use it here?"

"I watched the weather, and they kept saying rain. That was until this morning and at that point, I didn't have time to dig out my beach blanket," she sighed.

And this is what you brought? You really must hate the sand.

"If you don't want to use it, you can sit on my t-shirt instead," I offered.

"Thanks. But it's probably already full of sand," she said pointing at my t-shirt that was already half-buried in sand.

"Good point. "I grabbed all the supplies she had brought, brushed them off, and then tossed them onto one corner of the blanket. "Are you going to stay dressed or are you coming in the water with me?"

"In the ocean? You know there are sharks," she said, staring out at the sea as though searching for one.

We are at the beach and not going in?

From her fair skin tone, I didn't think she did a lot of sunbathing either. So why the beach?

"I promise, if I see one coming close to you, I'll punch it in the nose, and it will swim away," I chuckled.

"Cameron, you're not funny." That didn't stop her from slipping out of her pink and white striped sundress. "But I will trust you to save me."

My breath caught in my throat as her dress inched higher and higher, revealing pure perfection. She was curvy in all the right places, unlike the women who believe men want a stick figure. Maybe some do, but not me. I like to hold a woman, feel her curves, be able to slap her ass and Sydney has a nice one. My eyes roamed over her, but with my sunglasses, she probably only saw her own beautiful reflection. Damn it. Glad I never knew what you were hiding beneath all those layers of clothing before, or I never would've been able to focus on that fight.

"Hello. Are you just going to stand there or are you going to swim? Because I'm good sitting on the blanket if you're not," Sydney said.

My cock was hard, and I could use the cool ocean water right now. "Last one in, buys dinner."

I started a slow jog, but she quickly passed me, laughing. The water was a lot colder than I had expected and she turned around, joyfully splashing the water at me. I dove in and came up behind her only to pull her down into the water with me. I couldn't recall the last time I played in the water. For that matter, it'd been a few years since I took the time to go to the beach. I would normally just drive down and sit in my Jeep watching the waves. This was nice. Mostly because of who I was with.

We had been horsing around for a few minutes and hadn't realized how deep we'd gone. I planted my feet in the sand and the water was now chest deep. That meant it was over Sydney's head. When she noticed that, I found her clinging onto me for dear life.

"You can swim, right?" I asked. She nodded but didn't let go. I could tell she was very nervous. Grabbing her legs, I wrapped them around my waist and pulled her close. Looking into her eyes, I said, "Don't worry. I got you."

She pulled herself higher up into my arms trying to get as much of her body out of the water as she could. As she clenched her legs tighter, I winced, and she instantly let go of me. "Cameron, I'm sorry. I forgot about your injuries."

I didn't let her go and pulled her hard against me. "You're exactly what the doctor ordered."

She said, "I'm the doctor and I don't recall that."

"Do you need to see my doctor's note?" I joked.

"Depends on what else it says," she grinned.

"That you should kiss me. But if you don't want to, that's okay. I'd be more than happy to kiss you instead," I teased.

"Wow. I've never written a doctor's note like that," she said. "I would've thought they would've prescribed bed rest."

"Trust me. Holding you in my arms makes everything feel better." If we were in bed together, I wouldn't be getting any rest and neither would you. " But if you want, I'll take your note. And there's no sand in bed."

She blushed again but didn't turn away. Instead, she said softly, "Who am I to ignore another doctor's orders."

Sydney pulled herself closer to me and kissed me slowly and tenderly. My cock was throbbing, and I wanted to slip her bikini bottoms off her and bury myself deep inside of her.

Instead, I cupped her ass and pulled her closer. She moaned into my mouth, and I knew she wanted me as badly as I did her. She bit my lip gently. Fuck! It didn't matter how cold this water was, I was hard and needed her.

"Sydney...I...damn it. I..." I said, my voice husky.

"I...I want you too," she murmured against my lips.

That was all I needed to hear. I wanted to fuck her right there. Stepping a foot closer to the shoreline she slipped lower in my arms. Still holding her with one arm around her waist, I brought one hand up, slipped it into her bikini bottoms, and found her clit. I stroked it while she kissed me deeply. I could feel the hunger growing in her with each stroke. Faster and faster until her breath was short gasps.

"Yes, baby. Let go," I said before slipping a finger deep inside of her.

Her body shuddered, and I felt her clench around my finger. Slipping in a second finger, I fucked her faster until she collapsed against me.

My heart was pounding, and I felt like I was about to burst. Sydney tilted her head up to me and said, "That was... so good, but I...I want you. I want to feel you inside of me."

Hell yeah.

I pulled my swim trunks down and my cock sprung free. I wanted to rip those bottoms off her, but instead, I moved the tiny fabric to one side, gripped my cock, and guided it in. I wanted to take it slow, but a wave crashed against my back, and I plunged into her. She gasped and arched her back.

"Did I hurt you?" I asked.

She shook her head.

I entered her again, this time harder and deeper. She moaned again and started to meet my movements. We were fucking each other, hard and fast. I felt something brushing against my calf, and I didn't care if it was a shark. Take my fucking leg, just don't let this stop. I'd been with many women, but nothing had ever felt like this. It wasn't the ocean or the waves. It was Sydney. She did something to me that made me lose control. Something I'd never done before.

Another wave crashed over us, and I pumped harder. Even the ocean waves couldn't drown out her cries of pleasure as she came on my cock. I couldn't hold back, and my own release seemed to echo hers. I growled out her name. "Sydney," as I exploded inside her.

I stood there holding her, my legs trembling as I fought the waves. We finally caught our breath, and I said, "I think we should head back in."

Sydney nodded and slipped from my arms. When she turned and looked at the beach she said, "Oh, boy. There are a lot more people here than when we arrived. Do you think any of them knew what we were doing?"

Every fucking single one of them.

" Probably not."

As we made our way to the blanket, I could see the grins on the guys' faces and even got a thumbs up from a few. She was so focused on getting her towel that she didn't seem to notice.

"What do you say we pack up and go grab lunch?" I suggested.

"I thought you wanted to lay on the beach and rest?" she said.

"It's getting crowded, and if I lay next to you, I'm sure the lifeguard will come and kick us off," I chuckled.

She giggled. "Yes. For distracting him from his duties. He's supposed to be watching for sharks and people in danger of drowning."

Oh, he got a lot more to watch than that today.

" Yeah. For the safety of others. We should leave," I laughed.

I wasn't hungry for anything else but more of her.

The day was still early, and I planned on sampling so much more of what she had to offer.
