Chapter 26

Chapter Twenty-Six

Gianna

Dimitri led me to his bedroom, his hand warm and firm against the small of my back. As we crossed the threshold, I felt a shiver run down my spine, like I was entering a lion's den. The room was quintessentially Dimitri, and it hit me with an almost physical force.

My eyes widened as they adjusted to the dim light. The furniture was all black, a stark contrast against the pale walls. The centerpiece was a massive bed with a black velvet headboard, its faceted buttons catching the moonlight streaming through the window. They glinted like tiny stars, beckoning me closer.

I ran my fingers along the edge of a sleek, midnight-black dresser, its surface cool and smooth beneath my touch. The matching nightstand stood sentinel by the bed, both pieces as dark and mysterious as Dimitri himself.

But it was the scent that truly overwhelmed me. I inhaled deeply, feeling my heart rate quicken. The room smelled of him—a heady mixture of earth and spice that seemed to wrap around me like a tangible thing. It was intoxicating, dangerous, and utterly irresistible.

My legs felt weak, and I swayed slightly, steadying myself against the dresser. Dimitri's arm snaked around my waist, pulling me flush against him. I could feel the heat of his body through our clothes, and it sent a jolt of electricity through me.

"Like what you see?" he murmured, his breath hot against my ear. I could hear the smirk in his voice.

I turned in his arms, meeting his intense gaze. My mouth felt dry, and I licked my lips nervously. "It's very...you," I managed to say, my voice barely above a whisper.

He chuckled, the sound low and rich, vibrating through his chest and into mine. "I'll take that as a compliment," he said, his eyes darkening with desire.

As he leaned in to kiss me, I felt myself being pulled under, drowning in the dangerous allure that was Dimitri. In that moment, surrounded by his scent and wrapped in his arms, I knew I was utterly, hopelessly lost.

Dimitri's hands glided over my body, leaving trails of fire in their wake. The sound of my zipper coming undone seemed deafening in the quiet room. I shivered, goosebumps rising on my exposed skin .

In a blur of movement that left me breathless, I found myself on his bed. The soft comforter brushed against my feverish skin, a contrast that made me gasp. Dimitri hovered over me, his eyes dark with hunger—for my body, for my blood.

His mouth descended on mine, stealing my breath. Then his lips began a torturous journey down my neck, across my collarbone. Each kiss felt like a brand, marking me as his. I arched into him, desperate for more contact.

His fingers danced across my skin, leaving no inch unexplored. Every touch sent sparks of pleasure shooting through me, building a fire low in my belly. I whimpered, my hands fisting in the sheets as the sensations threatened to overwhelm me.

Then, without warning, I felt the sharp sting of his fangs piercing my neck. I cried out, a mix of pain and pleasure that made my head spin. As he began to drink, a strange lethargy crept over me. My limbs felt heavy, yet every nerve ending was alight with sensation.

The pull of his mouth on my neck sent waves of pleasure coursing through me. My heart raced, pumping my blood faster, feeding his hunger and my desire. I felt dizzy, intoxicated not just by the blood loss but by Dimitri himself.

Despite the growing drowsiness, excitement thrummed through my body. Each pull of his mouth sent a jolt straight to my core. I moaned, my fingers threading through his hair, holding him to me.

As he finally pulled away, his lips stained red with my blood, I felt myself floating on a sea of sensation. The room spun slightly, but all I could focus on was Dimitri's intense gaze and the promise of more pleasure to come.

"More," I managed to whisper, my voice husky with need. The word seemed to hang in the air between us, charged with desire and something darker, more dangerous.

Dimitri's answering smile was wicked, sending a fresh wave of heat through my body despite my drowsiness. As he leaned in for another kiss, I knew I was falling deeper into his web, and I couldn't bring myself to care.

He worshipped every inch of my body with his mouth, tracing each curve and dip with adoring kisses. My skin erupted in goosebumps as he explored every inch, setting my nerve endings on fire. When he finally reached between my thighs, I was trembling with desire. Gently yet urgently, he spread my quivering legs apart and pressed his throbbing cock inside me. The heat of his flesh against mine sent waves of pleasure through my entire being, igniting a primal need for him to ravish me completely.

My orgasm came crashing over me, a torrent of pleasure that flooded my senses and left me gasping for air. I screamed his name in ecstasy, the sound reverberating off the walls as he filled me with his hot seed.

He collapsed onto me, his body heavy and damp with sweat, his chest rising and falling rapidly as he caught his breath. His deep chuckle echoed through the room, a satisfied rumble that sent shivers down my spine.

"I'll never tire of hearing you cry out for me," he murmured, brushing his lips against my ear before collapsing into a contented heap next to me. The scent of our lovemaking hung heavy in the air, a heady mix of musk and passion.

After him taking me two more times, I fell into a blissful slip in his powerful arms.

A gentle shaking pulled me from the depths of sleep. "Gianna, wake up. It's time to go," a familiar voice murmured, its urgency piercing through my foggy brain.

I frowned, throwing an arm over my forehead to block out the intrusive light. "Dimitri?" My voice was rough with sleep, my tongue feeling like sandpaper in my mouth.

"The one and only," he chuckled.

I cracked open an eye to see him already dressed in a black T-shirt and blue jeans, looking unfairly put-together for whatever ungodly hour it was. "Time to get up, beautiful. Your dear brother is insisting we return immediately. Apparently, he can't start the day without a dose of drama and disapproval."

Alarm shot through me like an electric current, instantly chasing away the last vestiges of sleep. I bolted upright, clutching the comforter to my naked breasts. "Why? What's wrong?"

Dimitri's mouth quirked into a sardonic smile. "I guess he just really wants to meet yours truly. Can't say I blame him. I am quite the catch." He waggled his eyebrows, but I could see the tension in the set of his shoulders. "Petar is waiting in the car, probably practicing his best disapproving father scowl."

"Wait, what?" My brain struggled to keep up. "Aren't Augustus and Louise going to take us?"

He shook his head, his eyes never leaving mine. "No can do, princess. It's too early for the good witch couple. We need to leave now. Your brother's timing is impeccable as always."

A knot of dread formed in my stomach. Something was wrong. Angelo wouldn't order this unless something had gone terribly wrong. "The wolves?" I whispered, fear making my voice tremble. "Is that it?"

Dimitri's expression softened for a moment. He lifted my chin with his finger, his touch sending a shiver down my spine despite the gravity of the situation. "I don't know," he admitted. "But let me make one thing crystal clear. I would never allow them to hurt you. They'd have to go through me before they could harm a single hair on your pretty little head. Trust me." His voice was light, but there was steel beneath the words.

I nodded solemnly, hoping he was right, trying to ignore the flutter in my chest at his protective declaration.

He handed me a cup of coffee, the aroma instantly making my mouth water. "Now, as much as I'd love to continue this little morning chat, you need to move. Unless you want to dress as Lady Godiva?" His eyes raked over me appreciatively, a wicked grin spreading across his face. "I have to admit, I wouldn't object. It would certainly make the journey more interesting. "

I shivered at his gaze but couldn't help smiling. "Stop," I admonished, but there was no heat in it.

He leaned in, kissing me on the nose. "Get up, Sleeping Beauty. We've got a dragon to face."

Sighing dramatically, I forced myself out of bed, the cool air hitting my skin and making me shiver. My eyes fell on a green silky top and a black mini skirt laid out neatly. "You got my clothes from Augustus and Louise's?"

He shrugged, a mischievous glint in his eye. "I'm crafty when I want to be. They're still asleep, probably dreaming of cauldrons and broomsticks. I didn't want to wake them. Where's the fun in that?"

I narrowed my eyes, suspicion creeping in. "Is there something you're not telling me?"

He kissed me again, his lips warm against mine, and ran his fingers down my back. The moment his skin met mine, a current of energy pulsed through my body, leaving me breathless and unsteady. "Just get dressed, gorgeous. We need to hurry. Your brother's impatience waits for no man...or devastatingly handsome vampire."

As I began to dress, I couldn't shake the feeling that Dimitri was hiding something. But with his disarming smiles and quick wit, it was hard to pin down exactly what. I just hoped whatever it was wouldn't come back to bite us...metaphorically speaking, of course.
