Epilogue - April
One Year Later
I looked around the clearing where so many meaningful events had occurred and felt my heart swell with pride and happiness. The wolves from the Pinedale and Dark Moon packs had welcomed their first visitors from Sparkle Hollow. Mila and her mate had brought some of their friends to join in the experience.
"We need to tell Aiden to do this at home!" Mila said, cheering as the latest skirmish ended.
I smiled at the thought of influencing my old pack to start a new tradition. We still didn't have a formal alliance with them, but thanks to my relationship with the other lunas and my status as an ex-Sparkle Hollow wolf, we had managed to develop a tentative friendship. Pack members were allowed to visit each other's territories, and so far, everyone was getting along.
Aiden and Jasper hadn't spoken to each other since my mate had fought to have me returned to him, but that was to be expected. There were too many bad memories to have the bad blood between them erased so easily.
As I watched the cheerful faces of the wolves laugh and joke together, I felt pride in how far Jasper and I had come. If I didn't know better, I would think they were all members of the same pack.
The Dark Moon wolves had come leaps and bounds from where they had been even a year ago. There had been no violence toward their neighbors whatsoever. Even the staunchest proponents of victory by conquest hadn't felt the need to invade other packs or fight for power. Even the presence of a dozen Sparkle Hollow wolves in their midst hadn't raised an eyebrow among them.
A loud cheer arose from the crowd as two of the Dark Moon she-wolves succeeded at capturing their opponent's flag.
"Well done!" Jasper shouted beside me.
Vivian and Eloise were in their fifties at least, but they had managed to outmaneuver men half their age in the ring. For the past year, all the women of the pack had begun to train alongside the men.
Our pack no longer operated under separate rules by gender. Actual families were scarce in the pack, so Jasper had encouraged everyone to form family units within the community when we had moved into town. Within each home, everyone worked together for the good of all, utilizing their strengths to care for each other and create a safe environment where everyone could hone their talents and learn new skills.
Even better, abuse and harassment had nearly been eradicated from the pack. Any hint of mistreatment was taken with the utmost seriousness—not just by the pack's alpha, but by all.
In short, the entire community was thriving.
As the last of the night's skirmishes ended, I bid farewell to my Sparkle Hollow friends as they went back to their vehicles and headed home. The wolves living in Pinedale filtered out slowly, chatting amongst each other as they exited the trees.
"Ready to go?" Jasper asked, appearing at my side.
I nodded, and we headed back to our house in silence, enjoying each other's company. It didn't take long for us to arrive at our house on the hill, where Jasper unlocked the front door and held it open for me to go inside.
"Another successful night," I said as we went to our bedroom to get ready for bed.
"I still have to pinch myself sometimes to convince myself that all of this is real," Jasper replied.
I leaned over and squeezed his side as he removed his t-shirt.
"Ouch!" he yelped playfully, tossing the shirt in my face.
"Just checking," I teased with a grin. "Seems pretty real to me."
He pulled me toward him and wrapped his arms around me, reaching up my back to put a hand at the nape of my neck. I closed my eyes as he kissed me deeply.
"Mmm," he murmured. "Very real, indeed."
"I almost forgot to tell you," I mumbled against his lips. "Mila had a message from Sparkle Hollow."
"Oh, yeah?" Jasper replied, barely listening as he began to remove my clothing.
"They want to have a meeting with us soon. Lex and Grace want to begin peace talks between our packs," I told him.
In the time it had taken me to pass along the message, Jasper had managed to get both of us completely naked.
"Okay," he said. He pressed his lips against mine once again, placing one hand on the small of my back and the other on my breast.
I kissed him back before biting his lip lightly. He pulled away with an eyebrow raised.
"What was that for?" he asked, bringing both hands down to my backside and lifting me into the air so that my legs were wrapped around his waist.
"Are you even listening to me?" I teased as he carried me to bed.
"Of course," he said in mock offense. "I always listen to my luna. Sparkle Hollow. Peace talks. I'm totally in."
I laughed as he tossed me on top of the covers and climbed onto the bed. "I should start telling you everything while I'm naked," I joked. "I think you'd agree with anything I said if I did."
"April." He leaned over me and stared into my eyes, all seriousness. "You don't have to be naked to get my attention. You are everything to me. Anything you want is yours."
I placed my hands on his waist and tilted my head up to kiss him. "I want you," I told him.
I moved my hands to his shoulders and wrapped my legs around his waist instead. He leaned back slightly so that he could grab my hands, intertwining our fingers together.
"I want you," he repeated.
He leaned forward, pinning my hands by my head as he supported himself against them. I felt his hardness against my core and opened myself to him, allowing him to enter me slowly. He teased me with his tip until I growled at him.
"Take me," I ordered.
"Say it again," he said, continuing to delay my satisfaction.
"Alpha, take me," I begged, wriggling my hips as I tried to force him deeper inside me.
"Yes, my Luna," he replied.
The length of his shaft plunged into me, and I moaned in relief as the anticipation finally abated. We made love slowly, in no rush for our coupling to be over. Every time he brought me to the edge, he would back off, allowing the tension to build again.
When we finally couldn't handle the pressure anymore, we climaxed as one, collapsing together in a tangled mass of limbs.
"I love you, April Rose Sanders," he said sleepily.
"I love you, Jasper," I replied.
I pulled the blankets up to cover us as we fell asleep, safe in our love for each other.

Impregnated by the Alpha
The Alpha brutally crushed my heart. Now I have to marry him for the pack's sake.
It's been years since he rejected me. He's an Alpha now, and a single dad with a little girl.
I agreed to enter this arranged marriage to keep the peace, but I didn't know it'd be with him.
He says we can pretend…but then he knocks me up with his baby.
I've always been a hopeless romantic…until he broke my heart into a million jagged pieces.
It's a shock to my system to see him again, but I tell myself I can do this.
I tell myself this is my duty. I can resist his pull and serve my pack.
I can keep the kisses tame and ignore the dark desires of my body.
We have to kiss in front of the pack, and I try not to get carried away.
But my body softens for him, not caring about how dirty he treated me.
My growing belly craves his touch, not caring that this is just a business arrangement.
He rejected me, he married me, and he impregnated me.
