“What’s your problem?” Kaiden spits at me as soon as we’re alone. Which is a joke because I feel like we’re never alone anymore. Even when she’s not with us, all the others seem to do is talk about her, so it feels like she’s here anyway, making my life a misery.
“Nothing,” I mutter sullenly. Which of course makes them both snort because they know me too well.
“You’re going to have to get over this, Zie. Odile isn’t going anywhere.”
I grumble under my breath because there’s never any arguing with Axel, but if I can have anything to do with it, she won’t be around for long.
“Are we playing this game or are you both too in love with the new girl to concentrate?” I snap.
“I’m not in love!” Kaiden protests.
“I can multitask,” Axel replies with a smirk.
Sometimes I really do hate him.
