Chapter 17
“Can I come out of the corner yet, Daddy?”
“Have you heard the buzzer?”
“No.”
Silence followed her answer. Lalani wanted to look over her shoulder so badly. Was he looking at her?
She could imagine the picture she presented. Naked from the waist down, Lalani somehow felt more exposed than if she was totally nude. Khadar required her to be in a certain position—stepped back from the wall with her forearms braced on the wall to hold some of her weight and her bottom thrust out for his view. My very red bottom.
Don’t lie to dragons.
“That is a very good thing to remember, Princess.”
“I promise. I won’t forget now. Can I come out of the corner?”
“When the buzzer goes off, Lalani. Not a second before.”
She snorted unhappily. He knew she’d learned her lesson. He was just being mean now. A squeak from the chair clued her in that he’d gotten to his feet. She felt his footsteps on the floorboards under her feet as he moved toward her.
Thinking he was coming to help her, Lalani pushed herself away from the wall, only to feel his large hand pinning her in place. She heard him rustling with something. Then a squirt of something wet and thick.
Lalani closed her eyes as two fingers of his free hand pressed into her bottom as she presented herself to him. She tried to clinch her muscles, but he simply removed his fingers and delivered five sharp smacks to her bottom.
“Be good. I’ve already added five additional minutes on the buzzer. Two fingers could become three if you choose to continue being naughty.”
The squirt of more lubricant made her freeze. “I’ll be good. I’m sorry!’ Lalani tilted her bottom up more.
“That’s my Princess,” he praised her as he spread the lubricant over her small entrance once again. She threw her head back as he thrust two large fingers back into her bottom.
I don’t like this. I don’t like this. I don’t like this.
“I don’t believe you, Princess. I can feel you pulling my fingers deeper.”
How could she forget he could hear her dramatic thoughts?
“Princess? Imagine if this were my cock filling every bit of space inside you.” Her attention rocketed back to him with that statement. To her astonishment, Khadar matched the movement of his hand to the sexy words emerging from his mouth. “Here, Lalani. Pushing over all those sensitive nerve endings. Feeling so naughty. Making you hot as I take your bottom.”
She bit her lip, trying not to call out. She was so close.
When he pulled his fingers out of her bottom, “No!” popped out of her mouth and she turned to look at him.
“Corner!” he ordered.
“Oh!”
When she was back in position, he walked toward the door. “Naughty girls don’t get to come, Princess. Stay where you are. I’ll be back.”
She could hear water running somewhere. Trying to concentrate on regaining her control, Lalani inhaled slowly and deeply until her heart stopped thudding so quickly. The buzzer went off with a shrill sound that made her jump. She didn’t look determined to be good.
“Come, Princess. Let’s get you cleaned up.”
She jumped at the feel of his hand stroking over her spine. How had he gotten so close to her without her hearing?
“A bath, food, and some quiet time after all the shenanigans this morning,” he suggested, helping her stand up after her corner time. “I like your friends. They are very imaginative.”
“I like them, too.”
He guided her down the hallway and into his suite with the immense bathroom. When she was nestled in a warm tub, Lalani asked, “Do you think everything is finished with Barbie Ann?”
“Neither she, nor her family, can get to you here in Wyvern. I don’t anticipate the passes being open to visitors soon. Everything would have to reverse itself. And then, become safe.”
“It’s not safe out there, is it?” Lalani asked sadly.
“There are sanctuaries scattered around where people have banded together—both for good and bad.” Khadar knelt by the side of the tub and picked up a soft washcloth. He wet it in the water before smoothing it over her skin with rose-scented soap.
“That smells so good. Are there other places protected by dragons?”
“Yes. There are a few.”
“Do they all have mates like here?” she asked, trying to be subtle.
“All dragons have mates. Are you asking if all dragons are Daddies?” he checked, smiling at her.
“Yes. But I was trying not to ask.”
“All creatures are wired differently. It’s possible there are other hordes where all the dragons are Daddy Doms. That is between that group and their mates,” Khadar informed her solemnly.
“I can’t believe I didn’t know all this existed. It’s like there’s a couple of worlds operating in the same space.”
“We’re all very definitely from the same world. Humans simply chose a path to modern life that didn’t include others.”
Lalani rolled her eyes. “I guess we decided we were the alpha dogs.”
They looked at each other for a split second and she burst into laughter. “It’s hard to be the most alpha species when there are dragons around.”
“Truth.” He helped her sit up so he could wash her back. Lalani moaned with delight as he stroked up and down her spine, erasing the tension caused by standing in the corner.
“Do you think all the technology will come back?” she asked a few minutes later when he had moved on to clean her feet.
“I don’t know, Princess. I don’t know if your scientists will ever figure out what happened: a solar flare, a horrible tech virus, a change here on earth, or something else. They’ll keep investigating using the limited options available to them. Are you worrying about something?”
“No. The atmosphere is positive here in Wyvern. There might be a few people bemoaning the new situation, but most are taking steps to make life better. Having dragons helps. You all do so much.”
“That is our job. To protect Wyvern. We get a pretty good return for our efforts. Come on, Lalani. Let’s get my reward out of the tub.”
When she was wrapped snuggly in a towel, Lalani stepped forward and hugged Khadar hard.
“What is this for, Princess?” he asked, returning her embrace.
“I love you, Khadar. I can’t imagine life without you. Be careful out there, please.”
“I love you, Lalani. Know that I will always expend my last bit of energy to return to you.”
She nodded against his chest. Thank goodness it was hard to kill dragons.
Lalani squeezed her thighs together. She was still aroused from her punishment. His touch during her bath hadn’t allowed her body to cool off.
“Daddy?” she asked, tracing her finger up his shoulder and across his broad chest. “I’ve been super good.”
“You have, and I will remember that.”
“But we could…” She let her voice trail off suggestively.
“Learning a lesson is hard, isn’t it, Princess?”
“Yes. No fun at all.” She scuffed her foot on the floor.
“Would you like to go with me to pick up a couple of horses? They would probably love to interact with someone who doesn’t smell like a dragon.”
That totally changed the course of her thoughts. “I’d love that. What kind of horses are they? Are you just going to pick them up with your claws? Will they stand still for that? I’d run away.”
“Come on, Ms. I have a million questions. Let’s get you dressed, and I’ll share all the details.”
