Epilogue

One Month Later
“I can’t believe I let y’all bully me into bringing you into the organization,” I grumbled teasingly. Truth was, there wasn’t anyone I trusted more than my crew. My brothers. Though it was never my intention for them to join me, even if temporarily, I felt safest and most confident with them. The only person missing was Bully. He was still MIA, and the guys and I had been taking turns taking care of Innvy and the baby. As Thanksgiving neared, I’d be most grateful if he came back home.
“I know this is only temporary, but you know we got you always,” Beethoven said.
“There was no way we could let you start this new phase of your life alone,” Asylum added. “And by alone, we mean without us.”
“Yeah, especially after that bullshit your cousin and uncle did,” Merc replied.
That was true. Their betrayal affected me more than I’d let on. Even without me saying the words, they knew. Betrayal of any kind was expected in the lifestyle, but with it coming from them, it cut deeper.
“As long as y’all know it’s temporary,” I reminded them. “Your women made me promise to kick you out in six months and keep you safe during that time, so everything we’re going to do, we have to do before then.”
“And after?” Blaze asked. “I know they’re leaving, but what about you?”
“Yeah, you don’t plan on stepping down, do you?” Angel asked.
I thought about it for a while then shook my head. “Nah. This ain’t on me; it’s in me. I’ll be the boss of all bosses until I take my last breath.”
I looked around at my team: Asylum, Merc, Beethoven, Aspen, Blaze, Angel, Jue, and Loki. I licked the corner of my mouth and swallowed my emotions from missing my brother Bully. After saying a silent prayer for his quick and safe return, I initiated a toast. With our glasses lifted, we toasted to the new reign of the Lowe Mafia.
The Next Month
Nervous didn’t feel like a good word to use to describe how I was feeling. Eyela and I were about to find out the sex of our baby. If it was a boy, I didn’t know if I wanted him to follow in my footsteps or not. If it was a girl, I would be grateful I changed the arranged marriage rules for our organization. Regardless of if it was a boy or girl, I just wanted us to have a healthy baby.
With it nearing Christmas, finding out the sex of our baby was like an early gift. I squeezed Eyela’s hand as she looked up at me. We’d decided to have a gender reveal at the Christmas party since everyone would be at our home. Ma would be here, and that’s what I was most looking forward to. She said she would come back home after the baby was born, and I was glad I could give her something to be excited about. Someone to live for. To wake up for. To devote her time to. She’d already told us to get a room ready for her at the house, and Eyela’s mom had said the same thing too.
“Alright, mom and dad.” My eyes looked toward Nurse Atkins. “If you look right here—”
“It’s a boy!” I cheered, almost ripping Eyela’s arm from its socket. “I’m sorry, little one.” She giggled as I kissed her forehead, nose, and lips.
“It is in fact a boy,” Nurse Atkins confirmed. “Congratulations, you two!”
After cleaning Eyela up, Nurse Atkins gave us privacy. I wiped my wife’s tears as I fought to not release my own. I didn’t think it would matter either way, but knowing we were having a little boy filled me with pride.
“How do you feel?” she asked, cupping my cheek.
“Excited. Happy. Blessed. You?”
“Same. I really didn’t care either way. I’m just glad we finally know.”
My phone vibrated in my left pocket, but I ignored it as I reached into the right one. “You know what else we know? We know that though our marriage was arranged by our parents, our bond was sealed by God. We didn’t choose each other then, but I want us to now.” Her eyes lowered to the flawless, emerald-cut, solitaire diamond ring. With a gasp, her head shook as she covered her mouth. “I love you, little one. I choose you. After the baby is born, I want us to get married again. Let it be just you and me… Maybe we can do a destination wedding at that resort in Turks and Caicos. What do you say? Will you choose me and marry me again?”
Tears poured as she looked from me to the ring. Wiping her face, she giggled and nodded. Cupping my cheeks, she pulled me to her lips. “I will choose you today and every day for the rest of my life.” She kissed me again. “I love you so much.” And again. “Yes.” And again. “I will marry you.” And again.
Unable to resist, I pulled her to the edge of the chair and put her ankles on my shoulders.
“Karrington!” she whispered loudly as I pushed her panties to the side, grateful she’d worn a sweater dress.
“Huh?”
“We cannot have sex here.”
Sucking my teeth, I pulled my dick out and lined myself up at her opening. “We just found out you’re carrying my son and you agreed to marry me again. We’re doing it.”
Her giggle made me chuckle even though I was dead serious. “Baby—”
“If you’re not wet for me, I’ll stop.” The sound of smacking filled the room as soon as I brushed my head against her opening. With a moan, she bit down on her bottom lip. Her eyes lowered as I pushed my way inside. “Yeah, you want daddy’s dick. Why you playing?”
When she opened her mouth, a shaky breath came out instead of words. We’d mastered the art of quickies, so I wasn’t worried about us getting caught. The sight of her playing with her nipples had me on the verge of cumming quickly. And she came so gracefully. She grew completely silent, only allowing the sound of her leaking pussy slathering my dick with her gushing cream to fill my ears before the quietest whimpers escaped her as her walls clenched against me. Pulling her close, I filled her with more of my seed as I moaned and groaned quietly.
Kissing the side of her face, I smiled and breathed raggedly as she hugged me tightly.
“I love you so much, little one.”
“Mm…” Her arms lifted from my waist to my neck as she declared, “I love you too.”
The End for Karrington and Eyela.
