Chapter Fourteen

I put her bags down on the floor between the two rooms. "So, I guess we go into each of them and find out which one we want."

"Okay. Sounds good."

She opens the first door and both of us step in and the flaw in my plan becomes glaringly apparent. I am standing in the room with Wisteria… and a big ass bed. Dirty thoughts hit me fully as soon as I take in the fluffy pillows and soft sheets that have been turned down just waiting for me to toss her into it. This bedroom has a stone fireplace like the one in the living room but much smaller. One side of the wall is all windows and right outside is a huge balcony with overstuffed chairs.

"Wow! This room is so… big."

I screw my mouth up, but she sees the smile I'm trying to hide.

"You are so trying not to say, ‘that's what she said', aren't you?"

"Oh yeah!" We share a laugh as we go deeper into the room so we can look through the bathroom.

"Oh my God! This is freakin' gorgeous. Look! Look at that tub!"

"Am I to assume this one is the one you will be taking?"

"I am not agreeing on anything until I take a look at the other room. What's behind this door?"

She opens the door to the side, and we find out the two main rooms…share a bathroom. I see the look on her face before she turns to me.

"Is this going to be a problem, you think?"

"Not for me. I can take a hint. When the door is locked, I will assume you are using it and equally assume that you might do the same."

She rolls her lips around her teeth and this time she's the one who is trying to hide a smile.

"Come on, Banner. Let's go check out the other room."

This one is just a little smaller and the foot of the bed is facing the window."

I open the balcony door and realize the bathrooms aren't the only thing connected.

"Looks like we are sharing a balcony too."

"Oh my God! Banner, look how pretty!" She unknowingly takes my hand in hers and holds it close. She might think the view is breathtaking, but all I can see is her.

Seeing how excited she is makes me want to take her on more trips, show her bigger houses, and pretty much give her the goddamned world.

"It's so beautiful."

"Yes. It is."

It takes me a long time to realize she isn't talking about the idea of taking her all over the world and finding new places to lay her down and make mad, passionate love to her. She's still talking about the view.

"So, uh, which one are you thinking you might want to sleep in?"

"I could sleep out here and be perfectly happy. This is… I'm pretty sure this thing is as big as my whole apartment."

"I don't think that would be advised if it started raining or storming. No cover."

She gives me a little giggle, "I'm good with taking whichever. But… you should probably take the one with the larger bed."

"That seems smart. Thank you for thinking of me."

A blush hits her cheeks before she turns around to hide it from me. "Um, so… I guess I'll…"

"I'll grab your bag and bring it in for you."

"Oh, uh, thank you. You don't have to. It's not that heavy and you probably want to spend some time taking care of… stuff in your own room."

"I don't mind. Really." I step back into the room and back out into the hall before I grab her bag.

"Hey Banner. You staying up here?"

I turn to find Aaron looking at me. "Yeah."

"Wisteria with you?"

"Yeah."

I narrow my eyes and take a better look at the younger actor in front of me. I hate to be cautious, but I've been around too long not to question what another person wants. Not to even mention I know how attractive and entrancing Wisteria is. Hell yeah, I'm going to get all defensive about some other guy asking where she's sleeping.

"They sent me up to tell you and Wisteria that we all plan to take a swim before it gets too dark, so if you want to come just grab your bathing suits before you come down or whatever. I'm just glad I found both of you, so I don't have to go off looking for her. It took me like five minutes to find you."

I relax at his words. "Yeah, she's up here with me. I'll let her know."

"Thanks man."

He turns without a second glance and leaves. When I go back into the room Wisteria has picked as her own, I find her in the room looking through a small bookshelf full of books. When I come in she straightens.

"Were you talking to someone? I thought I heard another voice."

"Yeah. Aaron came up to tell us everyone is going for an evening swim so have your bathing suit on when you go down to the meeting in the living room."

"Oh, okay. Thank you again for grabbing my bag for me."

"No problem." I drag my feet until I"m sure there is no reason for me to linger any longer. I turn around only to be stopped by Wisteria.

"You, um, want to go down on me… with me, with me? You want to go down with me? To the living room?"

I fight to hide my smile but give her a resounding answer to both of her questions. "Yes, Winnie. I would love to."
