Chapter 2
Nadia

Iturn the lights off at closing time and lock the doors. Whoever is left upstairs can use the emergency exit on the other side of the venue if they need to leave. Otherwise, the morning shift will greet them tomorrow. I haven't seen Orion, Kai, or Drake walk out, so I assume they're still up there. Paddy, too.
My mind is still crowded with the image of Kai and Orion standing in the doorway of their office, with Drake smiling inside, scratching his sandy stubble, of Orion getting between me and Kyle, and how it felt to be so close to him—I wanted to inhale him in one deep breath.
I shudder as I reach my car, looking through my purse and hoping I didn't leave my keys back inside. Suddenly, someone grabs me by the shoulder and brusquely turns me around.
"What the—" I manage, then freeze when I realize it's Kyle. He immediately starts to try and grope me.
Nausea quickly unfurls in the back of my throat as he locks his arms around my waist and tries to forcibly kiss me. "I ain't leaving until I get a piece of this pie," he growls while I desperately wriggle in his hold.
"Let me go!" I cry out, kicking and struggling, but he's way stronger than he appears.
"Come on, honey, I saw you in there!"
"Are you insane?" I snap. "They're gonna kill you!"
"Not before I get what I want," Kyle laughs, his lips trailing kisses down my cheek and neck. They're wet and sloppy, like runaway snails, and I am beyond terrified and disgusted.
My fight-or-flight instincts kick in. I keep hitting whatever part of him I can reach, but to no avail. I hear rushed footsteps across the dirt. Heavy boots. Kyle disappears from my sight altogether, and I'm left panting and hugging myself, glued to the side of my car as I watch him land on his back with a shocked gasp.
Once again, Orion stands between us.
This time, however, it's different. It's dark. It's dangerous. The air is filled with something that draws goosebumps all over my skin while I try to catch my breath and understand what's happening.
Kyle gets up, but Orion is fast and strikes first. He throws a single punch, hitting Kyle square in the jaw. It's enough to knock him back for a few seconds, and then Orion turns around to look at me.
My body temperature spikes.
"Are you okay?" he asks.
"We were just talking," Kyle mumbles, blood dripping from his mouth as he tries to get up.
"You piece of shit," Orion snarls and punches him again. Harder this time.
I take a step forward. "Don't kill him!" I say.
Kai and Drake join us, both looking menacing and ready to raise hell. But their darkness quickly subsides when they see Orion is already handling the issue.
"I thought we kicked this asshole out," Kai says.
"He didn't get the hint, clearly," Drake adds.
"Please," I manage. "He's learned his lesson."
"You're afraid I'm gonna kill him?" Orion concludes, giving me a curious look. "Do you take us for monsters?"
I shake my head. "No, it's just …"
"What?" he shoots back. Kyle tries to get up again, but Orion kicks him in the stomach. "You need to keep your ass down in the dirt until I tell you to get up."
"I'm so sorry," Kyle whimpers, rolling over to the side. I can tell he's in a lot of pain.
Orion doesn't care, though. I notice Drake on his phone, making a quick call. A moment later, two club members come out from behind the building and approach us.
"Get him out of my sight," Orion commands them.
The guys are big and burly, covered in tattoos and piercings, each with arms as thick as my thighs. As soon as he sees them coming, Kyle starts to cry. "Please, don't kill me."
"Up," one of the enforcers says. When Kyle hesitates, they lift him off the ground as though he's weightless and toss him in the back of a nearby pickup truck, its wheels screeching as they drive off in a speeding frenzy.
I watch the crimson taillights disappear up the road in the middle of this dark and heavy night, needing a few moments to gather my wits about me. It was supposed to be a simple, albeit busy, Friday evening. I was supposed to serve drinks, clean the bar, be nice to folks, and then go home. None of this should've happened, yet it did, and I don't know what to make of any of it.
"I'm going to ask you again, Nadia. Do you take us for monsters?" Orion asks, his tone clipped.
"Depends on where they're taking him," I grumble, my pride getting the better of me.
He scoffs and comes closer. I shrink in his presence, but not with fear. It's something else, something far more powerful and all-consuming. My body betrays me as I lose my breath altogether. "Do I scare you?" he says.
"No."
Drake chuckles softly. "What were you doing upstairs earlier, Nadia?"
"I told you, I got lost."
"That's a silly answer," Drake replies. "And you know it."
"This relationship won't work unless you're honest with us," Orion tells me.
"Relationship?" I manage.
He closes the distance between us, and I am helpless before him. He leans in, ever so slowly, while I lean against my car. "Honesty is key, Nadia. I need the truth. Are you going to tell me the truth from now on?" he asks, the air between us thickening.
"Okay … yeah …"
Kai and Drake also inch closer, still keeping a few feet of space between us, while their eyes scan me from head to toe in a way that makes my knees feel weak.
"Are you okay?" Kai asks.
"I am now," I reply. "Thank you."
"You have nothing to thank me for," Orion says. "Now, what were you doing upstairs?"
I have an urge to bite my lower lip to stop the truth from coming out. Orion seems to be able to read my mind, because his eyes move to my lips while his part ever so slowly. Even in this weak moonlight, I can see the subtle fade of his short, black beard and the few gray strands growing over his chin.
He's in his mid-forties, the epitome of strength and vigor. His presence is doing things to me, things I only ever dreamed about. Heat gathers in my core, my panties already slick as I decide to tell the truth.
"I was curious," I hear myself say.
"About what?" he asks. Drake and Kai inch closer. Never have I felt so vulnerable yet so safe in my life. I didn't think such a conflicting sensation existed until I met these three.
"About you and Carla. I heard the rumors," I say.
"Oh, you heard the rumors," Orion repeats after me.
It prompts a chuckle out of Drake. "People talk, Orry."
"And you were curious," Orion parrots again, looking so deep into my eyes that I can feel my breath leaving my body altogether. "You were curious as to how the three of us might share a single woman?"
"I've seen my share of porn," I grumble. "I know it's not impossible."
"Ah, daddy's little angel likes porn," Kai notes, arms crossed over his bulky chest, but it's that bulge in his pants that briefly catches my eye. Those jeans seem tight all of a sudden. Good grief, this conversation is turning them on. Hell, it's turning me on. "Guess you're not that innocent, huh?"
"I never claimed to be innocent," I shoot back, strangely emboldened by his jab.
Orion raises an eyebrow and takes a single step forward, his body pressed against mine. "Maybe not. Yet we both know you are," he says. "It's written all over your face."
"For men your age, I thought you were better at reading women."
Am I insane? Where is this coming from? It's gonna come back to bite me in the ass; I can feel it.
I can also feel Orion's throbbing erection in my lower belly.
"And what were you so curious about, Nadia?" Orion asks, half-smiling. "The logistics behind the three of us fucking one woman? Or what it might feel like if it were the three of us fucking you?"
The latter. Definitely the latter.
But I can't bring myself to say it out loud. I know he can see it in my eyes, though. I'm so obvious.
Orion lowers his head and whispers in my ear.
"If your father knew what you were thinking right now, he'd lock you in a tower and throw away the key."
"But he's not here, is he?" I whisper back.
He exhales sharply and rests a hand on my hip. "You're playing with fire, Nadia. We're not the kind of people you wanna mess with."
"Yet here I am," I reply. This ego of mine will ruin me someday.
His hand moves downward, deft fingers working the zipper of my jeans. I gasp when he moves past it and slides his hand beneath my panties. I'm paralyzed, my cheeks burning like embers as his eyes meet mine. He can feel my wetness, my arousal glazing his fingers. "Damn, baby," he purrs against my lips. "You sure want to get burned."
"I … I …"
I have no words, truth be told. I am dizzy and hot, and I can't think straight. I can only tilt my head back and lose myself in his gaze while his fingers slip between my slick folds, exploring me, testing me, teasing me until my inhibitions run off to the races.
Glancing to the side, I see Drake and Kai watching with hooded eyes, the shadows of dangerous smiles fluttering across their handsome faces while Orion flicks my swollen clit, causing my knees to buckle slightly.
I hold on to the car, afraid to even touch him, worried that he might pull away and leave me in this state of clenching agony. "Do you want this?" Orion asks.
"Yes," I reply without hesitation."Oh," I moan as he glides two fingers inside me.
His fingers probe and curl with every retreat, my hips swaying with each stroke. The palm of his hand is ruthlessly pressed into my clit, slow and circular motions pushing me closer and closer to an edge I've never experienced beyond my own self-pleasuring sessions.
"Let this be a lesson," Orion says, finger-fucking me harder and faster.
I have no choice but to grab onto his muscular shoulders and hold on for dear life as he damn near lifts me off the ground. I moan harshly, hiding my face in his shirt as I come, gushing all over his hand.
As the orgasm takes over, I fall off the edge of the earth.
Orion squeezes every last drop from me, growling harshly as my fingernails dig deep into the fabric of his t-shirt, into the skin on his shoulders. "Don't lie to us ever again," he says. "Or there will be consequences."
He pulls away. For a second, I'm left barely standing, quivering and sweating in the heat of the night as I come down from the heavens. Reality settles back around me, and I remember where I am. I'm in the parking lot outside The King & Sword, trembling and recovering from one hell of a climax. Orion looks me dead in the eye as he licks his fingers.
"You have a good evening, Nadia," he says.
The three of them smile and walk back to the clubhouse. I'm unraveled, disheveled, and turned on beyond belief. Orion simply knocked me off my feet with a simple, shameless gesture. It was his way of telling me that they're in control, whether I like it or not. That there are consequences to everything I do around here, that they're not indifferent to me as a woman but also very much aware of my father's shadow looming over me.
